Design of on Adaptive Current Controller for a PMSM AC Servo Motor (PMSM 교류 서보모터의 적응형 전류 제어기 설계)

  • To improve the capability of instantaneous torque control, a design method of an MRAC-based adaptive current controller for a PMSM servo motor is proposed. In the synchronous frame current controller, a new control inputs can be obtained through the decoupling compensation. Using this, a desired controller bandwidth can be assigned However, the control performance may be degraded due to disturbances caused by the parameter variations or dead time of the switch. To improve these drawbacks, an adaptive current controller is proposed and the design method is obtained using the hyperstability theory. The asymptotic stability is proved and the effectiveness is verified through simulations and experiments using DSP TMS320C31.

  • A novel switching differentiator-based backstepping controller for uncertain pure-feedback nonlinear systems is proposed. Using asymptotically convergent switching differentiator, time-derivatives of the virtual controls are directly estimated in every backstepping design steps. As a result, the control law has an extremely simple form and asymptotical stability of the tracking error is guaranteed regardless of parametric or unstructured uncertainties and unmatched disturbances in the considered system. It is required no universal approximators such as neural networks or fuzzy logic systems that are adaptively tuned online to cope with system uncertainties. Simulation results show the simplicity and performance of the proposed controller.

  • A connection admission control scheme is proposed that can seamlessly support QoS in face of handoff in mobile packet networks. The proposed scheme is based on the adaptive time-selective bandwidth reservation with the reduced signaling and computational overhead. The reservation parameters are adjusted dynamically to cope with user mobility. Throughout the computer simulations, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated. As a result, it is shown that the proposed scheme reduces handoff call blocking probability remarkably, while other parameters (new call blocking probability and bandwidth utilization efficiency) are slightly deteriorated.

Adaptive Observer Based Longitudinal Control of Vehicles

  • In this paper, an observer-based adaptive controller is proposed to control the longitudinal motion of vehicles. The standard gradient method will be used to estimate the vehicle parameters such as mass, time constant, etc. The nonlinear model between the driving force and the vehicle acceleration will be chosen to design the state observer for the vehicle velocity and acceleration. It will be shown that the proposed observer is exponentially stable, and that the adaptive controller proposed in this paper is stable by the Lyapunov function candidate. It will be proved that the errors of the relative distance, velocity and acceleration converge to zero asymptotically fast, and that the overall system is also asymptotically stable. The simulation results are presented to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 뉴로-퍼지 제어기를 이용하여 밀폐공간에서의 능동 소음 제어기를 구현하였다. 능동 소음 제어기는 잡음에 의하여 왜곡된 신호로부터 잡음을 제거하여 원 신호를 복원하는 제어시스템이다. 일반적으로 잡음의 특성이 시간에 따라 변화라고, 전달특성이 비선형적이므로 고정된 제어기에 의해서는 제어할 수 없다. 이 논문에서는 뉴로-퍼지 제어기를 사용하여 파라미터를 오차 역전파 학습을 통하여 변화시킴으로써 잡응의 특성에 효과적을 적응하는 능동 소음 제어기를 구성하였다. 원신호는 음성신호를 사용하였으며 실제 소음과 소음 전달경로인 1차경로를 통과한 왜곡된 소음은 실험에 의해 얻은 데이터를 사용하였다. 제어신호의 전달경로인 2차경로는 100[kHz]에서 1[kHz]까지의 주파수 특성을 고려하여 curve fitting 방법을 사용하여 4차로 모델링한 결과를 사용하였다. 제안한 능동 소음 제어기의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

Automatic reentry of deepsea riser by adaptive control (적응제어에 의한 대수심 라이저의 리엔트리)

  • This paper presents automatic reentry of a deepsea reser by adaptive control. Reentry is one of the major pro blems regarding a deepsea riser. In the reentry operation, the lower end of riser must be accurately positioned over the tarket point on the seabed. But the deepsea riser shows complex elastic response due to flexibility and nonlinearity of the riser dynamics and the required positioning accuracy is high. Moreover, elastic deformation must by controlled for securing structural integrity. In adaptive control, uncertainly known parameters like added mass and drag coefficient in the riser dynamics are identified and control forces at the floating body and the riser are calculated simultaneously. An Adaptive algorithm for MIMO linear discrete time system without requiring a persistent excitation is adopted in this study. The effectiveness of adaptive control logic is tested by numerical simulation and model experiment. The designed control system shows good overall performances, so that the present study can be applied to the control of the deepsea riser.

