A Study of Deferred Commitment for Transaction Management in Multidatabase Systems (멀티 데이터베이스 시스템에서 트랜잭션 관리를 위한 지연완료 기법 연구)

  • In this thesis, we propose a concurrency control scheme which schedules global transactions in multidatabase systems Unlike other scheme which commit global transactions as soon as they have finished their execution, this scheme has attempted to delay them if their exist another global transactions that should be proceeded. Owing to the deferred commitment, the number of global restarts could be greatly reduced. This scheme's performance gain increased through simulations in case more than one LDBS employ timestamp ordering(TO) as a local concurrency control scheme.

The Compaction Characteristics Analysis of Domestic River Sands (국내 강모래의 다짐특성 분석)

  • Tests are conducted to analyze the compaction characteristics of domestic river sand used frequently for backfill in construction of electrical pipeline. As a result of test, the range of specific gravity of sand is found to be in between 2.63 and 2.67, and of maximum dry weight of sand is in between $1.70g/cm^3\;and\;1.86g/cm^3$. Also, the optimum moisture content is found to be in between 11.3% and 13.8%. The variability of compaction degree with respect to compaction energy is well captured by hyperbolic function.

  • In this paper, a HediaFLO/GPS/Bluetooth antenna is designed for mobile handset with metallic chassis. It is consisted of two metal plates with 7.6 mm gap, a connection plate and source between two plates. It can be analyzed as U-slot antenna of $0.5\;{\lambda}$, array of shorted patches each application bands. Simulated and measured performance of the proposed antenna show that it has enough possibility to reuse metallic chassis itself as radiator without any additional space for antenna.

A Case Study on the Implementation of a Graphic Special Effect Engine Based on a Particle System (파티클시스템 기반의 그래픽 특수효과 엔진의 구현 사례)

  • Recently graphic hardwares have been developed remarkably, and domestic and foreign game users have demanded realistic and spectacular game graphics. Graphic special effects are one of methods to satisfy these requests, but we have not known any cases where graphic special effects are general and thus reusable. Based on the implementation of our graphic special effect engine and its application cases, this paper describes how to easily exploit graphic special effects in developing games. We define a standard file format in which special effect data can be saved and loaded, and thus those data can be reused easily. We also show that developers can test or preview special effects by exploiting our graphic special effect tool even before producing games.

  • Precast/Prestressed concrete segmental bridges with moderate range of span length normally have a constant section height for economic segment manufacturing. Inside sectional dimension is often controlled for design of non-prismatic section between supports when variable stiffness is required. It is usual, in the preliminary design stage, to adopt trial bridge sections by past experience or by approximately estimated member forces. Three bridge models of different member stiffness have been selected to investigate flexural stiffness effects on member forces for preliminary design stage. The selected bridge stiffness has been determined by the flexibility index from review of the practically usable sections.

  • 최근 정보통신기술의 비약적 발전에 따라 문서 제작 과정 또한 디지털 방식의 형태가 주를 이루게 되었다. 하지만 이와 더불어 문서를 통한 개인 정보 유출의 문제 또한 대두되게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이미지 형식의 문서의 유출 방지를 위해 광학문자인식(OCR)을 활용한 문자인식 기능과 개인정보 검출 기능을 통합적으로 수행 한하여 기존 OCR엔진과의 차별점을 두었다. 또한 원하는 경로의 파일 탐색을 가능하도록 하고, 선택한 경로에 저장되어 있는 이미지파일 내의 검출 문자들을 정규표현식을 사용해 특정한 개인정보 패턴과 매칭하여 문서 내 포함된 개인정보를 반환하여 출력한다. 이러한 개인정보 검출 결과 중요 개인정보가 포함된 파일을 사용자에게 별도로 통보하도록 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 개인정보 검출 과정의 번거로움을 극복하여 사용자의 편의 향상과 더불어 문서를 통한 개인정보의 유출을 사전에 방지 할 수 있도록 하였다.

원자로냉각제 정화용 고온흡착재 개발

  • 약 30$0^{\circ}C$, 160 kg/$cm^2$의 원자로냉각재계통에서 사용이 가능한 $^{60}$Co 제거용 고온흡착제를 얻기 위하여, ZrO$_2$를 zirconyl nitrate를 출발물질로 하여 졸-겔법으로, aluminum isopropoxide를 출발 물질로 하여 A1$_2$O$_3$를, aluminum isopropoxide와 titanium tetraisopropoxide를 출발물질로하여 TiO$_2$-A1$_2$O$_3$를, aluminum isopropoxide와 zirconium propoxide를 출발물질로 하여 ZrO$_2$-A1$_2$O$_3$를 금속알콕사이드 가수분해법으로 제조하였다. 제조한 흡착제는 600~140$0^{\circ}C$의 온도로 하소 하였으며, 결정전이, 열적특성, 비표면적 등의 물성변화를 알아보기 위하여 X선회절, 적외선분광분석, 열분석, 전자현미경 관찰, BET 비표면적 등을 측정하였다. 또한, 고온수에서 이들 흡착제의 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착특성을 autoclave를 이용한 회분식 흡착실험으로 알아보았다. 이들 흡착제 제조시 하소온도에 따른 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착량, $Al_2$O$_3$ 흡착제 제조시 pH 변화에 따른 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착량과 TiO$_2$-A1$_2$O$_3$ 흡착제 제조시 TiO$_2$ 함량에 따른 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착량과 25$0^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 ZrO$_2$$Al_2$O$_3$의 표면에 생성된 코발트 화합물을 XPS와 EPMA로 부터 확인하였다.

Investigation of Leachate Leakage in Waste Landfill by Tracer Test (추적자시험에 의한 폐기물매립장 침출수 누출조사)

  • Tracer tests were conducted to investigate leachate outflow through damaged parts on HDPE liner subject to puncture loads in a closed landfill. Natural gradient tracer test was used with two different types of tracers, iodide and Rhodamine WT. Tracers were selected under careful consideration of chemical components of leachate. Five injection wells with fourteen detection points were installed and operated throughout the test site. In this study, it is found that Iodide and Rhodamine WT are applicable and effective for leachate leakage investigation on waste landfills. Also, it is concluded that considerable amount of leachate was leaked through the rain water drain box and side wall of drain box.

Object-Tracking System Using Combination of CAMshift and Kalman filter Algorithm (CAMshift 기법과 칼만 필터를 결합한 객체 추적 시스템)

  • In this paper, we describe a strongly improved tracking method using combination of CAMshift and Kalman filter algorithm. CAMshift algorithm doesn't consider the object's moving direction and velocity information when it set the search windows for tracking. However if Kalman filter is combined with CAMshift for setting the search window, it can accurately predict the object's location with the object's present location and velocity information. By using this prediction before CAMshift algorithm, we can track fast moving objects successfully. Also in this research, we show better tracking results than conventional approaches which make use of single color information by using both color information of HSV and YCrCb simultaneously. This modified approach obtains more robust color segmentation than others using single color information.

  • We show the mixed finite element method which induces solutions that has the same order of errors for both the gradient of the solution and the solution itself. The technique to construct an efficient reusable matrix is suggested. Two families of mixed finite element methods are introduced with an automatic generating technique for matrix with my order of basis. The generated matrix by this technique has more accurate values and is a sparse matrix. This new technique is applied to solve a minimal surface problem.
