The Comparison Between Regional and Urban Truck Movement Characteristics (지역간과 대도시 화물자동차 통행발생 특성 비교)

  • this study is to deduct the difference between regional and urban commercial trips by analyzing the characteristics of the regional and urban truck movements. To achieve this, we investigated the relation between the number of truck trips and various truck generation attributes such as truck attributes, origin and destination attributes, and commodity type using ordered logit models, which are separately estimated for regional and urban truck movements using truck diary data of Korea Transport Database (KTDB). According to the estimation results, regional and urban truck movements have different characteristics in truck attributes, origin and destination attributes and commodity type. Especially, the number of regional trucks trips increased as origin and destination are manufactural area and as the total value of products of industrial area in origin and destination increase.

Technology Financing for Export-Import based Small and Medium Sized Enterprises: Focused on Supported Enterprises by the Export-Import Bank of Korea (수출입 중소기업의 기술금융에 관한 연구: 한국수출입은행 지원기업을 중심으로)

  • This study examines the possibility of implementing the technology financing for export-import based small and medium sized enterprises. Our sample consists of 2,753 small and medium sized enterprises, receiving financial support from the Export-Import Bank of Korea for the period of 2011-2013. We find that only 400(200) firms reserve IPs(patents) annually. Given that IPs are likely to concentrate on manufacturer industries such as electronic components, computers, video, sound and communication equipment manufacturing(KSIC 26), other machinery and equipment manufacturing(KSIC 29), manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers(KSIC 31). We also find that the total assets, sales and R&D expenses of IP holding companies greatly exceeds those of companies without IPs. In addition, IP holding companies' liquidity seems slight edge and the leverage ratio is somewhat lower. However, profitability ratios of IP holding companies are rather than harsh or similar level. 20~30% of IP holding firms show very week credit scores, implying that banks' default risk is expected to be significant.

  • Manufacturing companies expand their revenue sources by advancing into upstream or downstream of business value chains with special focus on service. Such a new movement is called as servicizing. We introduce various successful cases of automobile industry in Korean and overseas countries. Information technology has been taking a critical role in automobile manufacturer's servicizing efforts leveraging their manufacturing capabilities and brand power. Servicizing cases include telematics, collision prevention, used-car sales, rental, and car life of Japanese, German and three Korean automobile companies.

  • Automotive manufacturing is a complex task that requires the production and assembly of thousands of different components or parts. The engine and the transmission are the major components that constitute a power train system. Although manufacturing processes of an engine are similar, the layouts of the manufacturing lines are different from factory to factory. It is due to the different design concept that how to combine the serial and parallel structures. In this paper, three engine lines of different factories are introduced, and the simulation technology is used to make the performance analysis for different design concepts.

  • 그 동안 투자가치를 기준으로 국내 가전 및 자동차산업 분야에서 고품질작업을 위한 로봇 시스 템(소형부품 조립과 스폿, 아크용접 및 실릴용 등)의 도입이 대기업을 중심으로 활발히 전개되어 왔으나, 90년대에 들어서면서 로봇 적용기술력의 향상과 로봇 시스템가격의 하락에 힘입어 열 악한 작업환경에서 작업인력을 대치할 수 있고, 다품종 소량생산에 적용할 다기능 및 지능로봇 시스템의 도입이 활발하게 검토되고 있다. 여기서는 이러한 제조업 분야의 자동화동향변화에 부응하여, 열악한 작업환경을 지닌 주물공장에서 3D 작업환경을 기피하는 작업자를 대신하고, 공장자동화의 한 셀(CELL)로서 연계자동화에 적용할 수 있는 주물소재의 가스절단 로봇 시스템 및 다버링 로봇 시스템에 대하여 당사의 개발적용 사례를 소개하고자 한다.

