A Study on the Job Performance Hours and Reasonable Job Performance Hours of Teachers Working at Secondary Level Technical Vocational Education Institutes (중등단계 공업계열 직업계고 교사의 직무 수행 시간 현황과 적정 직무 수행 시간에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the job performance hours and reasonable job performance hours of teachers working at secondary level technical vocational education institutes. This study analyzed the differences in the job performance hours and reasonable hours that have been investigated according to special subject teachers and general subject teachers. Based on Job Specifications of Teachers Working at Secondary Level Technical Vocational Education Institutes, the development of research tool was finalized, and questionnaires were used as the research tool. The results of this study are as follows. First, the total job performance hours and total reasonable job performance hours perceived by teachers working at secondary level technical vocational education institutes were found to be 2,787.8 minutes and 2,934.7 minutes respectively with a difference of 146.9 minutes. In regards to the job category-specific job performance hours, they were found to be high in the order of lesson administration, extracurricular student guidance, school affairs and administrative duties, and lesson preparation and planning, while the reasonable job performance hours were found to be high in the order of lesson administration, lesson preparation and planning, extracurricular student guidance, and school affairs and administrative duties. As for the job categories with shorter reasonable job performance hours compared to job performance hours, they were found to be lesson administration, extracurricular student guidance, and school affairs and administrative duties. In other job categories, it was found that longer job performance hours are needed. Second, the job performance hours perceived by each subject teacher from other schools, they were found to be 2,888.3 minutes for special subject teachers and 2,536.1 minutes for general subject teachers, while showing 3,021.8 minutes for special subject teachers and 2,716.8 minutes for general subject teachers regarding reasonable job performance hours. The differences between the job performance hours and reasonable job performance hours perceived by teachers from other schools were found to be 133.5 minutes for special subject teachers and 180.7 minutes for general subject teachers.

Employee Drinking and Work Performance (직장인 음주와 직무수행과의 관계)

  • Previous studies related to drinking problems among Korean employees has focused on not 'drinking on the job' but 'drinking off the job'. Thus, little is known about the relationships between 'drinking on the job' and work performance among employees in Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between alcohol use including 'drinking on the job' and 'drinking off the job' and work performance among 577 employees working at the health or welfare related agencies in N-gu of Seoul. Analyses were conducted using univariate analyses and multiple regression to examine which alcohol use factors were associated with work performance among employees. As for alcohol use, 49.3% of participants reported 'drinking on the job' in the past 30 days and 48.2% of participants reported 'drinking in a company dinner' in the past 30 days. Univariate analyses on the relationships between alcohol use including 'drinking on the job' and 'drinking off the job' and 'work performance' showed' drinking on the job' was associated with all work performance items except 'being absent' and 'being hurted' were not associated with work performance. Meanwhile, 'drinking off the job' was related to only 'did not do the job well'. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that gender, subjective health status, service period, and 'drinking on the job'. These findings suggested that there is a need to more concerns about 'drinking on the job', especially 'drinking in a company dinner' among employees in Korea.

