The goal of this study is to examine the impact of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and attributional disposition on communication apprehension in college students. The research problems were verified by correlation analysis and multivariate regression analysis. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 239 college students. The findings are as follows: First, the higher level group in the self-esteem and self-efficacy have lower communication apprehension scores than the lower level group. Particularly, it is found that self-confidence in self-efficacy variables has the greatest effect on communication apprehension. Second, college students with high internal attributional disposition tend to feel less communication apprehension, while college students with high other's attributional disposition and accidental attributional disposition tend to have higher communication apprehension. Third, as a result of examining the relative effects of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and attributional disposition on communication apprehension, self-efficacy is found to have the greatest effect.
This study aims to explore the issue of drones and crime in newspaper articles. BIG KINDS, an online news archive of the Korea Press Foundation, collected 1,213 newspaper articles that met the terms of "drone" and "crime" in 11 central and 28 regional comprehensive newspapers between January 1, 1990 and May 1, 2021. Among them, we perform keyword frequency, centrality analysis, network structure construction, CONCOR analysis, and density matrix analysis on 117 key keywords. According to the analysis, the main issues were classified into eight, and the report analysis on drones and crimes in newspaper articles showed that the government's policy-making and social problems on protecting people's privacy, preventing illegal filming, securing navigation safety, social security and resolution. This study attempts to expand the field of humanities and social studies related to drones and crime, and specifically suggests the current status and counterplan against drone-related crimes as policy implications and media implications.
This paper analyzed features of Korean entertainment program formats exported to Asia mostly with that of top 100 Global entertainment program formats exported globally in order to explore Korean entertainment program formats to export globally. Two groups of entertainment program were analyzed in three ways, program category, cast, and material. Regarding program category, quiz game programs showed highest exportation in Global top 100 formats while only 14.3% of Korean entertainment formats exported. As for the cast members, Korean formats prefer well-known celebrities. On the other hand, Global formats produce programs featuring non-famous, ordinary people. Moving on to material of each formats, Global formats focus on puzzle/riddle whereas, Korean formats mainly focus on music/dance and family/parenting. These results indicate that Korean entertainment programs contain strong cultural aspects which generate disadvantages on exportation of these programs, compared to Global entertainment programs. In conclusion, to export Korean entertainment program formats globally, quiz game format with ordinary people and using materials that delivers less cultural aspects are need to be developed.

Recently, the impact of fine dust on health has become a major topic. Fine dust is dangerous because it can penetrate the body and affect the respiratory system, without being filtered out by the mucous membrane in the nose. Since fine dust is directly related to the industry, it is practically impossible to completely remove it. Therefore, if the concentration of fine dust can be predicted in advance, pre-emptive measures can be taken to minimize its impact on the human body. Fine dust can travel over 600km in a day, so it not only affects neighboring areas, but also distant regions. In this paper, wind direction and speed data and a time series prediction model were used to predict the concentration of fine dust in Seoul, and the correlation between the concentration of fine dust in Seoul and the concentration in each region was confirmed. In addition, predictions were made using the concentration of fine dust in each region and in Seoul. The lowest MAE (mean absolute error) in the prediction results was 12.13, which was about 15.17% better than the MAE of 14.3 presented in previous studies.

Increasingly advanced Information Technology (IT) has changed the operator so as to create more diversified and advanced traffic information demand. To deal with the changing demand in private sector, a concept of on-demand traffic information has been rapidly introduced. However VMS, a product of the first generation of ITS, which was designed to provide the unspecified individuals during driving the car with the basic level of traffic information by the public failed to actively change itself in such a changing pattern. This study was intended to describe the VMS system (tentatively, FM-VMS) which was further developed to accommodate the needs favoring the sophisticated PDA with the public role of providing the unspecified individuals with the equal information. FM-VMS introduced in this study is the device designed to transmit the voice and message to the drivers through the radio information device mounted on a car. A core technology is, unlike FM-DARC and RDS, the Water Making technology which directly inserts the digital signal into FM frequency in use. It's been currently used for broadcasting and security purpose. A detection rate as a result of testing FM-VMS system using Water Making technology was 90% or more in voice and message within 20m from test VMS. When a public-developed VMS information could be transmitted using FM frequency to the relatively vulnerable users (vulnerable to traffic information) in voice on a real-time basis to provide the regional traffic information, and furthermore, VMS message could be received through radio liquid using FM frequency only, it would obviously bring about the innovation in ITS as well as pave the way for creating the new added value down the road.
This paper focus on the demand for broadcast and video archive contents by users outside broadcasters as the archive openness and sharing projects of terrestrial broadcasters have become more active in recent years. In the process of creating works using broadcasters' released video footage, the study examined the criteria by which video footage is selected and the methods and processes utilized for editing. To this end, the study analyzed the the case of the 5.18 footage video sharing project 〈May Story(Owol-Iyagi)〉 contest organized by KBS in 2022, in which KBS released its footage about the May 18 Democratic Uprising and invited external users to create new content using them. Analyzing the works that were selected as the winners of the contest, the research conducts in-depth interviews with the creators of each work. As a result, the following points are identified. Among the submitted works, many works deal with the direct or indirect experience of the May 18 Democratic Uprising and focus on the impact of this historical event on individuals and our current society. The study also examined the ways in which broadcasters' footage is used in secondary works. We found ways to use video as a means to share historical events, or to present video as evidence or metaphor. It is found that the need for broadcasters to provide a wider range of public video materials such as the May 18 Democratic Uprising, describing more metadata including copyright information before releasing selected footage, ensuring high-definition and high-fidelity videos that can be used for editing, and strengthening streaming or downloading functions for user friendliness. Through this, the study explores the future direction of broadcasters' video data openness and sharing business, and confirms that broadcasters' archival projects can be an alternative to fulfill public responsibilities such as strengthening social integration between regions, generations, and classes through moving images.
This paper analyzed the representation of migrants in television with the example of KBS's My Neighbor, Charles. This primetime TV show with consistent popularity has showcased different types of migrants from other Korean television shows in terms of gender and race, and, partly the difference brought popularity to it. This study finds the major reason of the difference from changed migration patterns in Korea. Until recently, the main population of immigrants in Korea was composed of female brides and workers, but it became diversified to include male and the West migrants. This triggered the changes in media representation, but not thoroughly. Though the faces of migrant protagonists have been diversified, the remaining ideology of nation-centric that has been the main frame to regard migrants as someone to be integrated through traditional values persists. This study finds a few conflicts between the traditional and the change. For example, represented realities of migrants are extends to include their activities in public domain, disputes of multicultural society such as social differentiation and bias, and the criticism of Korean traditional culture. In a gender perspective, while all the marriages represented showed different kinds of vulnerability, discourses of traditional familialism were also clearly presented through different tools of representation. This study aims at contributing existing studies of media representations of migrants with a more complicated pictures in the context of social changes and migration population changes.

