  • Aesthetic Movement is an artistic movement which intended to bring up the quality by implanting beauty in everyday life. Aesthetic movement made the beauty itself come alive within each person and thus made it possible to improve the quality of life. Aesthetic Movement emphasized the total artistic concept and this brought new wave to the textile design movement. This paper is the study on the Aesthetisism and the effect that had on the textile design. This study draws the conclusion that there are four areas the textile designs of that era was influcenced by : Firstly , through the influence of the Japanese art, the textile designs came to have 2 dimensional quality. Secondly, through the influence of the pre Raphaelite, colors in the textile designs changed to have pale tones. Thirdly, with the influence of William Morris, the creativity in textile design came to be alive. Forthly, to better the quality of life and design, the cooperative spirits of Arthur Liberty, Morris, Godwin, Lewis Days and other designers, architects including artists contributed a great deal to make the English textile designs to be creative contemproary art works.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of upper cervical stabilization exercise on Temporomandibular Disorder(TMD) and pressure pain threshold. 36 subjects were divided into two groups: upper cervical stabilization exercise group(UCSEG) and control on three times a week for a total of four weeks. The upper cervical stabilization group showed more significant effect than the control group (p <.01, 95% CI: 8.074, 16.899). (p <.01, 95% CI: .826, 3.243). In the change of pressure pain threshold, the upper cervical stabilization group showed significant improvement in both the masticatory muscle(p <.01, 95% CI: .251, 1.382) and masticatory muscle(p <.01, 95% CI: .462, 1.826).The results of this study showed that the upper cervical stabilization exercise was effective that TMD. It will be able to provide more effective interventions for patients suffering from TMD, and to suggest new approaches for TMD patients.

• The present study explored how 1) individuals' perception about attributes of exercise/fitness apps and 2) their motivation for exercise/fitness behaviors influence perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. A survey of 323 males and females in their 20's and 30's revealed that attributes of apps that satisfy their basic psychological needs are crucial in promoting perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. Participants were more likely to perceive exercise/fitness apps useful as they perceive them having more attributes related to autonomy and competence. The perception regarding relatedness attributes did not have the main effect on perceived usefulness but showed an interaction effect with relative autonomous motivation. This convergence study which examined health apps from the perspectives of psychology and public health provides practical implications to development and evaluation of health apps.

  • Chemotaxis is the movement of an organism toward chemical attractant and away from chemical repellents. Several bacteria are known to cometabolically degrade some pollutants and attracted to the pollutants. The chemotactic responses to these compounds influence the efficiency of bioremediation because the first precondition of pollutant degradation is definitely confrontation between microorganisms and pollutants. In this review, we summarize present knowledge of about the chemotactic mechanism to environmental pollutants of Pseudomonas species.

  • Cocrystallization of active pharmaceutical ingredients has been widely recognized as a versatile tool to regulate the physical properties of pharmaceutical compounds through designed crystal structures. Grinding or milling has been especially useful to screen the feasibility of cocrystal formation, and the addition of a small amount of liquid is routinely necessary. In the present study, the effect of temperature was studied for the milling cocrystallization of ibuprofen and nicotinamide to establish a liquid-free method. The milling-induced cocrystallization was more effective with liquid nitrogen cooling than at room temperature, which was confirmed by XRD and DSC analyses. This behavior was attributed to the limited molecular mobility below the glass transition temperatures of the cocrystal components, which made it effective to destruct the crystals of raw materials and consequently form the ibuprofen/nicotinamide cocrystal. Further studies would be necessary to establish the utility of the current conclusion to the field of pharmaceutical crystallization.

  • This research focuses on the relationship between participation characteristics on exercise needs of swimming participants. To this end, our research efforts questioned adult swimmers with increasing partner, time, determined factor of participation evinced higher levels of exercise needs. The research targeted the current(2006) membership of an aquatic facility operating in the Busan Gwangyeok-Shi, both male and female were selected as 299 participants of the study. This research utilized a exercise needs survey developed by Byung Gi Lee's team(1989). The data was analyzed through Reliability, Frequency and the ANOVA method. The results of this study are as follows: First, Those who regularly swim with a partners and those who swim alone showed differences in their exhibitionist tendency levels. Second, Those who scheduled their swimming activities in the evenings showed more motivation to exercise than those who swim in the mornings or afternoons. Third, Determining factors in beginning an aquatic exercise routine were quality of facilities or instructors, and these participants showed a different level of desire to reduce stress and exhibitionist tendency levels.