보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행과 직무만족도에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 보건관리대행기관에 근무하는 산업간호사들의 보건관리업무실태 및 근무만족도와 이들간의 관계를 파악함으로써, 산업간호업무향상 및 효율적인 산업보건관리를 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 시도되었다. 조사대상은 38개 보건관리대행기관중 24개 기관에 근무하는 산업간호사 118명중 97명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구기간은 '92년 5월부터 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그중 89명이 설문에 응답하여 이를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보건관리대행기관의 간호사는 산업간호사의 일반적 특성과 비교해볼 때 기존 산업간호사와 유사하였다. 그러나 법정휴가를 받는다는 간호사가 59.1%로 더 낮았다. 둘째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 담당사업장수는 법적으로 30개 사업장, 2,000명의 근로자를 담당하도록 되어있는데 조사결과 법적기준인 보건관리사업장의 수를 담당하는 간호사는 57.1%를 차지하였고, 담당 근로자 수로 볼때는 2,000명이하가 29.8%를 차지하여 많은 산업간호사가 법적인 기준을 초과하여 산업보건관리를 대행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보건관리대행의 방문방법으로 교통편은 대행 기관차량을 이용하며, 간호사 혼자 산업장을 방문하는 것이 대부분으로 나타났고, 방문횟수는 100인미만이 월1회, 100인이상이 월2회로 규정된 것과 비교해보면 규정을 따르는 곳이 100인 미만의 경우 97.4%, 100인이상의 경우 86.4%였다. 또한 의사나 위생사는 방문을 안하거나 년1-5회 방문하는 것으로 나타나 보건관리대행의 주제공자는 간호사인 것으로 냐타났다. 또한 사업장 방문시 업무수행장소는 휴게실이나 사무실이 87.5%, 현장이나 수위실에서 하는 곳이 70.5%나 되어 뚜렷이 업무를 수행할 장소가 마련되지 않은 실정을 나타냈다. 네째, 보건관리대행에 근무하는 산업간호사의 애로사항은 사업장내에서는 조직과 체계상의 문제, 간호사 역할에 대한 인식부족, 권한과 자율성 부족 등을 들었고, 사업장 방문시에는 사업주와 근로자의 인식부족이 우선적으로 지적되었다. 또한 산업간호사는 보건관리 대행업무에서 사업장의 참여유도, 사업장 순회점검 및 개선지도, 보건교육, 건강상담이 우선적으로 실시되어야 한다고 하였다. 다섯째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행정도는 건강검진이나 직업병관리, 보건교육, 환경위생관리업무를 비교적 많이 실시하는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 직무만족도는 전문적 위치나 상호작용, 업무요구등은 높게 나타났으나 보수와 산업보건관계자와의 관계등은 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 또한 직무만족도에 대한 총화점수는 사업장근무자가 240점중 143.8인데 비해 보건관리대행기관 근무자는 230점중 129.61점으로 더 낮게 나타났다. 일곱째, 일반적 특성별 보건관리대행 산업간호사의 직무수행정도는 연령별 30세이상군이, 결혼상태별로 기혼군이, 경력은 1년이상인 군이, 근무시간 8시간인군이, 급여수준은 50만원이상인군이, 법정휴가가 있는 군이, 자질향상교육을 받은군이 담당사업장수가 30개이하인 군이, 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 연령군이 20-24군과 30세이상인군 (p<0.05), 결혼상태별로 기혼군과 미혼군(p<0.01), 급여수준별로 50만원미만군과 이상인 군(p<0.05), 법정휴가가 있는 군과 없는군(p<0.05), 자질향상 교육을 받은군과 받지못한 군(p<0.01), 담당사업장수가 30이하인 군과 31인이상인 군(p<0.05) 간에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉 산업간호사중 나이가 많고, 기혼이며 급여수준이 높고 법정휴가와 교육을 받고, 담당사업장수가 30이하인 군이 보건관리대행업무를 잘 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 여덟째, 일반적 특성별 보건관리대행 산업간호사의 직무만족도는 연령별 30세이상군이, 결혼상태별로 기혼군이 경력은 1년이상인 군이, 근무시간 8시간인군이, 급여수준은 50만원이상군이, 법정휴가가있는군이, 자질향상교육을 받은군이, 담당사업장수가 30개이하인 군이 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 결혼상태별로 기혼군과 미혼군(p<0.01), 근무시간별로 8시간군과 9시간 이상인 군(p<0.01), 급여수준별 50만원 미만군과 이상군(p<0.05), 자질향상교육을 받은군과 받지 않은군(p<0.05) 사이에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉 산업간호사중 기혼이고 근무시간은 8시간이며 급여수준이 높고 자질향상교육을 받은 군이 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 아홉째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행정도와 직무만족도 사이의 상관관계를 보면 보수, 자율성, 업무요구가 높을수록 산업간호업무를 수행을 잘하는 것으로 나타났으며(상관관계 r>0.6, P>0.001), 전체적으로 총직무만족도와 업무수행정도와의 상관관계는 6346, P<0.001로서 만족도가 높을수록 업무수행정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로하여 보면, 보건관리대행기관에 근무하는 산업간호사는 그 특성을 고려하여 업무도 사업장 근무자와 다르게 규정되어야 하며, 담당업무의 명확한 한계를 정해 중소규모사업장의 산업보건관리업무를 책임있게 수행할 수 있도록 뒷받침이 필요하다. 더불어, 직무만족도를 높일수 있도록, 산업간호사에 대한 다방면의 지원이 필요하다고 하겠다. 또한 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사는 나이가 많고 기혼이며 경력있는 간호사를 채용하고 근로조건을 잘 개선하면 직무수행정도가 더 높아질 것으로 보인다. 좋은 근로조건의 형성과 직무만족도 등을 높여 산업간호사의 직무를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위하여는 보건관리대행기관에 관한 규정이 강화 보완되어야 하겠으며, 민간단체와 의료기관 뿐아니라 공공기관에서도 중소규모사업장의 보건관리업무를 담당하는 방향으로 전환하는 방안을 모색해 보아야 할 것이다.

