Design and Implementation of e-Call for Public Bus (대중버스용 긴급구난체계(e-Call) 설계 및 구현)

  • As ICT technology develops, researches on the construction of communication system for the rapid processing using ICT technology in case of traffic accidents are actively under way. e-Call (Emergency call) is a vehicle ICT-based emergency rescue system that recognizes and reports traffic accidents. On the other hand, the existing bus information system collects the positioning data through the position tracking system mounted on the bus and transmits it to the center, and then provides various services based on the bus information of the collected buses. In this paper, we designed and implemented an emergency rescue system that using the existing bus information system in order to deal with accidents, failures, and emergency situations on public buses quickly.

  • lots of problems are emerged on the conventional surveillance systems at urban railway infrastructure. Many projects and research activities have been processing on those problems. Moreover, The interest in Intelligent Video Surveillance System that provides accident prevention and safe driving in urban railway service is dramatically increasing. This paper represents a drawback of existing studies and introduces a new solution using RFID TAG technology to improve the existing problems. Finally, it describes the practice test of automatic notification system based USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for a dangerous situation.

  • Vehicular communications can be applied for transmission of various safety messages or Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) applications by combining vehicle/road technology with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). In this paper, we represent measurement results of radio characteristics of vehicular communications using IEEE 802.11p based system in urban environments. Radio characteristics are based on the packet error rate (PER) and received spectrum mask. Using measurement results, we discuss implementation issues of vehicular communication systems for supporting reliable services.

  • Artificial Intelligence is one of the technologies that are being discussed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, attracting the attention from companies around the world and this technology is being applied to various industries such as education, finance, automobile, etc. AI integrated ChatBot is a system designed to respond to user questions according to defined response rules. This system is gradually expanded from simple inquiry responses for intelligent virtual assistant service, weather, traffic, schedule, etc. to service provisions through user pattern analysis, to solidify its position as a life-style service. As a result, research on AI integrated ChatBot platform has become necessary. Therefore, this study suggests the design and implementation of an intelligent chatbot service platform for small businesses.

  • As one of the most serious urban problems, routine city traffic congestion causes not only unpleasantness but also damage with increases of road tolls. Recently, many TDM plans are being improved along with plans to more effectively utilize established facilities and maximize the effect. To achieve the purpose of Intelligent Transport Systems(ITS). Recently, the core of ITS is Advanced Traveler information Systems (ATIS.) that are activity researched. A development of various muti-media system is very important of road guideline. First of all a business processing for offering travel information and give a consideration to the United states of various muti-media systems.

Development of Korea eCall System and Effects Analysis through Integrated Demonstration (한국형 eCall 시스템 개발 및 통합실증을 통한 기대효과 분석)

  • eCall system assists traffic accident victims by connecting emergency rescue institutions with accurate accident information, helping them to identify the on-site situation in the event of a traffic accident. The purpose of this paper is to develop a Korean eCall system that reflects the requirements of domestic emergency rescue institutions and to analyze the expected effects through an integrated demonstration. The results of an integrated demonstration indicated that the communication success rate between the eCall IVS and the call center was 99.25%, and the average location information error was 1.2 m. In particular, it has been confirmed that the average location information error is less than 21.6 meters, as assessed by the Korea Communications Commission when evaluating the accuracy of domestic emergency rescue location information. When the eCall system was introduced, it was confirmed that the time from traffic accidents to hospital arrival could be shortened by 3 m 38 s for highways and 1 m 22 s for general roads. By it to traffic deaths from 2005 to 2022, it was analyzed that the number of fatalities decreased by 82,662, resulting in a reduction of approximately social costs.

  • 본 논문에서는 Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)를 이용하여 도로의 Internet of Things(IoT)를 실현하는 기술을 구상한다. RFID태그를 도로에 일정한 간격으로 설치하고, 자동차에 설치된 RFID 리더기가 태그에서 정보를 읽고 실시간으로 중앙통제센터에 보낸다. 이 정보를 분석하여 교통량, 사고유무, 사고위치 등을 파악하여 교통문제나 2차사고를 예방한다. 이 기술의 목적은 현재 상용화된 Global Positioning System(GPS)기술이 감지하기 힘든 환경이나 Vehicle to Vehicle(V2V)가 가지는 해킹의 문제점을 보안하여 안전한 운전환경을 제공하는데 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 지능형교통시스템(u-ITS: Ubiquitous Intelligent Transportation System)에서 발생하는 다량의 데이터를 실시간 저장하기 위해 메인 메모리 데이터베이스(MMDB: Main Memory Database)와 디스크 상주 데이터베이스(DRDB: Disk Resident Database)를 사용하는 시스템 구조와 RM(Rate Monotonic)를 기반으로 데이터의 발생 주기에 따라 MMDB와 DRDB에 실시간 저장하는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • Recently, automobile traffic systems are evolving toward Intelligent Traffic Systems(ITS) with smart sensor technology and collaboration between traffic systems and external ones. On the contrary, Korean ITS services have little improvement comparing with other communication services. The main causes of this phenomenon are due to already allocation of ITS recommended frequency band to broadcasting services, and also dedication of DSRC frequency band over ISM band resulting in interferences. This paper provides the analysis of current Korean ITS technology status, and two suggestions to activate the ITS industry. First, need to fix the ITS standard combining WAVE and DSRC specifications soon. Second, ITS frequency allocation to complete its standard implementation in near time frame.

  • 이 글에서는 자동차 Body 전자제어 시스템 개요 및 개발동향에 대하여 살펴보았다. 향후 Body 전자제어 분야에서는 사고예방을 위한 첨단 안전 시스템 개발, 정보 및 통신시스템을 이용한 Navigation 시스템 개발, 차량 LAN구축, ECU(Electronic Control Unit) 통합기술 개발을 위한 노력이 가속화될 것으로 전망된다. 이러한 시스템의 개발을 위해서는 자동차 부문과 관련 전자 부문의 긴밀한 공동 연구체제가 확립되어야 함과 동시에 통신기능을 갖춘 지능형 도로 시스템 구축, 교통전용 방송국 운용 등 정부차원에서의 Infra-structure 건설이 시급한 상황이다. 이를 위하여 정부 주관하에 자동차 각사, 유관업체 및 연구기관의 참여로 전국 도로에 대한 Digital Map 개발을 위한 G-7 Project 등의 다양한 계획이 진행중이거나 추진 예정으로 있는 바 성공적으로 수행될 경우 2005년을 전후로 하여 안전성 및 편의성 측면에서 완벽한 시스템을 구축할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
