이 연구는 공공도서관 사서의 정보활용능력 수준에 대한 자기인식과 실제 평가를 통해 Big6모형을 기반으로 하여 공공도서관 사서의 정보활용능력 수준실태를 78명의 사서를 대상으로 실험하였다. 연구 결과, 정보요구 영역은 높게, 정보평가 영역에 대해서는 다른 영역보다 낮게 나타났지만 모든 영역에 대해서 평균이상으로 조사되어 사서들의 정보활용교육 필요성을 파악할 수 있었다. 특히 정보활용교육 경험여부에 대한 두 집단간의 차이는 정보이용 영역을 제외하고는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않음을 알 수 있었다.

This study is an attempt to explore the professional image of librarianship through librarians' subjectivity using Q-methodology based on intraindividual difference in significance. The study identified four types of the professional image of librarianship and discussed their relationship; the ambivalent, the prideful, the advanced, and the critical. Each types are unique, not inter-exclusive characteristics reflected the context of the present. Also, all types have a positive image toward the librarianship.

이 연구는 대학도서관 사서에게 어떠한 지적 기반을 요구하고 있는가에 대한 물음에서 시작되었다. 현 문헌정보학 교과과정이 대학도서관에 필요한 사서를 양성하는데 적합한지 현장 사서들의 의견을 들어보았다. 특히, 시대가 요구하는 대학도서관 사서들이 갖추어야 하는 능력이 무엇인지 지식, 기술, 태도의 측면으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 대학도서관이 요구하는 사서를 양성하기 위해서 문헌정보학 교과과정은 어떻게 변화되어야 하는지 논의해보았다.

도서관 민원과 이용자 불평행동을 살펴보고, 사서의 직무 불안을 야기하는 이용자 불평행동에 대한 이론적인 접근과 조사를 통해, 도서관 현장에서의 블랙컨슈머와 사서스트레스의 상관성을 분석하고자 한다. 본 논문은 지금까지의 사서의 직무스트레스 관련 연구가 직무스트레스 요인분석, 직무만족과의 관련성을 분석하였다면, 사서 직무에 대한 업무 범위를 좀 더 세분하여 사서의 대민서비스 역할에 주목하고, 도서관의 불량고객의 유형을 파악하여, 감정노동 분야 및 소비자학에서 논의되어 왔던 불평행동에 따른 직무스트레스 부분에 대하여 심도 있게 접근하고자 한다.

This study was conducted to confirm the research trend related to law librarians abroad. To this end, we collected articles about law librarians from abroad and analyzed the author's keywords and abstracts. As a result, it was confirmed that the primary roles of law librarians are legal research service, legal information service, and education service, and discussed topics on the changed roles of law librarians according to changes in the legal research environment and strengthening their expertise. Based on the results, the issues and directions for research about law librarians in Korea were proposed.

The pupose of the study is to define the concept of faculty librarian system and provide suggestions in developing the system as a professional mode suitable for academic librarianship. The background and development of the system were reviewed and the advantages and disadvantages of faculty librarian system were addressed along with the investigations of the current status of professor librarians in USA. This thesis presents the 'Information and the Library' curriculum and the roles of teacher-librarians. Related to 'The School Library Promotion Law', this thesis presents the effects teacher-librarians instruct 'Information and the Library' curriculum to the school libraries, and the challenges related to this curriculum. This thesis contains the role and work of three kinds of staff in the school library. implementation of primary and secondary 'Information and the Library' curriculum for information literacy instruction in the school libraries, the effects by 'Information and the Library' curriculum. and challenges of 'Information and the Library' curriculum. Conclusively, teacher-librarians should accomplish their own instructional activities with 'Information and the Library' curriculum in the school curricula as differentiated work from librarians.

Analyzing out the Key Tasks and Developing the Professional Type of National Librarians through Job Analysis was made, because improving the professionalism of librarians is the strategy of survival in the competency based society. It is composed of 22 duties, 216 tasks of national librarian job and 96 key tasks is extracted among them. As the results, 12 types of professional librarian which is composed 10 function oriented types, and 2 user oriented types, is suggested: collection development librarian, cataloger taxonomist, information service librarian, reading coach, research librarian of international standards, database & system manager, international work librarian, national support librarian, marketing librarian, library literacy librarian, children' librarian, handicapped service librarian.

The purpose of this study is to identify how teacher librarians perceive the importance of each job and the expected job of other teachers and students, and to obtain basic information on their job recognition and to derive their jobs to be improved. To this end, after modifying the 25 jobs selected by Lim Jeong-hoon et al.(2021), 210 librarian teachers were measured for their own importance by job, the expected importance of other teachers and students, and the level of evaluation of their own performance ability. As a result of the analysis, teacher librarians recognized 'reading education and literacy education' as the most important, but recognized 'library event' as the most important task expected of other teachers and students, and recognized that 'library usage guidance' was the most outstanding. In addition, there were nine jobs that needed to be improved.

The purpose of this study is to survey the reference information service participation to school library human resources, to compare the independent variables with reference information service participation, and to discern what the important impacts on the differences of reference information service participation are. The 254 questionaries used were collected from December 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006 to the 327 school library employees. In this study, it is proved that there are differences between the Reference Information Service Participation of school library human resources and independent variables: gender, the level of school library, length of service, employment style. Tips for the reference information service participation of school library human resources were provided based on inadequacies and other findings revealed through this study.
