  • Ist der Emotivismus eine $mi{\ss}lungene$ Theorie? Nach der Meinung von Jesse Prinz ist es nicht so. Auf der Humeschen Tradition stehend behauptet er, $da{\ss}$ ein moralisches Urteil ohne das Sentiment von Billigung oder $Mi{\ss}billigung$ nicht zustandekommen kann. Ihm zufolge ist Emotion nicht allein mit moralischen Urteilen verbunden, sondern auch eine notwendige und hinreichende Bedingung $daf{\ddot{u}}r$. Der Grund dessen, warum der Emotivisums nicht ${\ddot{u}}berzeugend$ erschien, liegt darin, $da{\ss}$ $f{\ddot{u}}r$ diesen die Verbindung von Emotion und Moral nur auf den $Gef{\ddot{u}}hlsausdruck$ $beschr{\ddot{a}}nkt$ bleibt. Zwar stellt das moralische Urteil Sentiment dar, aber das bleibt eben nicht als ein $blo{\ss}$ $Gef{\ddot{u}}hlsausdruckendes$. Denn die $Moralit{\ddot{a}}t$ ist nicht die einfache Projektion eines subjektiven Zustandes, vielmehr konstruiert die emotionale Reaktion von Billigung oder $Mi{\ss}billigung$ das moralische Urteil. Daher muss der projektistische Gesichtspunkt des expressionistischen Emotivismus modifiziert werden, so $da{\ss}$ der oft dem Emotivismus kritisch zugeschriebene moralische Nihilismus zu ${\ddot{u}}berwinden$ ist. In diesem Zusammenhang $schl{\ddot{a}}g$ Prinz den konstruktiven Sentimentalismus vor, der als eine hybride Theorie des Moralbegriffs von 'biologiscehn Tatsachen' und 'sozialer Konstruktion' darauf zielt, im moralischen Leben eine Stelle auszumanchen, wo Evolution und Kutur zueinander zusammentreffen $k{\ddot{o}}nnen$.

  • Facial expressions decide an image for the individual, and the ability to interpret emotion from facial expressions is the core of human relations, hence recognizing emotion through facial expression is important enough to change attitude and decisions between individuals within social relations. Children with unstable attachment development, seniors, autistic group, ADHD children and depression group showed low performance results in facial expression recognizing ability tasks, and active interventions with such groups anticipates possibilities of prevention and therapeutic effects for psychological disabilities. The quantified figures that show detailed change in position of lips, eyes and cheeks anticipates for possible applications in diverse fields such as human sensibility ergonomics, korean culture and art contents, therapeutical and educational applications to overcome psychological disabilities and as methods of non-verbal communication in the globalizing multicultural society to overcome cultural differences.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated program to improve the creative and emotional ability of lower grade students. This program aimed to cultivate creative thinking and creative personality for problem solving, and to learn how to interact positively with others by developing emotional expression and control. Creative thinking ability includes fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, imagination, and sensitivity. Creative personality includes curiosity, sensitivity, adventure, humor, independence, task commitment, and problem solving leadership. We selected 6 creative thinking skills such as mind-map and brainstorming. Emotional factors consist of self /other understanding, control of emotional effect, self-expression emotionally, and respect for others for cooperation. The integrated program consisted of 12 themes, and the class time was set to 40 minutes, which is the same as the elementary curriculum. The program was conducted by a teacher with 10 years' experience.

Examines satisfaction of hue and emotion for emotion expression. The magnetic pole of emotion continuously comes in, There must be it will be able to confirm change of many emotion as a real-time. The shooting game the magnetic pole of multi emotion continuously comes in, Because it will be able to confirm the change of emotion as a real-time, suitable the applies for the research of emotion expression Consequently, The application it tried with character hue of shooting game.

  • This research is for selection of animal and establishment of guideline which for animal robot design for the purpose of emotionally disturbed children's psychotherapy. In the case of emotionally disturbed children because of poor expression about themselves's emotional condition, there are many restriction in the existing cure and educational method. Using research method of animal shape robot which is starting to make attempt since the late 1990s is effective to learning disturbed children. For the development of animal robot for psychotherapy of emotionally disturbed children first of all which animal is selected is very important. Therefore at the early stage of research preference surveyed to children including emotionally disturbed children and decide an object of animal robot. And what kind of shape is very preferred is also preference surveyed. Through focusing group interview about shape, color, facial expression, sound, and move which have an influence on outward shape design of robot, present the guideline which is needed to animal robot design for emotionally disturbed children.

