A Study on the Optimal Regional Placement of Performance Facilities (공연시설의 지역별 적정배치에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the current status of the South Korean performance facilities was analyzed, and then the key tasks for the improvement of such facilities were identified. The study results show that the country's performance facilities are disproportionately concentrated in the Seoul region whereas the lack of performance facilities per unit area in the other regional provinces considerably lowers the accessibility of such facilities to the local residents. As part of the measures to solve such problems, this study proposed the development of a system that would enable the optimal placement of such performance facilities. It also proposed the development of another system that can simulate and suggest an optimal performance type for a given region because the ultimate goal of this study was to raise the utilization rate and financial self-reliance of the performance facilities in South Korea.

  • This study explores school location, school environment, educational conditions, and appropriate scale of schools in the context of Sejong City's development area and identifies effective school establishment plans based on the analysis of the needs of the educational community. The research questions for this study include, first, what is the change trend in the number of students as a result of the opening of schools in the development area of Sejong City to the present, and what differences are there between Sejong and other new cities? Second, what challenges arise in school location due to the occurrence of oversized schools and undergraduate institutions? Third, what challenges arise in school location that would limit the ability to create a safe school environment? Fourth, what aspects need to be improved in school location decisions to promote proper placement? A survey was conducted among parents and faculty members to collect data. The findings revealed that first, when establishing a school, identifying an appropriate location for the school was the top priority of the respondents. The second was the proximity of the school to dense housing, with a parent drop zone next to the school site. Third, to address the issue of lack of playgrounds and special class and care classes, respondents called for various measures such as securing school sites within a certain area. Finally, integrated operation schools and school facilities are required in preparation for decreasing school-age populations due to low birth rates.

  • 지도 점검이란 경비업체의 불법행위를 예방하거나 경비업법 위반사항을 적발, 단속하는 것이라 할 수 있지만 이러한 역할 뿐만이 아니라 "경비업법"의 기본취지인 경비업의 육성 및 발전을 할 수 있도록 적정한 행정지도를 병행해야 하고, 감독자의 객관적 판단으로 올바른 행정목적을 달성할 수 있게 경비업자를 견인해야 할 필요성이 있다. 때문에 이 연구에서는 사전교육의 필요성과 사전서류검토 후 현장에서 감독으로의 역할, 현장 지도점검 시 담당 경찰관의 주관적 행정처분에 대한 개선방안, 현장 지도 점검 시 집중적 단속에 대한 개선방안, 민간경비원의 신분증으로서 경비원 신임교육 이수증의 활용방안을 개선방안으로 제시하였다.

  • This study suggests 3 different elements to develop a rail station-influenced area effectively. Above all, several typical models of TOD (Transit Oriented Development)are suggested. They consider the land use types around a rail station, characteristics of a rail station whether it serves a single line or multiple lines. a method of developing a rail station-influenced area. Secondly, the optimal level of service is suggested for connection facility and access modes. Finally, the allocation criteria of on-and-off facility to provide convenient transfer activity.

A Study on Container Terminal Layout and the Productivity of Container Crane During Ship Turnaround Time (컨테이너 터미널 배치 형태와 본선작업 생산성에 대한 연구)

  • In smart ports and port automation, the number of vertically deployed container terminals is growing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the productivity of horizontally arranged and vertically arranged container terminals by comparing the main ship operation time, and to recommend future strategies for increasing the operational efficiency of vertically configured container terminals. To achieve our goal, we chose two terminals representating each type, and collected berth allocation status data from 2018 to 2022. Then we analyzed the data using the Accelerated Failure Time (AFT) model, a parametric survival analysis technique. Under the assumption that the working circumstances of the C/C (Container Crane) are the same, we find that the productivity of on-board work of the vertically placed container terminal is higher than that of the horizontally placed container terminal. Our result also shows that the productivity is reduced during the COVID-19 period and the European ships show lower onboard work time. On the basis of these findings, we propose strategies to improve the productivity of vertical container terminals.

On an Optimal Artillery Deployment Plan (포대의 적정배치 방안)

  • This paper offers an optimal artillery deployment scheme for the defending unit when two forces are confronted at a military front line. When proposed gun sites, types and number of guns as well as targets are given, the solutions of the two models in this paper direct each (unit of) guns to a certain location. The aim of the models is to maximize the number of guns which can hit important targets. Unlike widely used target assignment models, these models are formulated using the set covering problem concept. These models do not contain probabilities and time. Thus they are simple as models, easy in implementation, and yield tractable solutions. The dynamic and probabilistic feature of battle situations is implicitly reflected on the models. The first model is for the case that enemies' approaching route is clearly predictable, while the second model is for the unpredictable approaching route case.

