Effect of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Foodservice Industryfor (변혁적 리더십이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of transformational leadership on organizational citizenship behavior in foodservice industry. Prepared questionnaires were distributed to 300 sample employees working in foodservice industry. Among 300 questionnaires, 279 respondence were collected. The results of this study are as follows. First, endeavor inspiration and charisma of transformational leadership has positive effects on the altruistic action of organizational citizenship behavior. Secondly, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration of transformational leadership has negative effects on the altruistic action of organizational citizenship behavior. Third, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration of transformational leadership has not effects on the conformist action of organizational citizenship behavior. But endeavor inspiration and charisma has positive effects on the conformist action.

Mediating effect of burnout between work-family conflict and organizational citizenship behavior and the moderating effect of Proactive Personality (일-가정 갈등과 조직시민행동간 직무소진의 매개효과와 주도적 성격의 조절효과)

  • The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the work-family conflict on the organizational citizenship behavior, to examine the mediating effect of burnout in that relation and to verify the moderating effect of proactive personality between burnout by work-family conflict and organizational citizenship behavior. For study samples, total 331 copies were collected from the members of hospitals and call centers in Daejeon, Sejong and Chungcheongnam-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. The results are as follows: firstly, it was found that, Work Interference with Family(WIF) had negative (-) effect on the organizational citizenship behavior. And, Family Interference with Work(FIW) had negative (-) effect on the organizational citizenship behavior. Secondly, there was a mediating effect of burnout between Work Interference with Family(WIF) and organizational citizenship behavior. And, there was no mediating effect of burnout between Family Interference with Work(FIW) and organizational citizenship behavior. Thirdly, proactive personality had a moderating effect between burnout due to work-family conflict and the organizational citizenship behavior. It proved that the relation between burnout due to work-family conflict and the organizational citizenship behavior through proactive personality of members concerning the negative effect of burnout caused by the work-family conflict at the workplace can be reduced by the proactive personality. It is significant in that this study proved the necessity of proactive personality of members in the work-family conflict. Therefore, more diverse personal characteristics should be considered as control variables in the future.

The Mediating Effects of Job Satisfaction on the Relationship between Organization Culture and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Social Welfare Organizations (사회복지기관의 조직문화와 조직시민행동의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • This study examined the mediating effects of job satisfaction on the relationship between organizational culture and organizational citizenship behavior in social welfare organizations. For the research, organizational culture was measured by Kimberly & Quinn's competing value model. This study analyzed 260 social workers by survey. The multiple regression model proposed by Baron & Kenny and sobel test were used. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Descriptive statistics showed that social workers perceived the level of organizational culture, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior had a higher than medium. By using a regression, organizational culture and job satisfaction have a positive effects on the organizational citizenship behavior. Especially, there is a mediating effect of job satisfaction in association with organizational culture and organizational citizenship behavior. This study finally discussed theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for organizational culture and job satisfaction strategies on the results.

The Effects of Ethical Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and the Mediating Effects of Workplace Spirituality in the Social Enterprises (사회적기업에서 윤리적 리더십이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향과 일터영성의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study recognizes the limitation of previous literature regarding ethical leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and workplace spirituality and develops the research model and hypothetical relationships. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of ethical leadership on organizational citizenship and workplace spirituality and test the mediation effect of workplace spirituality on the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. The suggested hypothetical relationships were tested with primary data from a sample 367 employees of social enterprises. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, it is found that transparency, contribution, integrity and which are composed factors of ethical leadership have positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior. Second, transparency, contribution, integrity and which are composed factors of ethical leadership have positive influence on workplace spirituality. Third, workplace spirituality have positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior. Fourth, workplace spirituality mediated the relationship of ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, the hypothesis on the mediating role of workplace spirituality was supported. This study contributes to the understanding of organizational citizenship behavior research by developing an theoretical model, incorporating the role of ethical leadership and workplace spirituality. In conclusion, this study suggests that in the organization developing organizational citizenship behavior, ethical leadership of leader and improving workplace spirituality of employees need to be considered to adopt.

  • To lead the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of organizational member's, It needs to change the psychological attitude of organizations through perception of organizational members who recognize the organization's support in the convergence age. Therefore, this study establishes the Perceived Organizational Support as an independent variable, and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior as an dependent variable. Also, we want to analyze the effects of psychological impowerment and organizational engagement, explaining the psychological conversion process of individuals. The result is following ; First, Perceived Organizational Support has significant effects of Organizational Commitment and Psychological Empowerment. Second, Organizational Commitment and Psychological Empowerment have shown significant implications for Organized Citizenship Behavior. In addition, Organizational Commitment and Psychological Empowerment have been shown to be partial mediation effect between Perceived Organizational Support and Organized Citizenship Behavior. These findings reveal the specific process of Organized Citizenship Behavior. It is expected to contribute to various measures that can cause to the extra-role behavior of the organizational member's.

