A study on Development of 300m Class Underwater ROV (300m급 수중ROV 개발에 관한 연구)

  • A 300 meter class ROV(CROV300) is composed of three parts : a surface unit, a tether cable and an underwater vehicle. The vehicle controller is based on two processors : an Intel 8097-16-bit one chip micro-processor and a Texas Instruments TMS320E25 digital signal processor. In this paper, the surface controller, the vehicle controller and peripheral devices interfaced with the processors are described. These controllers transmit/receive measured status data and control commands through RS422 serial communication. Depth, heading, trimming, camera tilting, and leakage signals are acquired through the embedded AD converters of the 8097. On the other hand, altitude of ROV and lbstacle avoidance signals are processed by the DSP processor and periodically fetched by the 8097. The processor is interfaced with a 4-channel 12-bit D/A converter to generate control signals for DC motors an dseveral transistors to handle the relays for on/off switching of external devices.

  • This paper presents the basic quench protection idea for the HTS(High-Temperature Superconducting) cable. In Korea power system, the transfer capability of transmission line is limited by the voltage stability, and HTS cable could be one of the countermeasure to solve the transfer limit as its higher current capacity and lower impedance[1]. However, the quench characteristic of HTS cable makes HTS cable to loss its superconductivity, and therefore change the impedance of the line and power system operating condition dramatically. This pheonominum threats not only HTS cable safety but also power system security, therefore a proper protection scheme and security control counterplan have to be established before HTS cable implementation. In this paper, the quench characteristics of HTS cable for the fault current based on heat balance equation was established and a proper protection method by FCL(Fault Current Limiter) was suggested.

  • 전기철도에서의 급전시스템은 레일을 귀선으로 사용하는 단상급전시스템을 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 레일로부터 대지로의 누설에 의해 상당한 누설전류가 대지로 흐르게 된다. 대지로 흐르는 이 누설전류는 전자유도에 의해 선로 주변에 설치된 통신 케이블 또는 장치에 영향을 주게 된다. 더욱이 전기차의 견인시스템은 견인전동기를 제어하는데 있어서 스위칭 소자의 개폐에 의한 고조파 전류를 발생하고 있어 대지누설전류에 고조파 전류가 포함되어 흐른다. 본 연구에서는 전기철도 급전시스템에서 통신유도원인 대지누설전류에 따른 고려되어야 할 급전시스템 설계 파라미터를 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였으며, 이 결과가 향후 급전시스템 설계시 기본적인 지침이 되어야 할 것이다.

  • In this paper, the efficacy of the MR damper-based control systems for vibration suppression of stay cables has been experimentally investigated. The performance of the several control strategies for the semiactive control system, such as the clipped-optimal control, the Lyapunov stability theory-based control, the maximum energy dissipation and the modulated homogeneous friction, has been compared with that of the passive-type control systems employing MR dampers. To do this, the full-scale stay cable, which is the same as used for the in-service cable-stayed bridge in Korea, is considered. The acceleration and the displacement of the stay cable as well as the damping force of the MR damper are measured. The velocity of the cable at the damper location, which is needed for some control algorithms, is obtained by differentiating the measured displacement. The damping ratios of the cable system employing the MR damper, which can be estimated by the Hilbert transform-based method, shows effectiveness of each control strategy considered.

  • The recent large-spatial structures are frequently made from light-weight structural system and it has a good mechanical efficiency and uses new materials. The large space is made by light-weight structural system using tension members mainly, and generally it is called a soft structure. The cable dome structures which are a soft structures are very flexible, the stresses and nodal coordinates of other members are changed when we control the stress of one member. Therefore, we have to do two kind of works for effective and accurate construction of the cable dome structures. The first work is making a working scenario to complete the final objective form and the second is revising constructional errors occurred in process of the actual works. These works are called constructional analysis. At this time, we have to consider geometric nonlinearity to reflect the sensitivity by the initial stresses of cable dome structures, and constructional analysis comes down to a nonlinear problem after all. In this study, we try to approach the constructional analysis of the cable dome structures using the numerical method, and then verify it.

  • 기존 케이블 puller 방식의 EPB 시스템은 제동력을 측정하기 위하여 hall effect force 센서를 이용하고 있다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 hall effect force 센서를 사용하는 대신 모터의 속도를 이용하여 제동력이 가해지는 시점을 결정한 이후 모터의 회전수에 따른 제동력 추정 기법을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 검증한다.

  • 홈네트워크(Home Network)는 일반 가정의 PC 및 주변기기, 정보기기, 디지털 가전제품 등을 단일 프로토콜로 제어해 가정내 디지털 기기간에 정보전달과 정보공유를 자유롭게 한다는 개념이다. 최근 정보통신 서비스가 대용량 고속화 및 멀티미디어화되고 일반 주거 지역으로의 유입 및 네트워크 설비 구축이 활성화되면서 기존의 전화망에 의한 단순 음성통신 또는 데이터 통신 환경과는 다른시설 패러다임이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 먼저 홈네트워크를 구성하기 위한 유무선 기술에 대하여 조사 분석, 홈네트워크 선로설비 구성시 요구되는 기자재중 케이블에 대하여 조사하였으며 이를 바탕으로 홈네트워크를 구축하기 위한 댁내배선 설계에 대하여 작성하였다.

  • UPS 부하시험시 또는 DC 전압원 방전 시험시에 사용되는 일반 저항 또는 역률 부하 시험기를 사용하지 않고 UPS 내부 역변환부 출력전원을 출력 스위치와 바이패스 스위치를 통해서 순변환부 입력전원에 재공급함으로써 시험용 저항부하기 또는 역률 부하 시험기와 같이 모든 에너지를 열로 소비하지 않고 순변환부 측으로 재 순환시켜서 UPS 부하시험 시 입력 전원용량이 UPS 최소 내부 손실분만으로도 이미 현장 설치 및 운영 중인 UPS에서도 별도의 부하 시험기 및 시험용 케이블을 이동, 설치하지 않고 주기적인 UPS 점검 시, 적용 가능한 에너지 절감형 부하시험기법에 관해 연구하였다.

  • In the steel industry, a steel melting electric arc furnace is used to produce both carbon and alloy steels. Steel scrap which is charged into the furnace is heated by means of electric arc between graphite electrodes and the scrap. In this melting process, current is supplied to the furnace through HCC(high current cable) which connect the furnace and transformer. Four HCCs are assigned to each phase in our system to divide the current. Since a sudden cable breaking result in the shutdown of melting process, an aging detection of HCC is very important for both an improvement of productivity and cost reduction. In this paper, the aging of the HCC is estimated by using the current ratio between four HCCs.
