  • According to the using of electric power source such as solar cell, fuel cell and wind energy, consumer is supplied from distributed generator and electric power company. Therefore, it is required that the real-time measurement and control instrument for those distributed generator. In this paper, describes the development of measuring equipment for the power system with distributed generator. The equipment has real-time measure function and communication with PC via USB port, which is used for various purposes such as investigation of transient state, and is compared with measurement instrument to verify the reliability.

  • Cheju-Haenam HVDC link transmits electrical power up to 300[MW] Because of its size, HVDC system has a great potential for damping power system oscillations. This paper with the frequency control of the KEPCO HVDC system linking Haenam to Cheju island. Frequency control at Cheju island ensures that the island AC system frequency is maintained Performance are evaluated using a reduced Cheju network and a detailed model of the fm system modelled in the PST software. Transient oscillations for the 3 phase fault carried out with HVDC frequency control are well damped as the control parameters have been adjusted.

  • The solar photovoltaic Power generator can get more power with the higher solar radiation quantity. However, if the higher solar radiation quantity on cell becomes high temperature, the efficiency of generate will be reduced. To install cooling system for this kind of device can be the way to solve high temperature problem on cell but another problems after install it such as increasing of solar generated quantity problem, cost to install cooling system and cost to be maintained cooling system weren't discussed to practical use this system. So the present paper described about effect and commercial business possibility of cooling system.

  • Considerable part of energy consumption is occurred by through buildings. Especially, Lighting energy consumption is most part of one in building. There is very various ways and systems for saving lighting energy. In method, It can be divided Passive Daylighting System and Active Daylighting System. Louver, Screen and use of window's character is representative ways of passive system. Reflection mirror, optical pipe and optical fiber is representative method of active system. Introducing day light on which place can't be introduced day light by typical method is important advantage of active system. Except introducing day lighting methods, efficient lighting management system can save lighting energy. It called lighting automation system. Representatively, Occupancy-related automation and Brightness-related automation system is that. According to occupancy and introducing daylighting level properly operate lamp's intensity of illumination that can save lots of energy. Though Introducing daylighting method, effective lighting system we can get proper intensity of illuminance level and energy saving.

  • The attenuation property of active noise control system is much dependent on the locations of transducers. It is very difficult to retermine the orfunal locations of transducers analytically, because the acoustic behaviors in active noise control systems are very complex and the acoustic parameters, fluid density, corqJlex propagation, coefficients, etc., are usually unknown. In this paper, effects of positions of transducers and of distances between transducers on attenuation properties of active noise control systems is investigated via computer simulations. Tbe transfer functions between the transducers are derived using the superposition principle for computer simulations. Computer simulations show that the acoustic monopole and dipole systems for duct noise attenuation are sensitive to variations of the transducer location.

  • In this paper, the real time characteristics analyzing system is proposed to analyze characteristics of inverter. The system is consisted of DSP unit and personal computer. Conventionally, power conversion system is designed by the load and the use. And control characteristics for the designed power conversion system is evaluated by the control input. In order to study of control methods, power conversion system is required for a study of control methods and observed system is required for a analyzing of the inverter. Inverter system is consisted to evaluate for proposed real time characteristics analyzing system. And induction motor is driven by control input that is manufactured by personal computer. Output of inverter and control characteristics is variously analyzed.

  • This paper proposes an ultrasonic sensor based intelligent automatic door system which improves the performance of conventional door systems by adding more intelligent functions such that it offers more convenience to passersby and reduces power loss. The conventional automatic door systems employed passive and active infrared sensors for detecting objects and human bodies. But, they have problems such as power loss in door closing, not sensing fast approaching objects, and safety. The proposed automatic door system with ultrasonic sensors prevents unnecessary door closings to save the power and senses fast approaching objects to open the door at proper time, and improves safety. Thus, the proposed system improves the performance of the conventional systems in terms of operation, economy, and safety.

  • The quantity of light available for a space can be translated in term of the amount of energy savings through a process of a building energy simulation. To get significant energy savings in general illumination, the electric lighting system must be incorporated with a daylight - activated dimmer control. A prototype configuration of an once interior has been established and the integration between the building envelope and lighting and HVAC systems is evaluated based on computer modeling of a lighting control facility. First of all, an energy-efficient luminaire system is designed and the lighting analysis program, Lumen-Micro 2000 predicts the optimal layout of a conventional fluorescent lighting future to meet the designed lighting level and calculates unit power density, which translates the demanded met of electric lighting energy. A dimming control system integrated with the contribution of daylighting has been applied to the operating of the artificial lighting. Annual cooling load due to lighting and the projecting saving amount of cooling load due to daylighting under overcast diffuse sky m evaluated by computer software ENER-Win. In brief, the results from building energy simulation with measured daylight illumination levels and the performance of lighting control system indicate that daylighting can save over 70 percent of the required energy for general illumination in the perimeter zones through the year A 25[%] of electric energy for cooling and almost all off heating energy may be saved by dimming and turning off the luminaires in the perimeter zones.
