Following the collapse of Hanjin Shipping, building a strong maritime cluster is one of the policy measures for the re-construction of the Korean shipping and shipbuilding industries. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop a policy alternative for building a maritime cluster. Using Porter's diamond models, we analyzed the Imabari maritime cluster of Japan, which is characterized by cooperation between key industries, such as shipping, shipbuilding, shipbuilding equipment, and finance. The Imabari Maritime Cluster is equipped with complete domestic demand conditions and related supporting industry conditions. Although the strengths of the production conditions include excellent family-based management and strong support from regional administration and banks which develops independency among cluster members, the weak points include the absense of robust port services and difficulty in recruiting young talent in small and medium-sized cities. We can confirm that the company's strategy is focused on stable management, rather than a short-term view.
Block chains began by recognizing the danger of centralized control of financial systems after the 2008 financial crisis. From the beginning of 2008, blockchain has been developing a lot of attention and technology, starting with a tremendous innovation called cryptographic destruction based on technology, a block chain called Bitcoin. However, the vulnerability has also been discovered over time and the damage has been repeated. But in the fourth industry of the 21st century, many advances and technologies based on them are expected to emerge. Therefore, this paper proposes new analytical transaction protocols for vulnerabilities in cryptographic currency transactions. The proposed transaction protocol is a way to authenticate once again at the end of the transaction and the transaction is concluded with this authentication. It presents countermeasures by adding security elements between users to the transaction process rather than internal security to transaction vulnerabilities.
Due to the development of fintech technology, financial transactions using smart phones are being activated. The password for user authentication during financial transactions is entered through the virtual keypad displayed on the screen of the smart phone. When the password is entered, the attacker can find out the password by capturing it with a high-resolution camera or spying over the shoulder. A virtual keypad with security applied to prevent such an attack is difficult to input on a small touch-screen, and there is still a vulnerability in peeping attacks. In this paper, the entire keypad is divided into several groups and displayed on a small screen, touching the group to which the character to be input belongs, and then touching the corresponding character within the group. The proposed method selects the group to which the character to be input belongs, and displays the keypad in the group on a small screen with no more than 10 keypads, so that the size of the keypad can be enlarged more than twice compared to the existing method, and the location is randomly placed, hence location of the touch attacks can be blocked.

Artificial Intelligence is one of the technologies that are being discussed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, attracting the attention from companies around the world and this technology is being applied to various industries such as education, finance, automobile, etc. AI integrated ChatBot is a system designed to respond to user questions according to defined response rules. This system is gradually expanded from simple inquiry responses for intelligent virtual assistant service, weather, traffic, schedule, etc. to service provisions through user pattern analysis, to solidify its position as a life-style service. As a result, research on AI integrated ChatBot platform has become necessary. Therefore, this study suggests the design and implementation of an intelligent chatbot service platform for small businesses.
For many companies, selling in an international market place is the ultimate challenge. One of the greatest problems facing exporters is the increasing insistence by importers that trade be conducted on open account terms. This often means that payment is received many weeks or even months after delivery. Unsurprisingly, many organisations find that giving buyers credit in this way can cause severe cash flow problems. Further problems can arise if the importer delays payment beyond originally agreed terms or makes no payment at all because of financial failure. In particular, many SMEs find it difficult to finance their production cycle, since after goods are delivered most buyers demand 30 to 90 days to pay. Therefore, International factoring for SME has been developing very rapidly in the world trade financing markets. Functions of international factoring as trade financing is a comprehensive financial service that includes credit protection, accounts receivable bookkeeping, collection services and financing. Factoring can be a powerful tool in providing financing to high-risk, informationally opaque sellers. International factoring is very helpful for international exporters to get competitiveness in the world markets. In Korea, a few banks are operating international factoring. But International factoring in Korea could not play a key roll as general trade supporting service. So, This study is to suggest importances of international factoring development for trade development and to investigate real operation situations and problems by way of interviews with operators in banks that are operating international factoring and suggest development strategies for international factoring in Korea.