  • 최근 도시유역의 홍수들이 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 2010년 2011년에는 서울 지역에서 연이은 도시 홍수피해가 발생하였고, 2015년 미국 South Carolina, 프랑스, 중국 지역에서 많은 홍수 피해가 발생 했다. 도시유역에서 홍수피해가 증가하고 있는 주요 원인은 기후변화로 인한 극한 홍수의 증가, 도시화로 인한 불투수면적의 증가, 배수관망의 통수능 부족 등이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 앞서 제시한 세가지 원인들 중 불투수면적의 증가 및 배수관망의 통수능 부족 부분에 대하여 기존 연구와는 다른 시각으로 접근하여 도시유역의 홍수유출 저감방안에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 서울의 신월 배수분구를 대상으로 첫 번째 불투수지역들 중 강우발생시 홍수유출에 직접적인 영향 미치는DCIA(Directly Connected Impervious Area)지역과 IIA(Isolated Impervious Area)를 분리하여 홍수유출 특성을 분석하였고, 두 번째는 배수 관망의 통수능 부족 문제를 해결하기 위해서 관망의 통수능을 증가시키는 방법이 아닌 홍수 유출을 저감할 수 있는 적정 배수관망 레이아웃을 산정한 후 이를 SWMM 모형에 적용하여 기존 배수관망 시스템과 적정 배수관망 시스템의 홍수저감량을 비교하였다. 마지막으로는 첫번째 방법과 두 번째 방법을 동시에 적용하였을 때의 홍수저감량을 검토하여 최적의 도시유역의 홍수유출 저감방법을 제시하고자 한다.

Planning Plan for Special Education Subjects by Analyzing the Factor of Selecting Special Education Institutions (특수교육기관 선택 요인 분석을 통한 특수교육대상자 배치계획)

  • In this research, we analyze the factors considered by parents of subjects of special education when selecting special educational institutions for children, and present proposals for improving the placement plan of special subjects, The results are as follows. First, for special education subjects, a considerable number of kindergarten processes are required for compulsory education, and special education subjects are selected for elementary school entrance. Second, the factors of choosing the special educational institution of parents of special education subjects are the expertise of the teacher and the operation of the curriculum, the type and extent of child disability, the distance to school and the way of commuting, educational facilities, Treatment room etc). Thirdly, it was found that parents' choices are the largest among schools in the school area, as to how special education institutions of special education subjects are arranged. For proper placement planning, it is necessary to accurately grasp the number of subjects for special education, so the selection time of the subjects of special education shall be the process of kindergarten at the latest, the disparity of special education institutions and the disparity of educational facilities It is necessary to set school books to solve it.

Minimizing Redundant Route Nodes in USN by Integrating Spatially Weighted Parameters: Case Study for University Campus (가중치가 부여된 공간변수에 의거하여 USN 루트노드 최소화 방안 -대학 캠퍼스를 사례로-)

  • The present USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Networks) node deployment practices have many limitations in terms of positional connectivity. The aim of this research was to minimize a redundancy of USN route nodes, by integrating spatially weighted parameters such as visibility, proximity to cell center, road density, building density and cell overlapping ratio into a comprehensive GIS database. This spatially weighted approach made it possible to reduce the number of route nodes (11) required in the study site as compared to that of the grid network method (24). The field test for RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) indicates that the spatially weighted deployment could comply with the quality assurance standard for node connectivity, and that reduced route nodes do not show a significant degree of signal fluctuation for different site conditions. This study demonstrated that the spatially weighted deployment can be used to minimize a redundancy of USN route nodes in a routine manner, and the quantitative evidence removing a redundancy of USN route nodes could be utilized as major tools to ensure the strong signal in the USN, that is frequently encountered in real applications.

A Improvement Plan for Fire Fighting Activity of Rack- Type Warehouse Based on Case Study and Field Interview (사례분석과 현장인터뷰를 통한 적층형 대형창고 소방활동 개선방안 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest a systematic improvement plan for strengthening fire fighting ability of domestic rack- type warehouse buildings. Method: A fire case of small warehouse with sandwich panel structure and four design review of large warehouse with fire endurance structure were analyzed. Also, interviewed a group of 11 fire fighters who had 20 years field experience. Results: A provision of mobile equipment for initial fire fighting, accessibility of more than three sides, installation of internal entrance windows, proper placement of outdoor fire fighting equipment, image processing of fire site informations, and provide more incentives on the field commander are main factors of improvement plan. Conclusion: Effective standard operation procedures (SOP) and safety standards should be established and applied for each stage of the dispatch and on-site response considering the fire characteristics and risk factors of each warehouse by scale.
