Design and Analysis of Korean Lunar Orbiter Mission using Direct Transfer Trajectory (직접 전이궤적을 이용한 한국형 달 궤도선 임무설계 및 분석)

  • The Lunar orbiter is expected to be inserted into a ~300km low Earth orbit using Korea Space Launch Vehicle-II(KSLV-II). After the states are successfully determined with obtained tracking data, the Trans Lunar Injection(TLI) burn has to be done at appropriate epoch to send the lunar orbiter to the Moon. In this study, we describe in detail the mission scenario of the Korean lunar orbiter from the launch at NARO Space Center to lunar orbit insertion(LOI) stage following direct transfer trajectory. We investigate the launch window including launch azimuth, delta-V profile according to TLI and LOI burn positions. We also depict the visibility conditions of ground stations and solar eclipse duration to understand the characteristics of the direct transfer trajectory. This paper can be also helpful not only for overall understanding of ${\Delta}V$ trend by changing TOF and coasting time but for selecting launch epoch and control parameters to decrease fuel consumption.

  • The year 2021 is a monumental year for the history of Korean cinema that inferiority of the sci-fi genre, by the appearance of two sci-fi blockbuster films- produced by Netflix and produced by TVing-at the same time. Coincidentally, both of movies are sci-fi films which appear post-human such as robot and clone. As can be seen in 『Frankenstein』 story, the progenitor of science fictions, the mankind have imagined beings similar to humen or post-human who are another human being for a long time. deals with the unusual subject matter of a space scavenger and a space janitor, and the main character is a robot that very familiar with human. is the story of a man who lives for a limited life protects and accompanies a clone named Seobok who was created as a test subject. This film deals with the philosophical themes like death and eternal life through the existential concerns of two characters. use Korean Shinpa -Korean specific senimental code-sentiment on narrative, and has the character of a road movie set in Korea's geographical space.

Triple Junction GAGET2-ID2 Solar Cell Degradation by Solar Proton Events (태양 양성자 이벤트에 의한 삼중 접합 GAGET2-ID2 태양전지 열화)

  • In nearly all space environments, the solar cell degradation is dominated by protons[1]. Even through a GEO orbit lines in the electron radiation belts, the protons emitted from any solar event will still dominate the degradation[1]. Since COMS launch on June 26 2010, the proton events with the fluence of more than approximately 30 times the average level of perennial observations were observed between January 23 - 29 2012 and March 07 - 14 2012[16]. This paper studies the solar cell degradation by solar proton events in January and March 2012 for the open circuit voltage(Voc) of a witness cell and the short circuit current(Isc) of a section connected to a shunt switch. To evaluate the performance of solar cell, the flight data of voltage and current are corrected to the temperature, the Earth-Sun distance and the Sun angle and then compare with the solar cell characteristics at BOL. The Voc voltage dropped about 23.6mV compare after the March 2012 proton events to before the January 2012 proton events. The Voc voltage dropped less than 1% at BOL, which is 2575mV. The Isc current decreased negligible, as expected, in the March 2012 proton events.

  • Korea Space Launch Vehicle II (KSLV-II) planned to launch in 2021 is 3 stage rocket which can inject 1.5 ton satellite in low earth orbit. KSLV-II will adapt the newly developed liquid rocket engines for its propulsion system of each stage. For the evaluation of development level for rocket engine, integrated system test performed in appropriate facility is needed. In this study, test article and major parameters for certifying the propulsion system of KSLV-II were reviewed and optimum test cycle and test duration for satisfying system reliability requirement were illustrated.

  • 전북대학교 고온플라즈마응용센터에 구축된 0.4 MW 급 분절형 아크 가열 풍동은 초음속 비행과 우주 비행체의 지구 재진입 조건에서의 유사한 환경 모사가 가능하다. 극한상황에서의 고엔탈피 플라즈마 유동은 내열재료의 삭마 거동 연구와 고온재료의 성능평가에 중요한 역할을 수행 할 수 있다. 이러한 고엔탈피 초음속 플라즈마 유동장의 플라즈마 특성 평가 및 진단은 플라즈마와 내열재료의 상호작용 연구에 중요한 변수를 갖는다. 이를 위해 열유속 탐침, 쐐기 탐침, 고속 카메라 및 광분광기 등의 측정장비를 사용하여 열유속, 초음속 플라즈마의 속도, 플라즈마의 방전특성을 관찰하였다. 본 실험에서 사용된 분절형 아크 토치는 마하 3의 속도 유지하기 위해 토치 내부 압력 4 bar, 반응기 압력 40 mbar를 유지하였다. 토치에 공급되는 Ar(5%)+Air(95%)의 방전기체의 유량은 15 g/s 로 토치에 주입 되었다. 또한, 플라즈마 토치에 가해지는 입력전류는 200A ~ 350A로 10MJ/kg 이상의 엔탈피를 갖는 초음속 플라즈마 유동을 형성하였다.

