Convergence and Substitutability: A Case Study of the United States and the United Kingdom (가족관계, 스마트폰의 중독적 사용 및 정서적 문제간의 인과관계 - 전국의 청소년을 대상으로 한 모형 검증 -)

  • This study verified theoretical model to explain adolescents' addictive use of smartphone. I used the data of 679 middle and high school students among 2013 internet addiction survey of National Information Society Agency(NIA). This study utilized structural equation modeling analysis to compare a suggestive model and alternative model. According to the final model, higher the satisfaction of family relationship, the addictive use of smartphone and emotional problems of adolescents were reduced. And, higher the addictive use of smartphone, higher the emotional problems of adolescents. Also, family relationship affects emotional problems via addictive use of smartphone. While, in the alternative model, path from amount of smartphone use to addictive use of smartphone was not significant. Results of this study suggest that family relationship variable may play an antecedent factor of addictive use of smartphone and emotional problems of adolescents and control of smartphone use is important to keeping a mental health of adolescents.

The Adolescents' Internet Addiction Tendencies According to their Human Resources (청소년의 인적 자원에 따른 인터넷 중독 경향성)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their human resources which is composed of personal resources and interpersonal resources. The subjects of this study were 396 middle school students in Daegu. Analysis of data were done with the use of frequency. percentage, meat factor analysis, and MANOVA with the Scheffe test applied. The main results of this study were as follows : First, there were meaningful differences in adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their personal resources such as self-control ability, Problem-solving ability, and time management ability. Second, there were meaningful differences in adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their interpersonal resources such as parents-support, peer-support, and teacher-support.

The Impact of Parenting Styles on Emotional Problems of Adolescents

  • The purpose of the present study was to test the relationship between perceived parenting styles and emotional problems among adolescents, and to obtain basic informations in terms of preventing and reducing the emotional problems. Based on literature review, a structural equation model to explain the causal relationships between democratic parenting and emotional problems, and between controlling parenting and emotional problems respectively. This study analyzed the 6th and 7th data from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey. The major results of the study are as follows. First, democratic parenting had a negative relationship with emotional problems. Second, controlling parenting had a positive relationship with emotional problems. Third, according to the gender and level of subjective health, there were significant differences in perceived parenting styles and emotional problems. Finally, in terms of improving parenting skills and reducing emotional problems, implications of the research findings and suggestions were discussed.

청소년의 초기부적응심리도식이 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향: 인지적 정서조절에 매개효과

  • 최근 코로나19가 발생한 2020년부터 청소년의 문제행동은 지능화, 다양화되고 범죄와 폭력의 비중은 높아지고 있다. 청소년의 절도, 사기, 장물, 횡령 등과 같은 초범의 재산 범죄가 44.8%(2015)에서 45.1%(검찰청, 2020), 언어 및 신체의 학교폭력 피해자가 45.2%(2015)에서 54.1%(교육부, 2021)로 나타나 청소년 문제행동에 대한 심각한 실정을 알 수 있다. 청소년기의 범죄와 폭력은 욕망을 충족하기 위한 수행과 목표 달성의 도구적 행위이며 고위험군의 외현화 문제행동이다(Cornish & Clarke, 2002). 외현화 본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 초기부적응심리도식이 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향과 인지적 정서조절 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 한다. 연구를 위해 경기도 소재 중·고등학교 학생 953명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS ver. 25.0과 Hayes(2013)가 개발한 Process Macro를 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다, 첫째, 초기부적응심리도식이 높을수록 외현화 문제행동이 높은 것으로 나타났다(F=41.871, p<.001). 둘째, 초기부적응심리도식과 외현화 문제행동의 관계에서 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과가 나타났다(F=111.594, p<.001). 따라서 본 연구는 청소년의 외현화 문제행동을 예방 및 감소, 초기 부적응심리도식의 완화를 위해 인지적 정서조절의 효과를 높일 수 있는 상담 및 교육프로그램에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

Participation in Activities, Emotions, and Problem Behaviors of Elderly with Dementia Residing in Nursing Homes (시설 거주 치매노인의 활동 참여, 정서, 문제행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the participation in activities, emotions, and problem behaviors of elderly people residing in nursing homes. In this observational study targeting 81 elderly patients with dementia, each patient's participation in activities, emotion, and problem behaviors were observed for 4 hours per day with 20 minutes interval, which leads to 6,804 data based on 12 times a day for 7 days. According to this study, 90.1% of the participants were suffering from severe cognitive impairment. Their emotions were scored 4 out of 7. They mainly participated in activities such as sitting or lying down, which had no specific purpose, but they showed the most positive emotion when involved in social activities. The most frequent types of problem behaviors were repetitive behaviors and making noises, and the frequency of their behaviors were different depending on the time. There were significant correlation between cognitive functions, emotions, and problematic behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to find effective ways to increase participation in activities, induce participation in positive emotional activities, and reduce problem behaviors manifested most prominently each hour of the elderly patients with dementia residing in nursing homes.

