Study on the Development of Congestion Index for Expressway Service Areas Based on Floating Population Big Data (유동인구 빅데이터 기반 고속도로 휴게소 혼잡지표 개발 연구)

  • Service areas in expressways are very important facilities in terms of efficient expressway operation and the convenience of users. It needs a traffic management strategy to inform drivers in advance about congestion in service areas so as to distribute users of service areas. But due to the lack of sensors and data on numbers of people in the service areas, congestion in service areas had not been measured and managed appropriately. In this study, a congestion index for service areas was developed using telecommunication floating population big data. Two alternative indices (i.e., density of service areas and floating population V/c of service areas) were developed. Finally, the floating population V/c of service areas was selected as a congestion index for service areas for reasons of the ease of understanding and comparison.

  • Advertisements in modern era are not intended to be consumed only as commercial purposes, but consumed also as cultural and artistic purposes. Advertising contents' success depends on Semiotic codes revealed in advertising texts. Advertising scholar Ozoh (1998) argued that perspectives for advertising are divided into two perspective, one as marketing tool perspective and the other as communication processes perspective. Advertising planning, advertising management, advertising, and advertising evaluation of marketing perspective are significantly different from those of communication perspective. Two perspectives of advertising present various debates on what contents of advertising messages are and how advertising messages are made up. In this research manuscripts, we discuss story telling as communication tool of advertising text in terms of cultural semiotics. That is, meaning value of goods is so well revealed in use value of goods that they satisfy consumers' needs, we analyze how they satisfy consumers' needs in semiotic(symbolic) process. We apply Gremas's semantic model to coffee advertisements in France and Korea, and analyze various differences between differentiation strategies of French coffee advertisements and those of Korean coffee advertisements in terms of semiotic perspective.

국민생활수준(國民生活水準)의 국제비교분석(國際比較分析)

  • 본고(本稿)는 국민생활수준(國民生活水準)에 영향을 주는 주요 거시(巨視) 및 미시지표(微視指標)의 국제비교를 통하여 우리나라가 추구해 온 개발전략(開發戰略)을 재조명(再照明)하고 우리의 현재좌표(現在座標)를 검토코자 집필되었다. 자료(資料)의 제한(制限), 국제비교(國際比較)에서 흔히 제기되는 평가(評價)의 문제 등에도 불구하고 국제비교분석(國際比較分析)은 유용한 수단(手段)이었으며 다음과 같은 정책적(政策的) 함의(含意)를 얻을 수 있었다. 지금까지 한국(韓國)이 추구한 개발정책(開發政策)의 역점(力點)은 대체적으로 경제성장(經濟成長)에 두어져 왔었다고 분석되고 있다. 이는 높은 경제성장률(經濟成長率)이나 1인당(人當) 소득(所得)의 지속적인 증가를 통하여 소비수준(消費水準)의 제고와 소비구조(消費構造)의 개선 등 국민생활수준(國民生活水準)의 향상으로 연결되고 있다. 더불어 소득분배(消費分配)를 위시하여 보건(保健), 영양지표(營養指標) 등 사회지표(社會指標) 측면에서도 개선되는 추이를 보이고 있는 것으로 평가된다. 이와 같은 개발정책(開發政策)의 성공적(成功的) 결실(結實)은 국민복지증진(國民福祉增進)에 크게 이바지한 것임에 틀림없으나 사회복지향상(社會福祉向上)을 위한 적극적인 노력은 미흡하였다. 지속적인 고도성장(高度成長)의 결과 국민생활향상(國民生活向上)을 위한 기본요건(基本要件)인 1인당(人當) 소득(所得)이 크게 증가되어 빈곤인구(貧困人口)가 꾸준히 줄어들고 있으나 생활(生活)을 둘러싸고 있는 경제(經濟) 사회적(社會的) 환경은 상대적으로 열악(劣惡)해지게 되었다. 앞으로도 산업화(産業化)와 도시화(都市化)가 계속될 전망임에 비추어 국민생활(國民生活)과 직접적으로 관련되는 생활여건(生活與件)의 개선(改善)에 대한 각별한 정책적(政策的) 배려(配慮)가 요청된다고 판단된다. 따라서 경제(經濟)의 안정적인 운영과 함께 국민생활수준(國民生活水準)의 내실(內實) 있는 향상을 기해 나가자면 고도성장(高度成長)이 준 부작용(副作用)을 극소화해 나가야 할 것이다. 삶의 질(質)에 대한 수용할 만한 국민적(國民的) 욕구(慾求)를 과감히 받아들여 사회개발(社會開發)에 돌려지는 공적지출(公的支出)을 꾸준히 늘려나가되 일본(日本)의 경험이 시사하는 것처럼 비용효과적(費用效果的)인 지출이 되도록 제도적 장치가 강구될 필요가 있을 것이다. 국민생활수준(國民生活水準)의 개선은 장기적(長期的)인 시각(視角)에서 비전과 일관성을 지니고 추진되어야 할 성질을 지니고 있기 때문이다.

  • Container terminals need decisions in the course of daily-24 hour and 365 day - operations, and all these decisions are inter-related. The ultimate goal of Decision Support System is to minimize ship loading/unloading time, resources used to handle the workload, and congestion on the roads inside the terminal. It is also to make the best possible use of the storage space available. Therefore, the necessity of decision support tools are emphasized to enhance the operational efficiency of container shipping terminals more, because of limits and complexity of these decisions. So, in thia paper, we draw evaluation items for Decision Support Systems and suggest optimization strategy of evaluation items which have the greatest influence on Decision Support system, that is, yard stacking allocation, RTGC deployment among blocks, and YT allocation to QCs. We also estimate the efficiency of Decision Support System design by simulation using G2 language, comparing ship loading/unloading time.

