The Impact of Reflective Thinking Methods on Improvement of Pre-service Geography Teacher's Teaching Knowledge (반성방법의 차이가 예비 지리교사의 수업전문지식에 미치는 영향)

  • This research aims to figure out the impact of different reflective thinking methods on pre-service geography teachers' teaching knowledge. Four pre-service teachers in the same level were selected through the first simulated instruction, Then, different reflective methods were given them to carry out the reflection. Afterwards, they carried out their second simulated instruction. The change of average score of pre-service teachers was analyzed through the peer reviews and Paired samples T-test. The results are as follows. First, when the first peer review score were compared with second peer review, average score of all pre-service teachers improved. But, pre-service teachers who got cooperative reflection with a specialist had the widest variation in the increase level of average score comparing to those without reflection or reflective journal writing. Second, reflective journal writing through self-reflection led to their reflective thinking, but it did not induce them to reflective practice. Finally, pre-service teacher who got cooperative reflection with experienced teachers got the significant improvement in PCK through the T-test. In particular, it had significant statistical value in instruction section and understanding of students section. It demonstrates that the contextual section could be improved by self-reflection or repetitive class practices, while instruction section and understanding of students section needed consulting by assistants.

Comparison of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstructions Using Hamstring Tendon Autograft and Tibialis Tendon Allograft (자가 슬괵건 및 동종 경골건을 이용한 전방 십자 인대 재건술의 결과 비교)

  • Purpose: To compare the clinical and radiological results of anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) reconstruction using hamstring autograft and tibialis tendon allograft. Materials and Methods: Twenty four ACL reconstructions using hamstring autograft and 30 using tibialis anterior tendon altograft were followed up at least 1 year. We performed femoral tunnel fixation with Ligament Anchor(LA) screw and tibial tunnel fixation with biodegradable interference screw. Evaluations included Lysholm knee(LK) score, Tegner activity scale, Lachman test, Pivot-Shift test, Quardriceps atrophy, incision site numbness, anterior knee pain and instrumented anterior laxity with $Telos^{(R)}$ device. Results: Preoperativ mean LK score was $60.3(18{\sim}82)$ in autograft group and 61.2(25-80) in allograft group. Mean LK score improved to $91.6(68{\sim}100)\;and\;92.6(77{\sim}100)$ respectively. Activity level, using Tegner activity scale, slightly decreased compared with that of Preinjury state in both groups. Lachman test, pivot-shift test, Quadriceps atrophy, anterior knee pain, incision site numbness, and anterior drawer test using $Telos^{(R)}$ device showed no significant difference between two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: In performing the ACL reconstruction, there was no statistically significant difference between hamstring autograft group and tibilis anterior allograft group in clinical or in radiological results.

Analysis on the Effect of EITC(Earned Income Tax Credit) on Work Incentive -Focus on the second policy that was revised in 2011- (근로장려세제(EITC)의 근로유인 분석 -2차 개정안 근로시간 증감 비교-)

  • This study tries to analyze whether the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which was modified in 2011, has the effect of work incentive. In this sense, by establishing the 8th Wave of Korea Welfare Panel Study (2013) and the 9th Wave (2014), Furthermore, in order to overcome the methodological limit, the results of two-party analysis method will be compared by firstly carrying out multiple regression analysis and then performing propensity score matching analysis. The 535 households out of 6,025 were selected. The following are the results of multiple digression analysis and propensity score matching analysis. First, there was no statistically meaningful relationship with regard to the perception of the EITC. Second, there was a statistically meaningful result in the reduction of working hours with regard to whether a household received labor incentive or not. The study found that the revised EITC is not providing incentives which stimulates the will to work.