The work performance and the factor contributing to the work performance of nutrition teacher & school dieticians (영양교사 (정규직)와 학교영양사 (비정규직)의 직무수행도 및 직무수행에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study is to investigate the work performances and the factors contributing to the work performance of nutrition teachers and school dieticians according to employment status in Daejeon and Chungcheongnamdo. Methods: A survey was conducted among 415 school dieticians from selected elementary, middle, and high schools in the area. This survey was used for analysis of the general characteristics and the status of working and foodservice environments. The frequency of occurrence was measured using the ${\chi}^2$-test while analysis of differences in work performance of 57 variables grouped according to 12 categories by mean ${\pm}$ SD was performed using student t-test. In addition, a regression analysis was performed to assess the influence of occupational (working and foodservice) environment on work performances. Results: All 14 environmental factors including general characteristics were different between nutrition teachers and school dieticians. In 12 of 57 variables there were significant differences in work performance between the two groups. When compared using average work performance, 5 domains showed significant difference in work performance between the two groups. These 5 domains were other works (T = 6.050), dietary habit guide (T = 4.789), menu (nutrition) management (T = 3.524), foodservice administration and evaluation (T = 2.757), and production and service management (T = 2.588). Overall, the work performances of nutrition teachers were comparably higher than those of school dietitians. A correlation analysis between occupational (working or foodservice) environments and work performances of the two groups showed that the work performances of nutrition teachers were influenced by the number of employees, number of students, meal frequency a day, annual salary, age, foodservice years of school, and school type. Conclusion: Meanwhile, the work performances of school dieticians were influenced by the number of students, number of employees, meal frequency a day, work hour, education level, age, school type, and service years as a dietitian.

  • For the development of national competency standards to successfully perform the duties by systemizing the contents of education and training such as knowledge technology grounding required to perform the duties in the industrial field, the necessity has been raised in that it can solve the time and cost of re-investment through retraining and train high-quality human resources required in the industrial field. For the development of the education and training process with a focus on duty performers for the security sector classifying work and duties into 1:1 among sub-categories based on the NCS classification system, this study enhances the site suitability of security sector education and proposes the development of the practical education and training process required by the industry by using NCS development manual and DACUM technique, the worker-centered job analysis considering 'correlation' with the actual work, 'applicability' of progress and 'efficiency' for costs and time.

