  • In this study, the effects of grouping by students' collectivism in cooperative learning strategy applied to middle school science classes on their academic achievement, science learning motivation, and perceptions of science learning environment were investigated. Students' perceptions of cooperative learning were also studied through survey and interview. The students were assigned to the control, heterogeneous, and homogeneous groups, and taught for 12 class hours. The analyses of results revealed that interactive effects between the instruction and the level of collectivism were found in the test scores of achievement, science learning motivation, and relevance, and that there were main effects in the test scores of confidence, perceptions of science learning environment, affiliation, and rule clarity. The achievement test scores of the students with low collectivism in the homogeneous group were significantly higher than those in the heterogeneous group. The test scores on science learning motivation and relevance of the students with high collectivism in the homogeneous and heterogeneous groups were significantly higher than those in the control group. In addition, the test scores of confidence and affiliation in the treatment groups were significantly higher than those in the control group. The test scores on perceptions of science learning environment and rule clarity in the homogeneous groups were significantly higher than those in the control group. There were also differences in the perceptions of science cooperative learning by students' collectivism.

  • The objective of this study is to examine the re cent trend of the interpretation of the Principle of the Provenance in today s new environment of Archives Management and to identify the effective way of the application of the Principle of Provenance to Archives Management. Because of the continued change and the flexibility of the administrative organization and the development of information network, the traditional concept of the Principle of Provenance which put emphasis on a single creator and the physical entity of the archives has been gradually modified to a rather conceptual, abstract and realistic one. A method to apply the recent concept of the Principle of Provenance is to separate the descriptions of the record entity, the creators and the context and use the organic linkage of the separated description areas. Also we can control the provenance from the current stage or even from the pre-current stage by utilizing the classification scheme and the retention schedule. In case of the electronic records, we can manage the provenance and the context by using metadata inherent in the computerized information system. Above all it is critical that we need to structure and control the provenance by building the Korean rules for archival description corresponding to the international standards. And it is another an essential point that we have to develop a guideline for constructing the fond and maintaining its consistency.

  • Present study was investigated to measure the influence of expectancy on emotional information processing. For inducing an expectancy for emotional stimulus, participants conducted three same blocks in which negative face was presented for prime in 75% of total trials(Group1) or three same blocks in which positive face was presented in 75% of total trials(Group2). We compared the means of RTs of two blocks conducted after and before these induction blocks. Results exhibited that participants in Group 1 allocated more attention after expectancy induction. This indicate that in normal population, the top-down processing like expectancy can influence emotional processing pattern related to negative information.

  • Besides the imposition of taxes and mandatory actions, why in a special rules needed in the contract between state and civilians. The contract between the state and civilian are unlike with civilian's contract in the comparable effect, even if the effect of the agreement and the parties bear the structural nature of the self-other agreement between private economic actors and there are a variety of different specificity. In other words, the agents of the contract with the state government for control of opportunistic behavior are very specific rules exist. Through this, even if it is the relationship between state and non-mandatory private realms of the contract, even if the area forced me to the fact that the difference can be confirmed. Representative of the government of the country to understand the delegate decisions and judgments and other opportunistic behavior always seem to exist on the possibility of such devices for the pre-control needed.

  • The purpose of this study was to know the effects of flow in line dance class on happiness and continuous participation intention in elementary student. By using purposive sampling 271 questionnaires had been used for practical analysis. Collected data were put to frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS Win Ver. 22.0 program. The results of these analyses were as follows. First, the autotelic experience, the concentration, the sense of control and the sense of achievement which are the subordinate variables of the flow, were all found to have significant effects on the confidence, the autotelic experience, the sense of control and the sense of achievement which are the subordinate variables of the flow, were found to have significant effects on the self-realization, the autotelic experience, the concentration, and the sense of achievement which are the subordinate variables of the flow, were found to have significant effects on the enjoyment. Second, the autotelic experience, the concentration, and the sense of achievement which are the subordinate variables of the flow, were found to have significant effects on the continuous participation intention. • In this study, the effects of STAD cooperative learning strategy on students' achievement, learning motivation, perceptions of learning environment, and perceived classroom goal structure were investigated in terms of students' collectivism level. Two classes (64 students) from an elementary school were respectively assigned to a control group and a treatment group. A individualism-collectivism test, a learning motivation test, a perceptions of learning environment test, and a perceived classroom goal structure test were administered as pretests. The intervention of cooperative learning lasted for 24 class periods. After instruction, an achievement test, the learning motivation test, the perceptions of learning environment test, and the perceived classroom goal structure test were administered. The results indicated that the students of the treatment group significantly outperformed those of the control group in the achievement test. There was a significant treatment-aptitude interaction effect in the scores of the attention subcategory of the learning motivation. In the perceptions of learning environment, the score of the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group in the cohesiveness subcategory, whereas the score of the treatment group was significantly lower than their counterpart in the competitiveness subcategory. It was also found that the score of the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group in the performance subcategory of the perceived classroom goal structure.

  • This study investigated the influences of role-playing analogy upon students' scientific conceptual understandings, application abilities, retentions of conception and application, and learning motivation. Four classes of 7th grade at a middle school in Seoul were assigned to control and treatment groups, and taught about 'motion of molecules' for 4 class hours. For the Treatment group, role-playing analogy instruction was used. The traditional instruction was used for the control group. Data analysis indicated that the scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group in the tests on the conception, the retention of application, and the confidence. In the tests of the application, attention, and relevance, there were significant interactions between instruction and student' gender. Both female and male students in the treatment group scored significantly higher than those in the control group in the application test. In the case of attention and relevance tests, male students in the treatment group scored significantly higher than those in the control group. Educational implications are discussed.

  • Technology innovation of digital convergence in recent years of the media sector has produced a series of significant changes in journalist labor. This study analyzes how recent introduction of convergent newsroom changed the nature of journalist labor and what strategy the management used to control journalists within the technologically innovated working condition with case of CBS. As the labor process theory tells us, the analysis found that technological innovation in the newsroom has encouraged a couple of aspects regarding labor process. First, losing control over their own labor journalists have undergone the process of significant deskilling. Second, the management have made a constant effort to introduce ideological and political apparatuses with twofold purposes, effective control over workers on one hand and concealing oppressive labor conditions on the other. The effort generated journalists' acceptance of new news-making routine and their consent on labor-management culture founded upon naive familism, which at last resulted in reinforcement of corporate power and isolation of labor society by separating internal labor market.