Analysis of Cause on Difference of ICT Literacy Level according to Gender in Middle School (중학생의 성별에 따른 ICT 리터러시 수준 차이 원인 분석)

  • In this paper, I analyzed the cause that girl' ICT literacy score was hiegher than boy's score in middle school after 2010. KERIS had sampled 1% of whole middle school students and measured their ICT level. Therefore, I analyzed the correlation by gender between ICT literacy score and the using habit of ICT based on that result. As a result, the girl's score was higher than the boy's score in field of creating or editing documents, searching information for homework and study, accessing to on-line dictionary for study and enjoying SNS. Also, that difference between girl and boy had little correlation with ICT literacy score. Therefore, I proposed educational method for ICT literacy learning based on the difference of habit to use ICT between boys and girls.

The Effect of Depressive Symptoms on Cognitive Function in the Elderly: Moderation Effect of Education (노년기 우울이 인지기능에 미치는 영향: 교육의 조절효과)

  • Geriatric depression is associated with pathological changes in the brain and increases the risk of cognitive impairment or dementia. However, high cognitive reserve, such as high education, can delay or minimize clinical manifestations of pathologies involving the brain, so the effect of geriatric depression on cognitive impairment or dementia may vary depending on the education level. In this study, the author analyzed data from the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) to examine whether the effect of geriatric depression on cognitive function differed depending on education level. Among the 10,254 subjects registered in the KLoSA, the 4,905 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were analyzed by stepwise regression analysis. The results were as follows: first, depressive symptoms predicted low cognitive function after 12 years; second, the negative effect of depressive symptoms on cognitive function after 12 years was higher in the old adult group than in the young adult group; and third, the effect of age was significant only in the low-educated group. These results suggest that depressive symptoms in low-educated old adults may increase the risk of development of dementia in the long term.

Problem Based Learning Evaluation and Evaluation Agents - Focused on Tutor, Peer and Self Evaluation (문제중심학습에서 평가주체에 따른 평가 - 튜터평가, 동료평가, 자기평가를 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to compare the evaluation scores among different evaluation agents-tutor, peer and self evaluation. It also aimed to identify the correlations among the evaluation agents and each agent's influencing factors that can have impact on PBL evaluation. 105 nursing students who had PBL methods in their learning had 3 different tutor, peer and self evaluation consecutively with the PBL Effectiveness Evaluation Tool. Self evaluation score was higher than both tutor and peer evaluation for 3 different evaluation. There was a significant correlation between tutor evaluation and peer evaluation. 'Problem solving ability' for tutor evaluation and 'Cooperative learning ability' for peer evaluation and self evaluation were the influencing factors.