A Convergence Investigation on Nursing Task Performance, Appropriate Performer, and Job Satisfaction of Nurses with Shift Work in General Ward (교대근무를 하는 일반병동 간호사의 간호업무 수행실태, 수행주체와 직무만족에 대한 융복합적 조사연구)

  • This study is a secondary data analysis to investigate the nursing tasks performance, appropriate performer, and job satisfaction in the general wards with sift work. We found that nurses performed direct (45%) and indirect nursing (55%). The workload per shift was 37.2% in the day, 35.6% in the evening, and 27.2% at night. The tasks performed after handover were 'direct nursing (34.5%)' and 'documentation and notification (25.8%)'. Nurses responded that there were some tasks that could be delegated to nursing assistants or had ambiguous boundaries with other medical personnel. There was a significant correlation between compliance to the job description of the night shift and job satisfaction (rs=.43, p=.01). These results imply that it is necessary to establish strategies that will enhance work efficiency based on job analysis by shift work, reduce handover time using EMR system, stmart devices, and clarify appropriate performers.

A Study on Working Time and Psychological Difficulties of National and Public Daycare Center Teachers in the Operation Process of an Accreditation System (평가인증 운영과정에서 국공립 어린이집 보육교사의 직무수행 시간과 심리적 어려움에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal working time and psychological difficulties of national and public daycare center teachers in the operation process of an accreditation system and seek ways of resolving them. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 413 teachers in 291 national and public daycare centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, and in-depth interviews were conducted with 7 nursery teachers. It showed that in the operation process of an accreditation system, teachers had been performing heavy tasks of 11 hours daily, and they were experiencing psychological difficulties with the conflict 'between interactions with infants and other duties', 'between free exploration and safety health', and 'between our story and external criteria'. Based on the findings, the following changes of recognition for nursery teachers were required. First, there is a need for the change of recognition concerned with the child-care of high quality, rather than performing evaluation index. Second, there is a need for the change of recognition concerned with overall optimization rather than sectional optimization. This study is significant in that it suggested the basic direction for the operation process of an accreditation system, by exploring the psychological difficulties of nursery teachers.

  • Due to COVID-19, organizations are rapidly changing the way they work by providing telecommuting and flexible work, and by expanding Smart Work spaces. In a Smart Work situation, workers have improved their job autonomy to choose their work methods, hours, and places. However, previous studies do not reflect the Smart Work situation and there are limitations to still using the previous job autonomy concept and measurements. To overcome these problems, this study derived job autonomy types such as methods, scheduling, criteria, time, and place applicable to Smart Work environments and verified that the five types of job autonomy have a statistically significant positive effect on Smart Workers' creative behavior. This study is meaningful in that it categorized job autonomy into five types applicable to Smart Work by adding temporal and spatial flexibility to the traditional job autonomy concept such as method, scheduling, and criteria autonomy and provided the basis for subdividing and evaluating the operation performance of Smart Work through multi-dimensional job autonomy verification.

  • This study analyzed the effect of tax account office female workers' education and training on job performance. The study results showed that having active attitude after training, appropriacy of educational facilities, environment and time, helpfulness on improving job-related knowledge affected workplace satisfaction, appropriacy of educational facilities and environment affected job responsiveness. appropriacy of training time, helpfulness on one's duties, personal growth and improving job-related knowledge, having active attitude after training affected self-development effort. Consequently, adequacy and helpfulness of education and training significantly affected job performance. This study provided implications for analyzing the effect of the recognition of education and training on enhancing job performance in tax accounting industry.

Effects of Self Leadership on the Customer Oriented Public Service: A Case of Local Government Public Officials (지방공무원 셀프리더십이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • Main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the self-leadership of local public officials on the customer-oriented public service provision. Structural Equation Model was applied to analyze the relationship between self leadership and customer oriented public service attitude. Positive structural relationships between self-leadership and customer-oriented attitude was confirmed from empirical analysis. While variable job-satisfaction took intermediating role between self-leadership and customer-oriented attitude. The result implies that behavioral approach might be a more effective policy measure to improve citizen's satisfaction for public services. For a extended periods, Korean government introduced various institutional arrangements to improve the customer satisfaction for public service. However, the result was not satisfactory. The result of this study suggest behavioral approach to improve public service customer satisfaction.
