A Study on Development of Major Curriculum for Broadcasting, Entertainment and Acting in Connection with Cultural Content Industry (문화 컨텐츠 산업과 연계된 방송 연예, 연기학과 전공 교육과정개발에 관한 연구)

  • In order to improve executive ability in response to need of job ability in cultural content industry and in connection with industrial scene, it is required to develop curriculum for department of broadcasting, entertainment and acting First of all, environmental analysis of cultural content industry, survey on industry demand, survey on demand by enrolled students and graduated students, survey on demand by local community were made and conducted to draw job competency for acting art. In addition, the existing curriculum was analyzed through evaluation by field experts, enrolled students, and graduated students. Based on the analysis results, major curriculum was developed for department of broadcasting, entertainment and acting. Such curriculum development enables providing acting education that focuses on core competency to maximize education effect and cultivating actor who is suitable for the age of multimedia based on local infrastructure. Moreover, the curriculum development helps cultivating versatile actor, rather than famous actor.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the future development direction of the program which can apply the fusion education in the fourth industrial revolution era to the class and achieve creative problem solving ability. As a research method, we investigated cases of overseas coding education and conducted in - depth interviews with infants and parents. The results of the case study and in-depth interviews were as follows: First, the children were able to do their own preliminary and reviewing at home. Second, to provide an interesting play program for the young children to participate. Third, It is important that parents and children learn together. In future research, it is anticipated that there will be a positive effect by concrete proposal to secure the weaknesses and to combine existing coding education with interesting education in accordance with domestic characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a program to improve the curriculum of the Department of Advertising and PR and to improve education in the 4th industrial revolution based on blockchain. This study is in charge of human resources department, planning, and production of advertising agencies with a high understanding of the direction of human resource development of advertising agencies and career education of universities. Six people were divided into two groups and an in-depth interview was conducted. It was found that the curriculum of the Department of Advertising and PR has not yet been reorganized, and the method of career education is still progressing in the traditional media era. In order to cultivate future advertising professionals, it is important that advertising education must operate courses and adopt the curriculum so that they can be trained as experts who can adapt to the revolutionary change engine of blockchain.

  • 영재 교육이 공교육 차원에서 확대됨에 따라 영재 지도 교사의 범위도 확대되고 있다. 이전에는 대학의 수학과 또는 수학교육과의 교원이나 대학원에서 수학 교육을 전공하는 교사들이 수학 영재를 지도하였으나, 점차로 영재 교육 연수를 받은 현장 교사들이 영재 지도를 맡고 있다. 이러한 현상은 역설적으로 수학 영재 교육에 대한 기본적인 사항에 대한 논의를 더욱 심각하게 제기한다. 특히 '수학 영재아란 누구인가'와 '수학 영재 교육은 무엇이며 어떻게 시켜야하는가' 하는 질문은 가장 근본적인 질문이면서도 영재 교육을 담당하는 교사들에게는 풀기 힘든 과제가 아닐 수 없다. 본 고에서는 수학 영재의 교수-학습 방법으로 일반적인 교수-학습 방법 중 창의력을 개발하여 주는 수학 학습 방법을 영재들에게 적합하게 적용할 것을 제안하며, 그 일례로 개방형 교수법의 발전적 적용 방법을 전개하여 보았다.

  • 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 교육은 컴퓨터과학 분야의 관련 전공과목을 공부하기 위하여 매우 중요할 뿐만 아니라, 학생들의 취업을 위한 기술 교육에서도 매우 중요하다. 이 논문에서는 학생들의 교육 및 취업에 적합한 교육용 및 상용 프로그래밍 언어, 도구에 대한 타당성을 분석하여 프로그래밍 교육에 적합한 프로그래밍 언어/도구를 선택하고, 이에 대한 교육 과정을 개발하여 프로그래밍 현장 교육에 적용하고 분석한다. 특히, 최근의 기술 추세와 산업계에 필요한 임베디드/모바일/웹/3D 프로그래밍 분야에 널리 사용되고 있는 프로그래밍 분야에서 텍스트 기반 언어(예: JAVA)와 시각 프로그래밍 언어/환경(예: LabVIEW)에 대한 유용성을 비교하여 분석한다.

