  • In recent years, We have had many civil application about electromagnetic waves according to increasing of construction of electric power facilities. This paper describes human body effect by regulation management and the guidelines of human body protection of electromagnetic waves. We try to evaluate the effect of electromagnetic waves by actual measurement at wind power generation complexes in Hang-won, Jeju.

Assessment of Melatonin Levels in Human Volunteers Exposed to Electromagnetic Fields(EMFs) (전자파 노출이 멜라토닌 분비량에 미치는 영향에 관한 조사연구)

  • A pilot study was undertaken to examine the possible health effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs). An experimental study was performed for two weeks of preexposure, exposure, postexposure period of February-May 1997 to determine changes in melatonin levels in urine of five volunteers before or after exposure to electric mattress during their normal sleeping hours. An urine sample was collected at about 8 a.m. right after getting up from each volunteer. Average melatonin levels seemed to be 1.6 times lower during EMF exposure period for two weeks than the corresponding levels during preexposure period. Mean melatonin levels in postexposure period were lower than the corresponding levels in preexposure period. It suggested that melatonin levels were likely to take more two weeks for recovering the preexposure melatonin level. Further research is underway with regard to EMF exposure effects on melatonin levels between occupational and nonoccupational groups.

  • 현재 선진국에서는 전자기기에서 복사되는 전자파 및 이에 노출되었을 때의 내성에 대해서 동시에 규제하고 있다. 따라서 전자기기에서 사용하는 신호의 주파수가 점점 높아지고 회로가 집적화되므로 회로설계에 포함되지 않는 기생 소자의 영향도 연구되어져야 한다. 그러므로 이러한 조건을 모두 고려하여 초고주파 회로를 완전하게 설계제작할 수 있다면 이는 이상적인 기술이라 할 수 있을 것이다. 이것을 이루려면 많은 시간 동안의 연구와 분석을 통해 최종 생산물이 되기까지 대단한 노력이 요구된다. 본문에서는 초고주파 인쇄 회로 기판을 설계할 때 고려해야 할 점, 즉, 유전율 및 유전체의 두께, 소자 실장, 접지면 부착 및 회로의 패키지화에 관해서 소개하고자 한다.

  • We investigated the effects of the fabric structure or the kinds of plated metals on the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) by means of electroless plating on polyester fabric. We found that the weight of deposited metal, EMI SE, and flexibility of the conductive fabric for EMI shield is affected by morphology of fabric and structure of fiber. The EMI SE of conductive fabric plated Ni/Cu/Ni by electroless plating method on draw textured yarn (DTY) polyester was in the practically useful range of above 70 dB over a wide frequency range of 10 MHz to 1.0 GHz at the surface resistivity of $0.05{\Omega}/{\square}$. Au or Ag plated conductive fabric by immersion plating method is not able to provide for a good EMI SE.

  • The effect which electromagnetic wave has influence on visual activity of human, was investigated in this study. The EEG and the EOG generated by the rays of LED were measured in shield room when the subject were exposed at electromagnetic wave(820MHz, 2mV) or not exposed. Each component of the EEG was compared and evaluated on being exposed at electromagnetic wave or not. As a result was $\alpha$ wave was represented relatively low level in the case of exposed at electromagnetic wave and $\beta$ wave was represented relatively low level in the case of not exposed.

  • 위성은 발사 후 임무수행을 위하여 필수적인 자세정보를 획득해야 한다. 별 추적기는 궤도상에서 별의 위치를 파악하여 상대적인 위성의 위치를 확인하는 데에 사용하는 감지기이다. 별 추적기는 태양, 지구, 달 등의 광원으로부터 오는 빛을 차단해 주는 시야각제한기(baffle), 광학계소자(CCD) 및 렌즈, 열제어소자(cooler) 그리고 전원 및 전자박스 등으로 구성된다. 위성은 발사 전 조립시험 기간 동안 전자파, 진동, 열/진공 등의 환경시험 통하여 수차례의 성능 유무를 확인한다. 이 환경시험 전과 후에는 위성의 모든 전장품의 기능시험을 수행하여, 각 전장품의 환경영향 유무를 판별한다. 특히 벌 추적기 관련시험으로, 광학계 성능 검증을 위한 광학적 자극시험과 전자박스의 구동확인을 위한 전자박스 점검시험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 지상에서 수행한 별 추적기의 기능시험 결과를 분석하여 건정성 동향을 분석하였다.

  • In this study, an experimental method to be able to induce the evoked potential which was reflecting the activity of brain was designed, when the electromagnetic wave was exposed at human or not. The influence of the electromagnetic wave on each component of the evoked potential was discussed. Each component of N100, P100, N200, P300 and so on of the evoked potential was measured in the designed experimental method, And it was observed that the difference existed at each component when the electromagnetic wave was exposed and not exposed.

  • 현장에서 많이 사용되고 있는 GIS에 결함이 발생하면 치명적인 사고로 진전될 수가 있다. 본 논문은 모의 GIS내 도전성 금속이물질 존재 시 발생되는 부분방전 신호를 절연 진단 방법중 하나인 UHF법을 이용하여 부분방전 시 방사되는 방사전자파의 스펙트럼을 분석해 금속이물질이 SF$_{6}$ 가스부분방전에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 이러한 연구는 현장 GIS 및 SF$_{6}$ 가스절연 전력설비에서 금속이물질에 의해 발생되는 절연파괴 사고의 방지에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다.

Capacity Variation of a Microcell due to Power Control Error in and Overlaid Macrocell/Microcell CDMA System (매크로셀내에 마이크로셀이 중첩된 CDMA 시스템에서 전력제어오차로 의한 마이크로셀의 용량 변화)

  • The BER performance and the capacity variation of a microcell due to power control error(PCE) is analyzed on service types(data and voice, respectively) for the reverse link of an overlaid cell CDMA system. The procedure of analysis is followed as: First, we calculate BER performance according to PCE. Next, we find the minimum SNR for voice service, BER=TEX>$10^{-3}$, and data service, BER=TEX>$10^{-5}$. Then, according to the calculated SNR, we find the maximum capacity of a microcell and macrocell and the capacity of a microcell where interference is considered is found and analyzed with that in perfect power control. We get to the results as follows. The BER performance in 1 dB PCE is similar to that in perfect power control, however, with a increase in PCE, the BER performance is largely degraded. In terms of capacity, it is shown that if the PCE is equal or less than 2 dB, the effect of the PCE on voice service is more than that on data service, but if the PCE is equal or more than 3 dB, effect of the PCE on data service is more than that on voice. Besides, if the PCE is equal or less than 2 dB, both PCE and interference should be considered to calculate the capacity of a microcell, but if the PCE is equal or more than 3 dB, interference can be negligible since the effect of PCE is much stronger than that of interference. Therefore, the microcell should be located where $R_d$, the ratio of a microcell to a macrocell radius, is equal to 0.1, and d, the ratio of the distance between a microcell and a macrocell to the macrocell radius, is equal or more than 0.5, in order to obtain a appropriate microcell capacity against interference. If $\sigma$ is adjusted to less than 2 dB, we may get equal or more than 70% of the maximum microcell capacity.