  • 본 논문에서는 초정밀 위치 결정 시스템에서 보다 정확한 제어를 위한 새로운 제어기를 설계한다. 외란을 고려한 시스템의 경우, 환경이 달라질 때마다 측정 노이즈를 정확하게 알아내기란 쉽지 않다. 따라서 측정 장치의 정확성을 나타낼 수 있도록 칼만 필터추정기와 퍼지 이론을 이용하여 정확한 측정 오차값을 구한다. 이때, 파라미터 불확실성과 의란에 강인한 제어를 위해 슬라이딩 모드 제어기와 LQ 최적 제어기가 적용된다. 최종적으로, 제안된 제어기와 시간 최적 제어기의 성능비교를 통하여 보다 강인하고 안정된 성능개선을 증명한다.

A Study on Performance Evaluation of HM-Net Adaptation System Using the State Level Sharing (상태레벨 공유를 이용한 HM-Net 적응화 시스템의 성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 KM-Net(Hidden Markov Network)을 다양한 태스크에의 적용과 화자의 특성을 효과적으로 나타내기 위해 HM-Net 음성인식 시스템에 MLLR(Maximum Likelihood Linear Regression) 적응방법을 도입하였으며, HM-Net 학습 알고리즘을 개량하여 회귀클래스 생성방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 PDT-SSS(Phonetic Decision Tree-based Successive State Splitting) 알고리즘의 문맥방향 상태분할에 의한 상태레벨 공유를 이용한 방법으로 새로운 화자로부터 문맥정보와 적응화 데이터의 발성 양에 의존하여 결정된 많은 적응 파라미터들을(평균, 분산) 자유롭게 제어할 수 있게 된다. 제안방법의 유효성을 확인하기 위해 국어공학센터(KLE) 452 음성 데이터와 항공편 예약관련 연속음성을 대상으로 인식실험을 수행한 결과, 전체적으로 음소인식의 경우 평균 34-37%, 단어인식의 경우 평균 9%, 연속음성인식의 경우 평균 7-8%의 인식성능 향상을 각각 보였다. 또한 적응화 데이터의 양에 따른 인식성능 비교에서, 제안방법을 적용한 인식 시스템이 적응 데이터의 양이 적은 경우에도 향상된 인식률을 보였으며. 잡음을 부가한 음성에 대한 적응화 실험에서도 향상된 인식성능을 보여 MLLR 적응방법의 특성을 만족하였다. 따라서 MLLR 적응방법을 도입한 HM-Net 음성인식 시스템에 제안한 회귀클래스 생성방법이 유효함을 확인한 수 있었다.

Adaptive Macroblock Quantization Method for H.264 Codec (H.264 코덱을 위한 적응적 매크로블록 양자화 방법)

  • This paper presents a new adaptive macroblock quantization algorithm which generates the output bits corresponding to the target bit budget. The H.264 standard uses various coding modes and optimization methods to improve the compression performance, which makes it difficult to control the amount of the generated traffic accurately. In the proposed scheme, linear regression analysis is used to analyze the relationship between the bit rate of each macroblock and the quantization parameter and to predict the MAD values. Using the predicted values, the quantization parameter of each macroblock is determined by the Lagrange multiplier method and then modified according to the difference between the bit budget and the generated bits. It is shown by experimental results that the new algorithm can generate output bits accurately corresponding to the target bit rates.

  • This paper investigates the design scheme of fuzzy-based adaptive controller to give adaptability for controlling nonlinear systems. For this, a nonlinear system is linearized by the several subsystems depending on the operating point or parameter changes. Then, the sub-controller is designed by linear control scheme for each subsystem and the sub-controllers are fused with each gain of sub-controllers using fuzzy rules. The proposed method is applied to an inverted pole system which has structurally instability and nonlinearity, and simulation works are shown to illustrate the effectiveness by comparison with the interpolation-based adaptive Controller.