남녀 대학생들의 성격 지표에 따른 영양섭취실태와 식습관 점수

  • 본 연구는 남녀 대학생들의 성격유형 판별을 위해 많이 사용되고 있는 MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) 검사를 통한 성격 지표와 영양섭취실태와 식습관 사이의 관련성을 살펴보기 위해서 경기도 Y 대학교에 재학하고 있는 남녀대학생 283명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 조사대상자의 성격 유형은 남녀 모두에서 외향성(Extroversion, 55.8%)이 내향성 (Introversion, 44.2%)보다 조금 많았고, 감각형 (Sensing, 78.1%)이 직관형 (iNtuition, 21.9%)보다 많았으며, 사고형 (Thinking, 67.8%)이 감정형 (Feeling, 32.2%)보다 많고, 판단형 (Judging, 50.2%)과 인식형 (Perceiving,49.8%)은 비슷한 비율로 나타났다. 조사대상자들의 식습관 조사 결과 남학생이 100점 기준으로 46.1점, 여학생이 45.1점으로 유의한 차이가 없었고, 영양소 섭취 실태 조사 결과 남학생이 2,019㎉로 한국인 에너지 권장량의 80.8%, 여학생은 1,675㎉로 권장량의 83.7%를 섭취하고 있었다. 미량 영양소의 경우에는 남학생은 칼슘과 비타민 B$_2$, 여학생은 칼슘, 철, 비타민 C, 비타민 A를 권장량의 90% 미만으로 섭취하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 식습관과 여러 가지 영양소 섭취량은 양의 상관관계를 보여서 식습관 점수가 좋을수록 영양소 섭취량이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 성격 선호 경향에 따른 식습관 점수에서는 판단형의 사람들이 인식형보다 식습관 점수가 유의하게 높게 나타났고, 다른 성격유형의 경우에는 유의 차는 없지만, 외향성, 감각형, 사고형에서 그에 대조되는 성격 선호지표보다 식습관 점수가 높은 경향이었다. 성격 선호 경향에 따른 영양소 섭취실태에서는 남녀 모두에서 외향성이 내향성보다 영양섭취실태가 좋았고, 남학생의 경우에는 감정형이 사고형보다 영양 섭취실태가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 영양 밀도로 살펴보았을 때에는 사고형과 판단형이 그에 대조되는 감정형과 인식형보다 영양 밀도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 대학생의 성격 유형에 따라 판단형의 사람들이 인식형의 사람들보다 식습관이 좋고, 외향성의 사람들이 내향성의 사람들보다 영양섭취실태가 양호한 것으로 사료된다. 한 편, 감각형-직관형은 식습관이나 영양섭취실태와 뚜렷한 관련성을 보여주지 않았고, 사고형-감정형은 감정형의 경우 남학생에서 영양섭취실태가 좋았지만, 영양밀도나 식습관에서는 사고형이 더 좋은 경향을 보여주어서 일관된 경향을 찾기가 어려웠다. 앞으로 대학생을 대상으로 한 영양 상담시에 이들의 성격 유형을 참조하면 영양상담 대상자를 보다 잘 이해할 수 있으므로, 이에 적합한 영양 지도 방법을 제시하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • This study confirmed the validity of the health score(HS) calculation methodology and results. HS is an index that scores the degree of personal health by applying clinical standards and statistical function to health check-up items. It's calculated by the total size of the biomarker on the health change, the influence on the health change, the weight change rate according to the degree of outlier, and the standardized value. In order to confirm the validity of the results, several diseases were selected and HS was compared between the disease occurrence group and the disease absence group. And by segmenting the ranked HS, the disease incidence rate was compared. As a result, in all selected diseases, the difference in the mean of HS was significant according to the presence or absence of disease, and the incidence of selected diseases showed a tendency to increase as HS decreased.

The Enhancement of Creative Thinking Skill through the Writing Activity about the Basic Inquiry and the Integrated Inquiry Elements (탐구 요소 별 글쓰기와 통합적 문제 해결 글쓰기 활동을 통한 창의적 사고력 신장 방안)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on science writing and to investigate its effects on enhancing students' creative thinking skills. In advance, students in the experiment were led to write by inquiry elements. And students in the experiment group were taught by science writing strategy. Students in the control group were taught by traditional lecture-based instructions. The program was implemented over a semester. The results indicated that the experimental group presented statistically meaningful improvement in creative thinking skills(p<.05). Especially, science writing was effective on fluency and flexibility development(p<.05). This study suggests that science writing can be effective for improvement of creative thinking skills.

Site Selection Method by AHP-based Artificial Neural Network Model for Groundwater Artificial Recharge (AHP 기반의 인공신경망 모델을 활용한 지하수 인공함양 후보지 선정 방안)

  • Local drought in South Korea has recently increased interest in the efficient use of groundwater and then induces a growing need to introduce artificial recharge of groundwater that stores water in sedimentary layer. In order to evaluate the potential artificial recharge sites in the alluvial basins in Chungcheongnamdo province, an AHP (Analytical hierarchy process) model consisting of three primary and seven secondary factors was developed in this study. In the AHP model, adding candidate sites changes final evaluation score through a mathematical calculation process. By contrast ANN (Artificial neural network) model always provides an unchanged score for each candidate area. Therefore, the score can be used as a selection criterion for artificial recharge sites. It is concluded that the possibility of artificial recharge is relatively low if the score of the ANN model is less than about 1.5. Further studies and field surveys on the other regions in Korea will lead to draw out a more applicable ANN model.