Verification for Structural Modeling between Servant and Transformational Leadership, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and Organizational Performance of Private Security Organizations (민간경비 조직의 서번트・변혁적 리더십, 조직시민행동, 조직성과 간의 구조모형 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural model between servant - transformational leadership, organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance of private security organizations. The security guards working in private security companies in Seoul and Gyeonggi - do were selected as population, random sampling method. The survey was conducted from September 1, 2016 to November 30. Accoridng to the purpose of the study, this study conducted factor analysis(EFA/CFA), reliability analysis, convergence and discriminant validity analysis, and covariance structure analysis using SPSSWIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, servant leadership has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.406$) on organizational citizenship behavior statistically at .001 level. Second, transformational leadership has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.373$) on organizational citizenship behavior statistically at .001 level. Third, organizational citizenship behavior has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.615$) on organizational performance statistically at .01 level. Fourth, servant leadership does not affect the organizational performance statistically (${\beta}=.211$). Fifth, transformational leadership does not affect the organizational performance statistically (${\beta}=.058$). Sixth, organizational citizenship behavior has statistically positive (+) mediation effect (${\beta}=.249$) in the relationship between servant leadership and organizational performance. Seventh, organizational citizenship behavior has statistically positive (+) mediating effects (${\beta}=.230$) on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational performance. Antecedents of Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Mediating Role of Leader-member Exchange (조직시민행동의 선행요인에 관한 연구: LMX의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The main purpose of this study was to find antecedents of organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and to investigate the mediating role of leader-member exchange(LMX). This study categorized the factors that influence OCB and LMX into individual(distributive and procedural justice), group(transformational leadership and team empowerment), and organizational levels(complexity). A total of 773 cases were used in this study, which were collected in one of industrial complexes. The research participants were any employees who participated in their work by collaborating with their co-workers. This study found that procedural justice, transformational leadership, and team empowerment had positive influences on OCB, and distributive justice, procedural justice, transformational leadership, team empowerment, and complexity significantly influenced LMX. Moreover, LMX played a mediating role in the relationship between each of the five input variables and OCB.

  • Companies with ethical management can be said to influence the performance of an organization based on the ethical judgment of its members. In this study, ethical judgment was set up as the subject of the ethical judgment, and the ethical judgment was set up by bosses and colleagues who are members of the business and organization as the factors of ethical judgment. The research was designed to examine the impact of ethical judgment on job satisfaction and organizational civic behavior, the impact of ethical judgment on organizational trust, and analyzed the medium effect of organizational trust in the relationship between ethical judgment and job satisfaction and organized civic action. The target of this study was to survey 450 workers in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and South Chungnam Province from October 7, 2019 to November 2, using them as empirical data. The SPS 24.0 Statistical Analysis Program was used for the analysis of data. The study confirmed that ethical judgment was affecting task satisfaction, organizational civic behavior, and organizational trust, and that parameters such as organizational trust affected task satisfaction and organizational civic behavior depending on how individuals perceive the organization. Ethical judgment has a high impact on organized citizen behavior and job satisfaction, and ethical management of how to improve ethical judgment is absolutely necessary to enhance organizational citizen behavior and job satisfaction, and it is necessary to develop and implement various programs that enable a sense of unity with the organization.

A Study on Mediating Effects of Wedding Industry Employees Equity Perception in the Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (웨딩산업에 종사하는 리더의 변혁적 리더십과 조직시민행동의 관계에서 공정성 지각의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study is to examine the effect of transformational leadership of the leader in the wedding industry on the behavior of employees, and also to examine the equity perception of employees on their behavior. As a result of analysis, when the relation between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior was examined, transformational leadership had not effect on behavior of employees. Thus, hypothesis 1 was rejected. As transformational leadership had significant effect on equity perception, hypothesis 2 was adopted. When the relation between equity perception and organizational citizenship behavior was analyzed, equity perception had significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, hypothesis 3 was adopted. When the mediating effect of equity perception in the process of the effect of transformational leadership on organizational citizenship behavior as hypothesis 4 was examined, equity perception had partial mediating effects. Thus, hypothesis 4 was partially adopted. Accordingly, the leader in the wedding industry needs to demonstrate transformational leadership in order to promote organizational citizenship behavior of employees and also makes employees to feel impartial treatment and procedural impartiality. Further studies on practical measures of this issue are recommended.

The Effects of Employees' Emotional Intelligence upon Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Job Performance in the Foodservice Industry (외식업체 직원의 감성지능이 조직시민행동과 직무성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study is to understand the influence of the employees' emotional intelligence in the foodservice industry on organizational citizenship behavior and job performance and to empirically analyze whether organizational citizenship behavior plays a mediating role between both the relations of the employees' emotional intelligence and job performance. Based on total 421 samples obtained from an empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model and verifies a total of 3 hypotheses using the Amos program. The SEM results show that others' emotion appraisal, emotion use, self-emotion appraisal and emotion regulation among employees' emotional intelligence have a significantly positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Also, employees' organizational citizenship behavior have a significantly positive effect on job performance. In addition, the effect of the employees' emotional intelligence in the foodservice industry upon job performance find to be partially mediated by the organizational citizenship behavior.
