Although the Dept. of Geography in Korea has contributed to the social development of Korea with a remarkable growth for a short period, their social status and influence have not greatly improved and the graduates in Geography do not have many job opportunities. The low social statue and the limited job opportunities of the Dept. of Geography in Korea was due to the failure of the creation of their demand and the expansion of their sphere in response to the social changes and developments of Korea. In France, the Dept. of Geography has raised their social standings through the suited curriculum system to generate their demand and enlarge their domain with the social changes and development of French. The Dept. of Geography in Korea also needs not only the expansion of sphere but the building of the proper curriculum system for the creation of demand.

This paper aims to clarify the change in industrial structure and industry itself, and makes suggestions for the industrial development direction at transitional periods in the Chungcheongbuk-do(province) region. Because profits of regional gross production in Chungcheongbuk-do region flow out of the region, basic industries must be brought up. For this phenomenon, main manufacturing must be developed for the industrial power of the next generation of high added values that combined with digital industry; the petrochemistry, semiconductor industry as major type of industry, and automobile industry as minor type of industry. Also for supporting industry, education service, health and welfare, research and development services that are knowledge-based service industries in Chungcheongbuk-do region, must be formated the network among corporations and constructed regional innovation system linked with educational institutions, precision chemistry industry and biology technology as major type of industry, and precision machinery and tools industry as minor type of industry.

글로벌 경쟁 환경 하에서 신발산업이 지속적으로 성장, 발전하기 위해서는 정보기술의 활용도 증진과 e-비즈니스의 활성화를 위한 정보화 교육이 필수적이다. 정보화 교육의 실행을 위해서는 먼저 체계적인 교육 과정이 개발되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 부산지역의 신발업체를 대상으로 실시한 교육수요조사를 토대로 교수체제설계(ISD: Instructional System Design)기법을 적용하여 신발업체를 위한 정보화 교육 과정을 개발하고 이의 효율적 실행을 위한 각종 지원 방안을 제시한다. 교육과정 개발을 통해 낙후되어 있는 신발산업의 정보화 교육을 지원하고, 업종별, 직능별, 수준별 맞춤식 교육의 기틀이 마련될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to explore and compare the regional characteristics of textile industries and corresponding education systems in Korea and Italy. The Italian textile industry is well known for its continuous development of high quality textile fabrics and aesthetic fashion design. One of contributing factors for the success of Italian textile industry is its regional specialization of the industry and corresponding education systems. In particular, the regional education systems in Italy are designed to educate and supply labors necessary to the development of the regional textile industries. According to the study, this characteristic is well shown in their curriculum which emphasizes the practicality and corporation with the industry. In contrast, the Korean education system for the textile industry ignores the regional specialization and its curriculum is designed, in large part, to produce textile designers. This causes difficulties in meeting the various demands from the industry such as the textile planning, textile production, and textile marketing and sales. To solve the problems, we must encourage the industrial-educational corporation to promote the practicality of the textile education system and make diversification and specialization of the curriculum of textile education to cultivate men of talent, such as merchandisers, fashion coordinators, converters, stylists, and displayer, necessary to the development of the Korean textile industry.

The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the motivation of university lifelong education and the factors that are important in selecting it. In the motivation for participation of adult learners, learning new knowledge and skills in the first place and learning new things in the second place were good, so that they could learn together in the third place. Active school investment in faculty and staff will be needed to increase program diversity and quality through professionalism. Adult learners are getting information from the system they are interacting with, and furthermore, they learn the information from the public relations of university professors. Since they are acquiring paths and information through acquaintances, it is necessary to continuously promote the curriculum to unspecified adult learners. Advertisement should take advantage of various convergence strategies such as hanging banners in the area, publicity of the subway, local newspapers, word of mouth, SNS, and the Internet.

The objective of this study is to develop an IS curriculum and its action plan for footwear industry based on the Instructional System Design(ISD) that is widely used in curriculum developments. To this end, six steps, including a goal setting, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are employed. Firstly, the explicit goal of IS curriculum development is defined and demands of IS education from the footwear companies are identified with questionnaires and interviews. In the design stage, the IS curriculum map is presented. With this map, the specific IT courses are established, classified by a type of industry, a function, and a level of skills. For the implementations, such particular actions as a selection of textbooks, places, managing trainees, and a training support plan are explained. Finally, the various evaluation methods are presented. The suggested IS curriculum can be applied to IS educations for the footwear companies and other related industries.