  • In the aspect of the faculty, a course coordinator plays an significant role in managing the curriculum and counseling students on academic matters and fostering their progress in the course. However, the course coordinator cannot afford to advise students on which fields of their faculty fit them and which courses they have to take. This paper proposes a mobile course coordinator system to help students learn courses of their major fields deeply. Also the proposed system is implemented by using WIPI technology, so that it is platform-independent and it is able to assist the course coordinator who is counseling students. And the students with personal cellular phones are able to keep tracking their courses, and improve their knowledge about major subjects by taking courses which the system's inference engine will advise.

  • For students majoring in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, describing a building with pictures and signs is equal to expressing his/her opinion with sentences and presentations. CAD (computer aided design) is a method of describing buildings, and is used practically in architecture-related companies. Many universities prescribe CAD instruction as a compulsory subject, and ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) requires an introduction to CAD as a basic subject for visual expression. The Architectural Drawing and CAD class in the department of Architectural Engineering of J University is a 2-credit course, with 4 hours of lectures per week. Relative to other subjects, this is insufficient for practical study. Thus, to make up for this insufficient time, the class has adopted a Blended learning system that mixes off-line and on-line classes. The objective of this research is to introduce Blended learning, and to give a case study of the CAD class using Blended learning.

  • To qualitative improvement in addition to the quantitative growth of field placement, efforts to reduce short-term (4 weeks) and mid-term professional practice (8 weeks) and to increase the proportion of long-term term professional practice (12 weeks or more) are increasing at university sites. There are the problems: the absence of systematic and specialized field placement curriculum of the short-term and mid-term professional practice, the participation of university field placement increases, companies do not prefer to participate in its program and students hesitate to apply to long-term practice due to their major. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes the IPBP(Industry Problem Based professional Practice) based on Gyeongbuk K University which the students solve the company's difficulties during the field placement with their professor if need. In order to build a win-win field practice culture with participating companies, we suggest that the IPBP solution field practice presented in this paper is one of the good models.

The Attitude of Construction Students toward Sustainability in the Built Environment (건축물에서의 친환경개념에 대한 건축공학전공 대학생의 태도)

  • This study investigates the level of the construction student's familiarity and interest in sustainability, their attitude toward sustainability, and the factors for bringing student's attitude toward sustainability. To accomplish the main objectives, this study employes a survey instrument created and developed by the authors. This is a descriptive and correlation study using responses from construction students at the Building Construction department at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Virginia. The results of descriptive statistics and multiple regression using SPSS version 16 present the following findings. Construction students perceive that they have a relatively high level of familiarity with sustainable construction and sustainability. Secondly, student's attitude toward sustainability is changed based on several factors such as sustainable construction courses, a professor who is interested in sustainability, their interest in the construction industry, university initiative, and the level of sustainability for student's learning facilities. Finally, the construction student's attitude toward sustainability can be improved by offering sustainable construction courses in construction programs, having professors who teach and research sustainability, and adopting sustainable initiatives at the university level such as campus recycling and various sustainable programs.

Analysis of Achievement and College Major Choice According to Longitudinal Pattern of Awareness of ICT Literacy and Frequency of Computer Use (컴퓨터 활용능력과 빈도의 종단적 패턴에 따른 학업성취도와 대학전공 선택 분석)

  • In the information society, the ability of learners to use computers to conduct self-directed learning is important. Indeed, the higher the computer's ability to use computers, the more the academic achievement needs to be analyzed. The purpose of this study was to identify longitudinal trajectories of student awareness of ICT literacy and frequency of computer use. We also examined the effects of the longitudinal patterns on academic achievement and college major choice. A non-parametric approach, K-means for longitudinal data(KML) algorithm, was conducted using 9-year longitudinal data from Seoul Education Longitudinal Study (2010-2018). Findings indicated that a pattern presenting a higher awareness of ICT literacy and frequency of computer use showed better academic achievements and was likely to prefer to choose engineering-related majors.
