A Base Study on the Accuracy Analysis of GPS Kinematic Surveying of the Long-Baseline According to the Ephmeris (궤도력에 따른 장기선 GPS 이동측량의 정확도 분석에 관한 기초연구)

  • Kinematic GPS surveying which can obtain much 3D topographical information through short-time measurement is being utilized mainly in the short baseline less than a few kilometers. Because the decision of position for the long baseline depends on the static GPS surveying which needs long time measurement, the method for measuring the position of long baseline is needed. In this study, the accuracy of the baseline according to the baseline distance, ephemeris, and observation time by GPS surveying is analysed to confirm the application of kinematic GPS surveying for the long baseline. As the result of this, the acquisition of 3D topographical information by GPS surveying in a few minutes will be possible when PDOP is less than 4, and the fast precise ephemeris is used within 60 km. Also, the accuracy is similar to that of final precise ephemeris of IGS. If a lot of studies about the long baseline kinematic GPS surveying are processed, the acquisition of topographical information for various industry including land development will be obtained more efficiently.

  • Low resolution spectroscopic observations of leo-stationary satellites over the Korean peninsula have been carried out at the KyungHee Optical Satellite Observing Facility (KOSOF) with a 40cm telescope. We have observed 9 telecommunication satellites and 1 weather satellite of 6 countries. The obtained spectral data showed that satellites could be classified and grouped with similar basic spectral feature. We divided the 10 satellites into 4 groups based on spectral slop and reflectance. It is suggested that the material types of the satellites can be determined through spectral comparisons with the ground laboratory data. We will continuously observe additional geo-stationary satellites for the accurate classification of spectral features.

  • 보행자 사고는 총 교통사고의 32.9%(사망 5,070명, 부상 87,943명)을 차지하고 있으며, 그 중 횡단보도 사고는 13.0%(사망 542명, 부상 10,056명)로 대책이 시급하다. 교차로 내에서 횡단보도의 위치가 부적절하면, 보행자 안전과 차량 교통소통에 악영향을 준다. 또한 우리 나라에선 명확한 기준이 없어 횡단보도 노면표지 설치 및 유지 관리에 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 현재 교차로에서 횡단보도의 위치는 다음과 같이 3종류로 구분할 수 있다. 1) 차량 정지선이 횡단보도 전방에 설치되어 진행 차량이 횡단보도를 통과하여 대기할 수 있는 공간이 있는 경우, 2) 횡단보도가 측면차량 진행방향의 연석선상(가각선의 끝 지점)에 근접하여 설치된 경우, 3) 횡단보도가 측면 좌·우회전 차량1대가 대기할 수 있는 공간의 약 4∼5m 후방(가각선의 시작지점)에 설치된 경우로 구분할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차량소통 및 보행자/차량 상층에 분석하여 교차로 내 횡단보도 위치기준을 제시하는데 연구 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 통한 기대효과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다, 첫째 횡단보도 내 보행자 관련 교통사고를 예방할 수 있으며, 둘째 교차로에서 보행자 및 차량소통을 원활히 할 수 있고, 셋째 횡단보도 설치 및 관리를 효율적으로 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The median exclusive bus lanes with the purpose of improving public transport as part of a public transport promoting policy propel to improves the speed of the bus and guarantee punctuality security of public transportation for citizen satisfaction. In Median Exclusive bus lanes, Intersection operational methods are classified as turn prohibition, left turn, left turn U-Turn after turn prohibition. However, there are not clear criteria for applying for turn left U-Turn and related researches. The purpose of this study is to search a method for more safely operation when we operate turn left U-Turn in median exclusive bus lanes intersection. As a result, Bus stop in median exclusive bus lane should set back 12m for left turn, 17m for left turn U-turn during 60km/h and set back 13m for left turn, 17m for left turn U-turn during 50km/h.