  • Recently microwave remote sensing technology is widely used in Global environment study. Expecially Synthetic Aperture Radar sensing technique has many application to geographic information. Proposed AIRSAR Pacific Rim Deployment 2000(PACRIM2) is a NASA-sponsored science mission. AIRSAR is a test-bed instrument for new radar technologies in near future from space shuttle and satellite systems. In this paper the overview of PACRIM2 overview and sensors are introduced. Examples of processed data from new sensors are also shown.

  • There is no doubt that science -and, therefore, science education- is central to the lives of all (NGSS, 2013). This manuscript focuses on ideas in astronomy that are at the foundation of elementary students' understanding of the discipline: the apparent motion of the sun explaining the day / night cycle on Earth. According to prior research demonstrating that neither children nor adults hold a scientific understanding of the big ideas of astronomy (NRC, 1996), understanding of concepts may base students' progress towards more advanced understanding in the domain of astronomy. We have analyzed the logic of the domain and synthesized prior research assessing children's spatial representation from an earth- and a space based perspective to develop a set of learning trajectories that describe how students' initial ideas about apparent celestial motion as they take school science can be build upon. In this study elementary students' representations were compared by their resident context including urban and rural. This study may present a first look at the use of a learning progression framework in analyzing the structure of astronomy education. We discuss how this work may eventually lead towards the development and empirical testing of how children learn to describe and explain apparent patterns of celestial motion.

  • 최근 세계전파통신회의(WRC)에서는 자연 재해를 예방하여 인명 안전을 보호하기위해 해양 및 우주 등 지구 환경 감시를 위한 레이더 주파수의 분배를 시행하였고, 또한 WRC-12 에서도 추가적 분배를 논의하고 있다. 이러한 추세의 일환으로 정부에서는 3.0 5.6, 9.3 GHz 등의 대역에 탐지 레이더를 설치 및 운용 중에 있으며, 일반적으로 레이더 송신 출력의 비고조파 불요 및 2차 고조파 스퓨리어스 방사가 해당하는 M/W 방송 중계망에 유입되어 전송품질을 열화 시키는 주요인 되기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 M/W 방송 중계망에 레이더 간섭이 유입되는 경우에 대해 안정된 전송품질 확보를 위한 보호비, 전송 오류, 가용율 설정 등을 산출하고 결과를 분석한다. 분석 대상으로는 탐지 레이더 신호의 비고조파 불요 방사와 2차고조파 스퓨리어스 방사가 현재 운용중인 6.2 GHz 대의 방송 중계 시스템의 수신기에 유입되는 경우로 간섭 분석을 수치계산을 통해 제시한다. 적용한 분석 방법은 상이한 주파수 대역에서 이종 서비스 간의 간섭 분석 및 주파수 조정절차에도 적용이 가능하다.

  • As the satellite system becomes more complex, the probability of unpredictable failures may be increased due to design inadequacy, experience deficiency, lack of problem recognition. Poor quality control, improper testing, and workmanship fault. Consequently, these problems can lead to the reduction or end of the satellite mission lifetime. This article addresses general satellite failure modes and factors influencing satellite mission life. The mission life factors of LEO sun-synchronous KOMPSAT spacecraft are investigated, in which its mission life is predicted based on these factors. Since the end of mission due to random failures is not predictable, the predictable mission life factors such as power budget, propellant budget, battery charging/discharging cycle, radiation effects payload reliability, single point failure, and redundancy are primarily investigated.

  • 최근의 융합학문의 발전으로 생물, 물리, 화학, 천문, 우주학, 지구과학 분야에서도 병렬 프로그램을 이용한 대용량 데이터를 처리하는 빈도가 높아졌다. 그러나 병렬 프로그래밍은 병렬환경의 전문성을 가지고 있지 않는 다른 학문의 전문가가 사용하기는 어려운 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 병렬환경의 비전문가도 사용하기 용이한 관심 지향적 병렬 프로그래밍 모델과 자바 기반으로 구현된 AspectHPJ 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템의 첫 번째 특징은 일반사용자가 Sequential 코드로 프로그램을 작성하고 병렬화 하고자 하는 코드영역에 병렬마크를 사용하여 병렬코드로 전환하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 두 번째는 병렬환경 요소 (프로세서 개수, 분산배열 속성)를 AOP 개념의 관심 (aspect)으로 추출하여 사용자가 보다 용이하게 병렬환경 요소를 설정할 수 있게 해주는데 있다.
