  • This study was to confirm the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment of general hospital nurses and the mediating effect of affect. Data was collected using a structured online self-report questionnaire on emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, and both negative and positive affect from 236 nurses working in general hospitals. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a parallel multiple mediation model. This analysis was conducted with IBM SPSS Statistics (Version 27.0) and the PROCESS macro (Model 4). This study's findings revealed that emotional intelligence was significant correlated with positive affect, negative affect, and organizational commitment. Emotional intelligence had a significant direct effect on positive affect (β=.16, p=.015), negative affect (β=-.28, p<.001), and organizational commitment (β=.33, p<.001). Positive affect (β=.20, p=.001) and negative affect (β=-.25, p<.001), had a significant direct effect on organizational commitment. And the mediating effect of positive affect (β=.03, 95% bootstrap CI=0.01~0.07) and negative affect (β=.07, 95% bootstrap CI=0.03~0.12) was also significant. Based on these research results, it will be necessary to research various training programs that can manage emotional intelligence and affect together in developing programs to improve nurses' organizational commitment.

  • The necessity for introducing artificial intelligence(AI) into the public sector to form an intelligent government has been emerging. This study set 'Organizational Agility', 'Exploitation & Exploration Learning', and 'E-government Capability' as independent variables for the introduction of AI in central government. Dependent variables were set on whether AI was adopted in the central government organization 'Bu(mainly conducts policy planning)', and 'Cheong(mainly performs policy execution)'. Logistic regression analysis was performed on each of the two models. As a result, it was derived that ministry Bu adopted AI as organizational agility increased, and ministry Chung adopted AI as e-government capability increased. Particularly, it was identified that the effect of exploitation learning for Cheong organizations offset the influence of AI introduction according to e-government capabilities, while exploratory organizational learning facilitated the AI introduction. This study is meaningful for suggesting a strategy for adopting AI in government.

During the survey period from From May 1st to May 31st, 2019, anonymous self-administered responses to 212 administrative staffs of 19 hospitals randomly selected in J area were used as analysis data. According to hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the higher the ego-resiliency, the higher the organizational loyalty, and the higher the organizational commitment, the higher the emotional intelligence, and their explanatory power was 43.0%. Based on these analysis results, efforts are needed to increase ego-resiliency, increase organizational loyalty, and increase organizational commitment in order to increase the emotional intelligence of hospital administrative jobs. The above results are expected to be applied to industrial health education and job management in the future at hospitals to enhance emotional intelligence of hospital administrative staffs. • Most research in artificial intelligence (AI) has focused on the development of new algorithms. But as artificial intelligence has been spreading over many applications and gaining more attention from managers in the organization, academia has begun to understand the necessity of developing new artificial intelligence theories related to AI management. We reviewed recent studies in the field from 2015, and further analysis has been done for 785 studies chosen based on citation numbers of over 20. The results show that most studies have still been in the prototyping application phase of artificial intelligence across different industries. We conclude our study by calling for more research in the application of artificial intelligence in terms of organizational structures and project and risk management.

  • This study introduced trust dimension as a mediating variable and analyzed in order to investigate the empirical mechanism on the process of leader's emotional intelligence which is a emotional factor to produce organizational effectiveness. Based on the empirical analysis, first of all, this study found whether the team leader's emotional intelligence gives an influence on the subordinate's trust in leader. Secondly, this study examined the multidimensionality of trust by selecting subordinate's cognition-based trust and affect-based trust on the team leader as mediating variables between team leaders's emotional intelligence and subordinate's affective commitment, organizational citizenship behavior. I found the theoretical implications based on this study; first, from the view on cognition-based and emotion-based trust, the integrated verification of the process of the trust in leader as a mediating role, second, verification of the relationship between leader's emotional intelligence and trust in leader which was not studied before, third, the methodological try to prevent from the common method bias problem through the evaluation of a team leader on a subordinate's organizational citizenship behavior. This study also suggested the ways to apply those theoretical implications to human resource management.