This study was designed to determine the Internet game and smartphone usage status of senior elementary school students. Data were collected from 6 October 2018 to 30 September 2019, and 1618 subjects were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. As a result of the study, the I-GUESS rating was 6.1% in the high-risk group, and, the S-scale ratios were 10.1% for the potential-risk group and 0.8% for the high-risk group. Physical problems related to Internet games and using smartphones were experienced by 36.0% of the students, with eye fatigue being the highest at 20.4%. Emotional problems were found in 18.5% of the students, with anger being the highest at 6.8%. Social problems were experienced by 21.8% of the students, conflicts with parents being the highest at 10.3%. As a result of surveying the main content based on S-scale and I-GUESS, it was found that the higher the S-scale ratio and the I-GUESS rating, the more broadcast content was used. The correlation between I-GUESS rating and S-scale ratio showed that the higher the I-GUESS rating, the higher the S-scale ratio, and the higher the S-scale ratio, the higher the I-GUESS rating. Future research is necessary to develop an intervention program for elementary school students from a preventive perspective.
The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of village community media in Jeju by looking at the value that it's participants have experienced in the production process. Therefore, this study focused on the creation and production process of village community media, the specific value reflected in this process as well as how to activate and operate it sustainably through in-depth interviews with 12 media participants in Jeju community. As a result of the analysis, firstly, we were able to see that the migrants who are not the indigenous became the center of village community media creation in Jeju and they felt very personal 'fun', 'enthusiasm' and 'satisfaction'. It was also completely open to access and participate in village community media and its contents were filled with stories of everyday life of village residents and hidden stories of old people in the village that were not recorded. The characteristic of the production process of village community media was the horizontal communication and it reflected well the opinions of individual media participants even if it had a joint meeting. Second, as a result of examining the values applied to the production process by village community media participants, they regarded the connection of communication by voluntary participation and restoration of communities through activation of communication in functionalism as an important value. Finally, as a result of examining the challenges and development plans for sustainable management of community media in Jeju, it was required the active participation of village residents, ensuring space for village community media, providing insufficient broadcasting equipment, and the budget support from local governments, etc. It was once again confirmed that the provision of a support system for the stable activities of local governments is an urgent task for sustainable village community media.

Therefore, a new Christian education method is now required. The purpose of this study is to suggest a new Christian education method that allows Christians to properly lead a new era as an alternative to Christian education that is experiencing such a crisis. The study also presents the metaverse Christian education platform, which is a detailed and practical method of Christian education, by incorporating the platform and metaverse that are under the spotlight in the post-Corona era into Christian education. Here, the christian educational platform refers to the system, space, and various materials that can make Christian education efficient and smooth. The metaverse Christian education platform consists of 4 stages according to the size of the platform to activate supply and demand within the platform. Stage 1 is a home education platform, Stage 2 is a community education platform, Stage 3 is a regional union education platform, and Stage 4 is an educational mission platform. The last Stage 4, the educational mission platform utilized the metaverse, which is drastically expanding in the present era, as a method of educational mission. It is meaningful that the educational mission has been embodied by providing small churches and the next generation in underdeveloped countries with educational contents, educational materials, online mentors, virtual communities, and real-time educational broadcasts within the educational platform, using virtual spaces in the metaverse.