Science-related affective domain is considered as a very important domain for achieving students' scientific literacy. Most science educational objectives include some objectives about affective domain such as scientific attitudes, values, curiosity, interests and concerns about nature and science. In this research, the evaluation framework and items of science-related affective domain were developed. The evaluation framework consists of three main categories such as cognition, interest and scientific attitudes and 16 subcategories. The validity of the evaluation framework is tested by ten science educators. Forty-eight items are selected among item pool by considering item response analysis and item-test correlation coefficient. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$ of the tests is 0.83(cognition and interest) and 0.86(scientific attitudes). The results of the test are as follows. First, boys got higher scores than girls. Second, elementary students got higher scores than secondary students. Finally. students in urban areas showed higher scores than those in rural areas.

국제연합 식량농업기구 (FAO)에 의하면 UR 협상과 WTO 체제 출범 이후 농산물 수출국가와 선진국에서의 소득균형은 일반적으로 향상되었으나 순식량수입국가나 개발도상국가에서는 소득균형이 더 악화되고 농업영역의 쇠퇴를 가져왔다. 더욱이 식량안전상황은 농산물의 급격한 수입으로 여전히 불안하고 농가판매의 지속적인 악화, 농촌과 도시간의 소득격차가 큰 것으로 나타나고 있다. 특히 인간의 건강과 환경에 유해한 GMO의 거래는 소비자의 식품안전과 잠재적 위해 때문에 적절한 조치를 필요로 하고 있다. 아시아 지역 개발도상국가들에서의 식량의 안정적 공급과 농촌 지역사회 개발의 핵심적 과제는 인적자원의 개발, 기술역량의 신장, 하부구조의 개선, 농업기술 이전의 효율화 등으로 요약될 수 있다. 이러한 상황에서 농업교육, 연구 그리고 지도, 특히 아시아의 주요작물 영역에 대한 더 많은 투자가 필요하며 많은 아시아국가들에서 우선적으로 요구되는 농촌청소년교육은 빈곤퇴치, 식량의 안정적 공급 및 식품의 안전 그리고 지속적이고 균형있는 농촌개발 등이다. 이를 위한 정부와 국민, 특히 젊고 열정적인 사람들이 함께 협력해야 빈곤퇴치와 식량의 안정적 공급 및 식품의 안전 등 농촌의 사회경제적 발전이 가능할 것이다. 진행되고 있는 WTO 체제 하에서의 아시아 지역 농촌사회 발전과 식량문제 해결을 위해서는 교역과 환경, 그리고 개발의 총체적 접근이 중요하며 식량의 안정적 공급을 위한 농업, 농촌의 하부구조가 열악한 개발도상국 소농에 대한 우선적 배려가 필수적이라 할 것이다. 특히, 농업분야 생산 유통 분야의 개선을 위한 농업교육, 농촌지도의 국가적 강조와 농촌 청소년 교육 훈련과 육성의 중요성에 대한 인식과 이에 따른 국가적, 국제적 협력이 필요할 것이다.

Arguably many studies point out that regional innovation capabilities are accepted as a major source of growth for the sustainable regional economy. Recently, a smart specialisation strategy that should reflect regional characteristics in the policy implementation process of the regional innovation system has been proposed, but empirical studies have only presented limited results. This study attempts to overcome limitations by approaching smart specialisation as a supplementary strategy for existing regional innovation research. To this end, smart specialisation was not an alternative strategy for the regional innovation system, but rather the institutional elements of regional innovation capabilities, and the relationship between regional innovation capabilities and the local economy was analyzed to identify the impact of smart specialisation on the local economy. A study was conducted through a panel model consisting of 16 cities and provinces in Korea and 10 years from 2009-2018, and the FGLS model was finally used through the process of searching for an appropriate panel model. As a result of the study, smart specialisation consisting of industry related variety and non-related variety had a positive effect on the local economy. In addition, other regional innovation capabilities measured by dividing them into base and facilitating factors also had a positive effect on the local economy, reaffirming the results of positive research between existing regional innovation and the local economy. This study is meaningful in that smart specialisation lacking in domestic research was viewed as an institutional element of regional innovation capabilities, and it was measured through regional industry-related variety and non-related variety.

This study examines the characteristics of teacher education system and professional standards of teachers in Canada through analysis of the current teacher education curriculum and salary grids of teachers in Canada. As a result, the following characteristics were found. First, contents and theories acquired during the course of teacher education are connected to the actual practice to increase the site-compatibility. Second, professional standards of teachers is rather holistic, than detailed and systematic. Based on the findings, the following implication can be drawn. To enhance the site compatibility of teachers in the Republic of Korea, it is requisite to build a persistent, and cooperative relationship among the faculty members of teacher education program, the members of the community, and supervisor teachers of practicum schools. Also, it is necessary to come up with a system that directly connects the professionalism of the teachers and the salary grids, as the salary of teachers are adjusted according to the completion of degree or courses, reflecting the professionalism.