The Comparisons of children′s Emotional and Behavioral Problems and the Roles of Grandparents in Nuclear and Extended families (가족구조에 따른 아동의 문제행동과 조부모의 역할에 대한 인식 비교)

  • 본 연구에서는 핵가족과 확대가족의 구조가 한국 초등학교 아동의 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 비교하였다. 서울과 인천에 거주하는 417명의 초등학생을 대상으로 그들의 문제행동을 Children's Behaviour Questionnaire(CBQ:Rotter, 1967)에 의해서 교사가 평가하였으며, 아동은 그들 조부모의 역할을 Grandmother's Role Questionnaire(GRQ:Suh, 1991)에 의해서 평가하였다. 그 결과, 확대가족의 아동은 핵가족의 아동보다 문제행동을 덜 보였으며, 확대가족의 조부모가 손자녀를 정서적으로 지지하고 돌보아주며 생활에 간섭하는 역할을 하는 반면에 핵가족의 조부모는 손자녀를 훈계하는 역할을 주로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 확대가족에서의 조부모는 손자녀의 정서적인 안정을 뒷받침하고 또한 부모의 스트레스를 완화시키며 가족의 화목한 분위기를 증진시키는 등의 역할을 통해서 손자녀에게 직접적, 간접적으로 영향을 미치며, 이러한 조부모의 역할은 아동의 문제행동에 근간이 되는 가족의 역동성에 영향을 미친다고 본다.

The Mediation Effect of the Interpersonal Relationship Between Attachment and Ambivalence emotion of Emotional Workers (감정노동자의 애착과 정서표현 양가성 관계에서 대인관계문제의 매개효과)

  • We identified the mediating role of interpersonal issues in the relationship between adult attachment type and emotional expression ambivalence. The subjects of the study were 327 emotional workers who lived in five cities. As the scale, ECR-R, AEQ-K, and IIP were used. Sobel verification was performed after multiple regression analysis. The results show that the interpersonal problem partially mediates between the attachment and emotional expression ambivalence. This suggests that the characteristics of interpersonal relationships affect emotional emotions in forming close attachment relationships of emotional workers. Subsequent research will expand the scope of research by supplementing the shortcomings of existing research.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between teacher's emotional intelligence, consciousness of professionalism, and strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Methods: The subjects in this study were 237 childcare center teachers in Seoul and Gyoungi Province in South Korea. Three different inventories were utilized. As for data analysis, the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and Multiple Regressions were conducted through SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The findings of the study were discussed as follows. First, emotional intelligence of teacher had the relationship with strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Second, consciousness of professionalism of teacher had the relationship with strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Conclusion/Implications: First, The findings showed that as teachers had the high level of ability in recognizing and expressing their emotion preciously, so the elements triggering the situation of problem were identified and captured, and the ability of use of preventive strategies in advance increased. The Relationship between Collegiate Athletes' Communication and Problem-Solving Capacity: The Mediating Effect of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategy (대학 운동선수들의 의사소통과 문제해결능력의 관계: 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of adaptive-maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies in relationship between communication competence and problem-solving capacity. Subjects were 189 male collegiate athletes. The results were as follows: Their communication competence had a positive influence on their problem-solving capacity, and their adaptive emotion regulation strategies had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between communication competence and problem-solving capacity. But the maladaptive emotion regulation strategy did not have a statistically significant relationship with communication competence or problem-solving capacity. This result suggests that the communication competence and customized adaptive emotion regulation strategies are necessary to improve the problem-solving capacity of collegiate athletes.

The Longitudinal Relationships between Infant's Negative Emotionality, Mother's Reactive Parenting, and Infant's Problem-solving Ability (영아의 부정적 정서성, 어머니의 반응적 양육, 영아의 문제해결력의 종단적 관련성)

  • The purpose of this research is to examine the causal relationships between an infant's negative emotionality, the mother's reactive parenting, and the infant's problem-solving ability. This research used a Panel Study with Korean Children's 1st-3rd year data, and the subjects were 1789 infants and their mothers. To process the results, descriptive statistics, reliability verification, Pearson's product moment correlation analysis, and path analysis were conducted. The results of this research are as follows: First, the infant's negative emotionality had significant negative effects on the mother's reactive parenting. Second, the mother's reactive parenting had significant positive effects on the infant's problem-solving ability. Third, the infant's negative emotionality had indirect effects on the problem-solving ability. Through the results of this research, it could be interpreted that the path, the infant's negative emotionality, which is a personal factor, and the mother's reactive parenting, which is an environmental factor, had effects on the infant's problem solving ability. Furthermore, basic data to explore the ways of promoting the infant's problem solving ability could be introduced.
