  • The purpose of this study is to present theoretical and policy implications based on the results of the empirical analysis of job stress in consideration of insufficient prior research on the level of job stress by public officials in charge of social welfare and public officials in general administration. For this purpose, social welfare and general administrative positions working at the City Hall of G Metropolitan City and five autonomous districts(including the Dong community service center) were selected as subjects for research. The data analysis used the SPSS statistical program to obtain technical statistics based on the average of the lower variables of the job stress. According to the analysis, there is a difference in the subjective perception level of public officials in charge of social welfare and public officials in general administration in both internal factors of job, such as job demands and job autonomy and external factors of job, such as job insecurity, organizational system, conflict of relations, inadequate compensation, and job culture. Based on this, it presented policy measures that require the granting of self-esteem of public officials in charge of social welfare, improvement of their duties, and adjustment of their workload to an appropriate level.

  • In this paper, we propose and design an NCS-based job matching system for individuals with disabilities. This system allows users with disabilities to access it, input basic information (personal and disability-related details), and take a simple test related to job performance. The system then provides NCS job-related information appropriate to their type and degree of disability. To effectively link various NCS-based jobs, it is essential to consider the degree of disability for each type of disability. However, most evaluation tools target specific types of disabilities or assess the vocational abilities of individuals with disabilities in a limited manner, focusing only on cognitive levels or certain physical functions. This makes it challenging to apply these tools to an NCS-based job matching system for individuals with disabilities. Therefore, in this paper, we utilize the ICF coresets for VR to assess the cognitive levels or physical functions required for performing specific jobs. Additionally, we use the NCS vocational competency evaluation tools to determine the levels of vocational competencies required for performing specific jobs. By doing so, we match NCS-based jobs according to the type and degree of disability. The proposed NCS-based job matching system relies on the user's interaction with the system, which may pose challenges for visually impaired individuals or those with intellectual and autism spectrum disabilities who have low literacy levels. Enhancing the accessibility of this system could enable individuals with disabilities to receive recommendations for NCS-based jobs that suit their vocational abilities.

After relevant literature and data were reviewed, a survey was conducted on dental hygienists, who worked at dental institutes in different areas, for about four months from September through December, 2004, to find out their turnover intention and job satisfaction level. When the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were given: 1. The collective average of the dental hygienists investigated in job satisfaction was $3.30{\pm}0.70$. By area, they expressed the best satisfaction at a clear role factors with a mean of $3.53{\pm}0.73$, and they were pleased with wages factors and promotion factors the least with an average of $3.14{\pm}0.70$ and $3.18{\pm}0.80$. 2. The collective average of the dental hygienists investigated in turnover intention was $3.23{\pm}0.77$. As for connections between general characteristics and turnover intention, By age, those who aged in 21 and 25 were most intended(p < 0.001). The unmarried dental hygienists were more intended than the married ones(p < 0.001). By type of hospital, those who worked at dental clinics were most intended(p< 0.01). By career, those who had worked at one to three years were intended the most(p < 0.001), and as to the length of service at current work places, those who had worked at their current work places for one to three years were intended the most(p < 0.001). By monthly mean pay, those whose pay ranged from 1.3 to 1.6 million won found their turnover most intended(p< 0.01). 3. Regarding correlation among turnover intention and job satisfaction were both inversed correlationship, and wages factor(r = -0.249, p < 0.01) and interrelationship factors(r = -0.218, p < 0.01) had a strong correlation to turnover intention, and clear role factors had a strong correlation to job contents factors by job satisfaction(r = 0.612, p < 0.01), and job satisfaction factors had a strong correlation to job contents factors(r = 0.759, p < 0.01).

A survey was conducted to collect data from foodservice managers (N=231). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (16.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and AMOS (16.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar screens of many leaders and managers over the last several decades. The emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thinking and interaction with others. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions correlated significantly with age. The means of job satisfaction score were above the midpoint (3.04 point) scale. The organizational commitment score was above the midpoint (3.41 point) scale and was higher at 'loyalty' factor than 'commitment' factor. The means of organizational performance score were above the midpoint (3.34) scale. The correlations among the four EI (emotional intelligence) factors were significant with job satisfaction; organizational commitment, organizational performance and turnover intention. The test of hypothesis using structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence produced positive effects on job attitude and job performance. Emotional intelligence enhanced organizational commitment, and in turn, managers' attitude produced positive effects on organizational performance; emotional intelligence also had a direct impact on organizational performance. This study has identified the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational performance and attitudes toward one's job.

  • In this study, we analysed the impact of performing level of CSR-Labor standard index to corporate's expectation level to raise the employee's job satisfaction and morale. Using ordered probit analysis method, corporate higher level of performing CSR-Labor standard index is related with higher expectation of raising the employee's jobs satisfaction and morale on average. Also performing levels of individual index are positively related with expectation level. When using all standard indexes in the analysis, index 3 named "workplace without discrimination" and index 7 named "healthy and safe workplace" have significant coefficients. Therefore we confirmed that corporate making efforts to achieve safe workplace without discrimination has higher expectation to raise the employee's job satisfaction and morale. Finally we concluded that CSR-Labor standard index is properly constructed.