  • As recent traffic policy focuses on reduction of congestion and environmental contamination, with a catch phrase, 'Green Traffic', Low Carbon Green Growth' and 'Sustainable Development', introducing the new eco-friendly transport means including railway has been emerging as critical issue. Included in the new transport means are BRT, Bimodal Tram and LRT, and this study was intended to evaluate and analyze Bimodal, among others, which generates less emission, noise and vibration thanks to hybrid type traction system employed by Bimodal Tram, which is considered a future-oriented system because of eco-friendly features and cost efficiency as well as punctuality and convenient accessibility to bus. Thus in this study, appropriateness of Bimodal Tram comparing to other system(BRT) was suggested, using conversion traffic from the road, traffic speed and CO2 emission at the metropolitan area and large provincial areas as the barometer in evaluation, and furthermore, the measures applicable to introduction strategy that will meet various functional aspects in urban area in the coming days were developed.

  • Recently, 'Government 3.0' has become the topic since the inauguration of the new government. According to Government 3.0 Promotion Master Plan, this means providing bilateral customized administrative service based on the values of opening-up, sharing, and cooperation for the individuals of the people. Currently, if disaster victims, who have private property damaged by natural disasters such as typhoon and torrential rain, want to receive disaster relief service supports such as financial support, tax cut, reduction in electric and communication charges, they have to visit each of applicable organizations and apply for the relief service supports. The application forms and procedures are so diverse and complex that disaster victims undergo many discomforts. So this thesis established the solution of residents' discomforts and the providing of practical benefits through disaster victims' one stop application for service as the research objective. Accordingly, the solution plan was concretely presented through preparing the relief service promotion strategies comprising the establishment of administrative service supporting system and the preparation of legal and institutional device, the establishment of computing system for one stop service and the reinforcement of general publicity for successful promotion of cooperation projects.

  • The Bluetooth is expected to be one of the most popular wireless telecommunication technology in the near future, and the protocol stack is essential to providing the various services with the Bluetooth-embedding systems or devices. The Bluetooth specification is an open, global specification defining the complete system, however, the protocol stack is usually implemented partly in hardware and partly as software running on its system, with different implementations partitioning the functionality between hardware and software in different ways. I investigate how to design and implement the Bluetooth protocol stack according to its specification. I focus on the HCI and the lower layer of the software protocol stack as a basic step for the development of our own protocol stack. As a result, paper provides how to partitioning the role of HCI layer, and how to implement the relationship between HCI packets, it's functionality and the flow control. Experiments show the discovering other Bluetooth devices and their connection. Furthermore experiments demonstrate the proper operation of data communication between the Bluetooth modules.

  • 최근 국제적으로 물관리의 차세대 개념으로서 지능형 물관리(Smart Water Grid)가 활발하게 논의되고 있다. 우리나라에서도 일부 학자들을 중심으로 이에 대한 개념이 도입되고 있다. 현재까지 정리된 지능형 물관리의 개념은 최근 급성장한 정보통신기술을 활용하여 기존에 비효율적으로 운영되는 물관리의 시스템을 획기적으로 개선하자는 것이다. 따라서 이론적으로는 물의 생산, 정수, 배송 그리고 이용과 처리에 이르는 전 과정을 실시간으로 통합하여 관리하는 것이 가능하다. 국제적으로는 IBM과 Siemens 등과 같이 정보통신과 물산업을 선도하는 기업 주도의 기술개발이 진행되는 단계이다. 2000년대 초반에는 용수수급의 효율화를 위한 장치개발에 주력하였으나, 현재에는 용수수급과 관련된 제반사항에 대한 기술적 통합시스템 구축으로 적용범위를 넓히고 있다. 우리나라에서도 도시인프라 자료의 통합관리와 수질 모니터링 시스템 구축이 추진되었으며, 2010년 12월 발표된 새만금종합개발계획에서는 본격적으로 활용을 검토하고 있다. 그러나 지능형 물관리의 기술적 통합시스템 전략은 곧 심각한 제도적 장벽에 직면할 것이다. 아무리 우수한 기술적 시스템이 개발된다고 하여도 제도적 기반의 구축이 없으면 국민경제에 도움이 되는 현실적용에는 한계가 있다. 기존에 확립된 물관리의 제도적 기반으로는 한정된 지역의 좁은 영역에서 활용될 수밖에 없다. 이것은 우리나라의 물관리가 기본적으로 법적, 제도적, 행정적 차원에서 분리되어 운영되고 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 지능형 물관리가 지향하는 기술적인 통합시스템 구축이 당면할 제도적 한계를 도출하고 이를 극복하기 위한 정책적 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 2009년 국회에 제출된 물관리기본법(안)에 지능형 물관리의 개념을 도입하는 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

The Optimal Design and Economic Evaluation of a Stand-Alone RES Energy System for Residential, Agricultural and Commercial Sectors (신재생에너지 기반 독립 에너지공급 시스템 최적 설계 및 에너지수요 부문별 경제성 평가)

  • Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by fossil fuels consumption is one of the challenging issues worldwide. Renewable energy source (RES)-based energy supply system can be a promising alternative to the current fossil fuel-based system. In this study, we propose an optimization approach for designing a stand-alone hybrid energy supply system using RES and evaluating economic performances of the energy systems. The suggested approach is used to answer the questions; i) what technology is suitable to various demand sectors in different regions, and ii) how does it cost to meet the demand in term of the levelized costs of energy (LCOE). We illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach by applying to the design problem of energy supply systems for residential, agricultural and commercial sectors of Korea. As the results of LCOE analysis, for the residential sector has the LCOE ranging of $0.37~$0.44/kWh, the agricultural sector of $0.15~$0.61/kWh and the commercial sector of $0.12~$0.28/kWh.