  • In this paper, we propose an Active Shape Model (ASM) and Lucas-Kanade (LK) optical flow-based feature extraction and analysis method for analyzing the emotional features from facial images. Considering the facial emotion feature regions are described by Facial Action Coding System, we construct the feature-related shape models based on the combination of landmarks and extract the LK optical flow vectors at each landmarks based on the centre pixels of motion vector window. The facial emotion features are modelled by the combination of the optical flow vectors and the emotional states of facial image can be estimated by the probabilistic estimation technique, such as Bayesian classifier. Also, we extract the optimal emotional features that are considered the high correlation between feature points and emotional states by using common spatial pattern (CSP) analysis in order to improvise the operational efficiency and accuracy of emotional feature extraction process.

The Effect of REBT Reading Therapy Program on Peer Relationships in Lower Elementary School Students (REBT 독서치료 프로그램이 초등 저학년 아동의 인지•정서•행동 및 또래 관계에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigated the impact of reading therapy programs(classes) on the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and peer relationships of children in the lower grades of elementary school. The study was conducted at the B Public Library in A Metropolitan City, Korea. Eight elementary school students participated in the REBT reading therapy program for 12 sessions, each lasting 120 minutes, every Saturday. The research method was qualitative, and an observer was appointed to verify the qualitative research. The observer and the researcher qualitatively analyzed the participant's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral observation diaries and pre- and post-person-picture tests for each session. As a result of the study, the REBT reading therapy program was found to have a positive impact on the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes and formation of peer relationships of the children. The results of the study show the need for children and youth institutions, including public libraries, to develop and operate reading therapy programs for various groups.

  • The aim of this paper is to establish the theoretical foundation on "the integrative study of the character education for the promotion of social and emotional competencies of children.". Based on the social and emotional learning(SEL), this paper is tried to find out the effective ways to develop children's good character. According to SEL, social and emotional competence is the ability to understand, manage, and express the social and emotional aspects of one's life in ways that enable the successful management of life tasks such as learning, forming relationships, solving everyday problems, and adapting to the complex demands of growth and development. And it is also the process of acquiring and effectively applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to recognize and manage emotions. Five key competencies such as self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, self-management, relationship skills are taught, practiced, and reinforced through SEL programming. Both the social and emotional learning movement and the character education share in common the idea that much of human character can be modified for the better through learning. While character educators engage in developing civic virtue and moral character in our youth for more compassionate and responsible society, SEL educators engage in educating for a safe, secure, caring society. To effectively teach social and emotional competencies, the teachers themselves must embrace a teaching and learning philosophy that models the attitudes, feelings, and behaviors we aim to teach.

Social Interaction of Caregivers and Their Children with Down Syndrome or Without Disability (다운증후군 아동과 정상아동의 보호자와의 사회적 상호관계에 대한 비교연구)

  • This study investigated caregivers' communication styles and children's emotional development. Emotion-laden puzzle tasks were used to elicit caregivers' communication styles while interacting with their children. Participants included children with Down syndrome (N=10) and typical children (N=15) and their caregivers. As expected, caregivers of children with Down syndrome (DS) used more behavior and attention directives with their children, and caregivers of typical children used more conversation-eliciting prompts with their children. Parents of children with Down syndrome also used a unique communication style in which they asked a question and immediately answered it themselves. Additionally, caregivers of typical children focused more on emotion concepts in their communications with their children and caregivers of DS used more cognitive concepts such as labeling colors and shapes. The results revealed that caregivers of children with Down syndrome usually tried to educate children by emphasizing cognitive concepts to compensate for their delayed development. Because the children are delayed in their emotional development, parents may need help in intervening on the area of emotional development.

Children's Somatic Symptoms by Emotion Related Child and Parenting Variables (정서 관련 아동 및 부모 양육 변인에 따른 초등학교 아동의 신체화 증상)

  • This study aimed to identify children's emotional variables (anxiety and emotional expressiveness) and parenting variables supporting emotional development (affection and concern for, respect, and trust of children) which influence somatic symptoms. Subjects were 311 6th grade children. Instruments were the Korean version of the State-Trait Anxiety for Children (Spielberger, 1973), Children's Somatization Inventory (Walker & Green, 1991), Emotional Expressiveness Questionnaire (King & Emmons, 1990), and the Parenting Behavior Test by the researcher. Analysis by t-test showed that children's anxiety influenced somatization. The children who perceived that both parents respect their thoughts, feelings and choices and that their fathers trust their behaviors and abilities showed low somatic symptoms. Supporting children's emotional development through good parenting practices was discussed.