  • V2X(Vehicle to Everything)는 차량 간 통신(Vehicle-to-Vehicle), 차량과 인프라 간 통신(Vehicle-to-Infrastructure), 차량과 보행자 간의 통신(Vehicle-to-Pedestrians) 등 운전 중 도로 인프라 및 다른 차량과 통신하면서 교통상황 등의 정보를 교환하거나 공유하는 기술을 말한다. V2X는 IT 기술의 발달과 여러 연구기관들의 연구개발 강화로 인해 'Connected/Smart car' 나아가 완전한 자율주행차를 구현하기 위해 빠르게 진화하고 있다. 이러한 V2X 시장이 향후 10년 간 급속한 확대가 전망되면서, 국내외 통신업체와 제조업 및 산학연은 자동차와 정보통신, 에너지, 서비스 산업을 융합한 스마트자동차 산업을 신성장 동력으로 하여 기술개발에 노력을 가속화하고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 V2X 차량 통신 기술의 주요선진국 기술개발 동향과 현 수준을 알아본다.

  • 최근 주된 관심사로 대두된 대기오염규제 대상 물질인 휘발성유기화합물(VOCs)은 상온, 상압하에서 reid vapor pressure가 10.3kPa 이상인 탄화수소 물질로서 여러 형태로 대기중이나 수질중에 존재하고, 인간의 주변 환경 및 건강에 직접적으로 해를 끼친다. 간접적으로는 대기중 광화학 반응에 참여하여 오존($O_3$)을 생성시키거나 스모그 생성의 전구체로 작용한다. 우리나라에서는 1999년부터 대기환경보전법 제8조 2항 규정에 의한 대기환경규제지역(석유화학 정제업, 자동차 제조업, 주유고, 자동차 정비업소, 세탁시설 등)에서 VOCs를 규제토록 법제화하고 있다. Shipment Management System Model for Efficient Management of Transferring Automobile Transmission Parts -In Automobile Parts Manufacturing Industry- (자동차 변속기 부품 이동의 효율적 관리를 위한 출하관리 시스템 모형 -자동차 부품 제조업을 중심으로-)

  • This paper suggests a specific model that could efficiently improve the interaction and the interface between MES(Manufacturing Execution System) server and PDA terminal through RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system and bar-code system in automative transmission shipment place of the finished assembly parts. The proposed model shows that the new method by RF-Tag system can more efficiently perform to reduce processing time and loading time for shipment, compared with the current approach by bar-code system. It is noted in case of the method by RF-Tag that the effects of proposed model are as follows; (a) While the shipping lead time per truck for carrying by the current method was 35 minutes, the shipping lead time by the new method was 15 minutes. (b) While the accuracy for carrying by the current method was 50%, the accuracy by the new method was 99%.

A Comparative Analysis of the Efficiency of Automobile Export Ports in Korea and Japan (한국과 일본의 자동차 수출항만 효율성 비교 분석)

  • Korea is the fifth largest producer of automobiles in the world, and this industry accounts for the highest portion of the entire manufacturing industry. It is an especially important industry occupying second place in the top 10 export items in Korea. Korea exports about 3 million units of cars produced in the country and abroad, based on new cars and excluding second hand cars. Japan, along with Korea, represents a high portion of the global automobile industry, and it exports more than 4 million cars to the rest of the world. In particular, both Korea and Japan export automobile and used cars produced within the country, almost all of them by PCC(Pure Car Carrier) or PCTC(Pure Car Truck Carrier). Therefore, automobile export ports are located near automobile factories, and are being used in export to foreign countries. However, there are inefficient problems, such as poor port facilities, yard space shortage for loading and unloading operations and lack of proficiency of cargo handling companies. As a result, there are delays in cargo operations, or ships waiting have occurred. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to measure and compare the efficiency of automobile export ports in Korea and Japan. To measure the efficiency of automobile export port, we used CRS and VRS models from DEA. The input and output parameters were set as length of quay, yard area and throughput of cars, and DMUs are 25 ports for evaluating the efficiency. As a result of the efficiency measurements, two Korean ports (Gwangyang and Ulsan) and three Japanes ports (Kanda, Omaezaki, Kanmon-Shimonoseki) showed high efficiency in both models. These results can be used to establish strategies for enhancing efficiency and competitiveness of automobile export ports in Korea and Japan.