  • COSMOS system which was developed in Seoul for real-time signal control was designed to judge traffic condition for practicing signal operation. However, it occurs efficiency problem that stop line detection and queue length detection could not judge overflow saturation of street. For that reason, following research process GPS data of Seoul city's corporationowned taxi to calculate travel speed that excluded existing system of stop line detection and queue length detection. Also, "Research of calculating queue length by GPS data" which was progressed with following research expressed queue length. It is based on establishing algorithm of judging congestion situation. The algorithm was applied to a few areas where appeared congestion situation consistently to confirm real time traffic condition with established network.   • The motivation of this study comes from the problem recognition that the headway of passing vehicle in signalized intersections can not be merely determined by departing sequence. Traffic speed and headway data of passing vehicles in signalized intersection have been obtained by using magnetic detectors(NC 97) and detecting program, and the data was analyzed. Without special treatment, the model established on passing behavior of vehicles was meaningless from statistical view point. Hence, special treatments such as filtering (upper 85% offensive driver driven vehicle's) and log scaling of data were carried on. With this new data, meaningful model (where coefficient of determination is 0.91) was established. This model explained the fact that vehicle headway in signalized intersection is affected by speed and headway of previous vehicle and speed of itself.

  • This paper focuses on the development of analytical models for estimating the changes in saturation flow rates (SFR) at the stop-lines of a signalized intersection due to the existence of nearby work-zones, and thereby calculating the prevailing capacity values for specific lane groups. Major changes were incorporated in the logics of previous models and significant revisions have been made to secure the accuracy and simplicity. Furthermore, much attention was paid to model validation by making comparisons to both extensive simulation results and empirical data from various sites. It was found that SFRs are highly sensitive to the location of work-zones, the distance to each work-zone from the stop-line of a concerned approach, the number of lanes open and closed, and the effective green time. Using such geometric and operating conditions that constitute work-zone environment, the proposed models successfully estimated SFR values with a miniscule margin of error.

  • A model ship equipped with the Weis-Fogh type ship's propulsion mechanism, which is consisted of one wing in a squared channel, was constructed. Sailing and vibration tests of the model ship were performed with the opening angles in a pool. The results are summarized as follows. The thrust and the speed of model ship were the highest for the spring-type wing of which the opening angle is automatically controlled in one stroke. Moreover, these values were approximately reduced by 4% from $30^{\circ}$ opening angle to $15^{\circ}$ in order. The maximum amplitude and RMS values of the model ship were the lowest for the wing having the opening angle of $30^{\circ}$, but were the largest for spring-type wing. And in case of the same opening angle, these values were lower for the ship on sailing than that on stationary.

  • Kinematic GPS surveying which can be obtained many three-dimensional topographical informations through a short-time measurement is being utilized mainly in the short base line of a few km and below The coordinate for the long base line depends on Static GPS surveying But it needs long time measurement. Therefore, the method which can decide a position of the long base line for a short time is being needed. To examine a possibility of an efficient use of kinematic GPS surveying of the long base line, this research has analysed an accuracy of the base line by static GPS surveying according to baseline distance, ephmeris, and observation time. As the results of research, I could see that accuracy was very low in case of the occurrence of cycle slip. When we use of precise ephmeris, we obtained 1ppm and less of accuracy with one-minute kinematic GPS surveying within 70km. If a lot of studies about the long baseline kinematic GPS surveying are processed, a topographical information necessary for each kind of construction field including land development could be utilized more efficiently.

  • 차세대 한국형 고속열차는 분산형 시스템으로 최고속도 400km/h, 운행속도 350km/h을 목표로 개발중에 있다. 차세대 고속열차의 신호시스템은 기존선의 자동열차정지(ATS, Automatic Train Stop) 및 자동열차방호(ATP, Automatic Train Protection)와 고속선의 자동열차제어(ATC, Automatic Train Control) 신호방식을 모두 사용하는 ATP+ATS+ATC 형태의 차상장치가 개발 설치될 예정이다. 따라서 이러한 장치의 개발과 연계하여 차세대 한국형 고속열차는 기존 경부고속선에서 시험주행을 할 예정이다. 따라서 기존 경부고속선에서 차세대 고속열차의 최고 속도시험를 위한 신호분야의 방안을 검토하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 3가지의 방안을 제시하여 적합성과 운영효율성을 고려하여 최적의 방안을 도출하는 방식으로 전개할 예정이다.
