A 2(pedagogical agent: with vs. without) × 2(on-screen text: with vs. without) between-subject design was used in this study to investigate the effects of pedagogical agent and redundant on-screen text on video learning. In the case of the educational video without redundant on-screen text, there was no difference in social presence, satisfaction, and intention to continue learning regardless of the presence of a pedagogical agent. However, when the educational video contained redundant on-screen text, participants who watched educational video with pedagogical agent perceived higher social presence, satisfaction and intention to continue. In terms of academic achievement, no difference was found whether redundant on-screen text was contained or not. It supports some of the previous studies on the reverse-redundancy effects, suggesting that the inclusion of redundant text does not necessarily cause the reduction of learning outcomes. Video learning shows a higher dropout rate than face-to-face learning. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand how to strengthen interactions with learners and motivate them to keep themselves engaged in learning. This study discussed whether pedagogical agent and on-screen text are factors that induce continuous participation of learners in video learning.

분리막을 이용한 분리시술중 투과증발은 고분자막의 선정에 따른 선택성내지 투과효율의 다양서으로 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 고분자막이 막의 기계적강도가 무기막에 비해 약하다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이런 단점을 보완하기 위한 방법의 하나로 유무기 복합막을 제작하였으며 이를 이용한 투과증발실험을 수행하였다.

Membrane-based separation processes are receiving increasing attention in the scientific community and industry since they provide a desirable alternative to processes that are not easy to achieve by conventional separation technologies. In particular, gas separation using polymeric membranes have annually grown so fast owing to advantages such as easy installation, no moving parts, small footprint and low energy process. The key element is definitely a polymer membrane exhibiting high permeability and high selectivity to compete with other gas separation technologies. Current polymer membranes used for commercial gas separation are a family of hydrocarbon polymers for hydrogen separation, air separation and carbon dioxide separation from natural gas sweetening. Relatively, gas or vapor separation properties of fluoropolymers are not known so much as compared with those of hydrocarbon polymers. Accordingly, in this study, membranes prepared from amorphous perfluoropolymers are of particular interest because of the unique properties of these polymers. The advantages offered by these amorphous perfluoropolymers for use in gas and vapor separation will be discussed. In addition, membrane properties and separation performance will be compared with other membranes available on the market.

This study examined the ordering effects of caption use on the English learning of aviation students. This study focused on the use of captions and the students' self-confidence, interest, and motivation for English learning. Sixty participants were divided randomly into the Caption 1 group (n = 30) and Caption 2 group (n = 30). During 16 weeks, the Caption 1 group was exposed to captioned media first, and then the same media with no captions was provided. The Caption 2 group was exposed to the non-captioned media first and then provided with captions on the second exposure. A survey was given to assess the attitude of each group to English learning. The survey results showed that all participants revealed moderately positive satisfaction on the use of captions in EFL classes. Regarding the ordering effects of caption use, the findings showed that the first exposure to the captions results in the students' self-confidence and interest. The second exposure to the captions, however, was beneficial for improving the students' motivation. From these findings, several pedagogical implications can be suggested.

높은 이온전도도와 충분한 기계적 강도, 전해질 누수가 적은 새로운 형태의 고분자 전해질막(pore-gel SPE)을 연구 개발하였다. 다공성 PVDF-HFP 고분자막의 기공 내에 전해질 용액을 흡수시킨 후 막 내에서 젤화를 진행시켰다. 전해질 용액은 2:2:1의 비를 갖는 PC/EC/DMA에 1M SA(Salicylic acid)를 용해하고 여기에 고분자막을 용해시킬 수 있는 아세톤을 첨가하였다. 초음파를 이용함으로써 고분자막의 용액 흡수율을 증가시키고 또 고분자막에서 젤화를 촉진 시킬 수 있었다. 이렇게 젤화한 막의 이온전도도는 젤화 전 막보다 $1{\sim}2.2$ 배 향상되었고, 인장강도는 gel-type SPE 보다 40 배 증가하였으며, 전해질 누수실험결과 hybrid-type SPE는 13%의 누수를 보였으나 본 연구의 막(pore-gel SPE)은 6%로 감소함을 보였다.

This paper presents an integrated solution for the content-based news video indexing and the retrieval. Currently, it is impossible to automatically index a general video, but we can index a specific structural video such as news videos. Our proposed model extracts automatically the key frames by using the structured knowledge of news and consists of the news item segmentation, caption recognition and search browser modules. We present above three modules in the following: the news event segmentation module recognizes an anchor-person shot based on face recognition, and then its news event are divided by the anchor-person's frame information. The caption recognition module detects the caption-frames with the caption characteristics, extracts their character region by the using split-merge method, and then recognizes characters with OCR software. Finally, the search browser module could make a various of searching mechanism possible.

In this paper, we consider the current status of smart TV and propose a business model established on the smart TV ecosystem. There are two views on the outlook of the smart TV market, one of which takes optimistic prospect and the other one is pessimistic. However, mostly it is believed that the innovation will continue in smart TV technology and the market will expand. In this paper, we proposes a two-way, active and consumer oriented business model for smart TV using subtitle information. Finally, we expect to contributing to reduce the gap of information between countries to spread the Han-Wave.

Even if the video data is utilized for a lot of field, its very difficult to reuse and search easily because of its atypical(unfixed form) and complicated structure. In this study, we presented the video retrieval system which is based on the synchronized closed caption and video, SMIL and SAMI languages which are described to structured and systematic form like multimedia data These have next structure; At first, a key word is inputted by user, then time stamp would be sampling from the string which has a key word in the caption file. To the result, the screen shows an appropriate video frame.

영상으로 콘텐츠를 개발하는 사람들을 '크리에이터'라 칭한다. 이들이 사람들에게 재미를 주고 이목을 끌기 위해 표준어 이외에 다양한 유행어와 신조어들을 만들어내며 이들을 영상뿐만 아니라 자막으로 활용하게 된다. 이러한 자막이 있는 영상 제작시 대본을 제작하는데 있어 자유도가 높은 크리에이터들의 특징상 맞춤법 오류 및 오타의 문제가 생긴다. 하지만 영상제작 도구에는 맞춤법 검사 기능이 없어 검사를 미리 하기에는 어려운 점이 있다. 우리는 이 문제점을 해결하기 위해 영상을 완성 하고 최종 검토를 할 때 맞춤법 검사를 하기 쉽도록 프로그램을 개발한다. OpenCV를 통해 영상의 자막을 글자로써 인식을 하고, fastText 모델을 통해 인식된 글자가 맞춤법에 맞는지 크리에이터에게 제안해주는 맞춤형 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다.