This study explores the role of relationship banking for the exports of SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) in Korea. Using a sample of SMEs listed on the Korean stock markets between 2004 and 2018, I find that relationship banking has a positive impact on exporting behaviors of SMEs. This result indicates that relationship banking is suitable for SMEs to raise their funds in the export decision-making since the incentive for banks to obtain soft information enhances SMEs' access to external finance. In particular, through further analysis considering financial constraints, I find that the positive impact of relationship banking on exports is amplified for financially constrained SMEs. In addition, the positive impact on exports is also amplified for export starters. Finally, relationship banking provides benefits for SMEs' export decision-making regardless of the financial crisis. To sum up, relationship banking may be useful means of financing for Korean SMEs whose creditworthiness cannot be assessed only by hard information. As the role of finance in international trade has recently been highlighted, this study provides insightful evidence that relationship banking may enhance exports of SMEs as a source of trade finance.
This study is conducted to review issues related to the use of the Simple Agreement for Future Equity(SAFE), which has been introduced as one of the venture investment methods in Korea since 2020, and to suggest policy implications for facilitating the utilization of this investment method. With the recent rapid decline in venture investment, private venture investment associations little use the SAFE in recent years. However, after adopting the SAFE, Korean's SAFE have been utilized mainly by policy financial institutions, and it is evaluated that the system has been revitalized to some extent, with some private venture investment associations also utilizing the SAFE. The results of comparing the SAFE with other equity investment contracts, the additional risk rate related to the failure of follow-up investment is estimated to be approximately 1.8%p. This shows that the additional risk is not greater than the advantages of the SAFE. In other words, it can be judged at a level where it is possible to offset advantages of the SAFE that investors must bear with the additional risks, which shows that there are less burden in terms of using the SAFE. In light of the fact that the venture investment ecosystem can become more active as various venture investment methods are developed and utilized, it is necessary to actively utilize the SAFE method to support start-up companies.

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether startup CEOs' self-efficacy and hope have a mediating effect on the relationship between satisfaction with an acceleration program and business performance. While the impact of acceleration programs on business performance has been validated through various studies, this research aims to examine whether differences in business performance, despite participating in the same program, are attributable to the characteristics of the participants. To this end, satisfaction with the acceleration program was set as the independent variable, business performance (financial performance and non-financial performance) as the dependent variable, and self-efficacy and hope among positive psychological capital as the mediating variables. A survey was conducted on startup CEOs who participated in acceleration programs offered by financial public institutions, specifically the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and the Industrial Bank of Korea, in order to minimize the influence of differences in accelerator competence and program quality. The empirical analysis results indicate that satisfaction with the acceleration program has a positive effect on both the financial and non-financial performance of startups, and hope serves as a mediating factor in this relationship. This study suggests that to improve business performance of startups, policy efforts are needed to activate and enhance the roles of domestic accelerators. Additionally, it proposes that in order to maximize the effectiveness of acceleration programs, detailed components of these programs should be designed to elevate the participants' level of hope.
Many Korean migrants in Japan have established small businesses using their ethnic networks as they were discriminated and excluded from Japanese society and labour market. The aim of this study is to explore the changes in characteristics of Korean migrants' businesses by generation, focusing on the role of co-ethnic relationships including ethnic networks and resources on their businesses. This study analyzed Korean migrants' dependence of the ethnic resources to understand the relationship between the ethnic. When Koreans first moved to Japan, laborers amounted the most, but the number of the professionals and the small business owners has increased gradually. This change was influenced by the change of generation and the improvement of education, as well as recognition of Japanese society and the change of policies toward Korean migrants in Japan. In early times when the number of small business owners started to increase, many cases such as a business, an employment, the use of Korean banks used to depend on ethnic resources. Also there were many businesses of which main customers were Koreans. However, the dependence of the ethnic resources has become diverse as the structure of the occupation has changed. The maintenance or exclusion of co-ethnic relationship depends on the structure of society and economy, and its result affect the relationship between Korean migrants in Japan and Japanese.
Recently, the expert call center solution has become the center of interest, since finance and tele-marketing system, which is focused on a communication industry, have been increasing, Specially, the call center market is growing up with a supporting Caller-ID for a cellular phone in Korea, In the present, although large size companies are developing expensive solutions and instruments to service only for the big companies, there little solutions for SOHO markets, Therefore, in this paper we have shown a design and an implementation of a CTI system which is capable of in/outbound call processing by using CTI, and providing stable services by linking the customer's DB. And these functionalities have become possible by integrating functions of PBX and the computer control of the PBX. First, we have constructed call flows and analyzed packets for the standard communication through the PBX in call. Then, we have designed and implemented a middleware which linked a call between a client and a customer. Finally, we have constructed a database module for applying the CRM technology to the management of customer's contents.
