The Design of a RF Automatic Gain Control Amplifier with Low Phase Shift Attenuator (저위상 변화 감쇄기를 이용한 RF 자동 이득 조정 증폭기 설계)

  • A new design of RF automatic gain control amplifier with low phase shift attenuator is proposed. By using the RF AGC amplifier, the output level of amplifier becomes to be constant. The error is 0.1dB. In addition, for arbitrary RF input power, it is possible to design the gain of amplifier to be fixed. If the constant gain is maintained, it is more reliable to make wanted IMD(Intermodulation Distortion) characteeristic amplifier.

  • Proportional solenoid valves are a modulating type that can control the displacement of valves continuously by means of electromagnetic forces proportional to the solenoid coil current. Because the solenoid-type modulating valves have the advantages of fast response and compact design over air-operated or motor-operated valves, they have been gaining acceptance in chemical and power plants to control the flow of fluids such as water, steam, and gas. This paper deals with the auto tuning of the position controller that can provide the proportional and integral gain automatically based on the dynamic system identification. The process characteristics of the solenoid valve are estimated with critical gain and critical period at a stability limit based on implemented relay feedback, and the controller parameters are determined by the classical Ziegler-Nichols design method. The auto-tuning algorithm was verified with experiments, and the effects of the operating point at which the relay control is activated as well as the relay amplitude were investigated.

Construction of the I-PD Control System by Multilayer Neural Network (다층 신경망에 의한 I-PD 제어계의 구성)

  • Many control techniques have been proposed in order to improve the control performance in discrete-time domain control system. In control system using these techniques, the response-characteristic of system is dependent on the gains of the controller. Specially, There is a need to readjust the gain of controller when the response of system is changed by disturbance or load fluctuation. In this paper, I-PD controller and pre-compensator are designed by multilayer neural network. The gains of I-PD controller and pre-compensator are adjusted automatically by back propagation algorithm when the response characteristic of system is changed under a condition. Applying this control technique to the position control system using a DC servo motor as a driver, the control performance of controller is verified by the results of experiment.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 보청기의 자동보정법을 제안하고 이를 이용하여 구현한 보정시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 일반적으로 난청환자의 청각 손실은 전 주파수를 걸쳐 일정하게 발생하는 것이 아니라, 고음 또는 저음 등 일부 특정 주파수 대역의 청각특성의 이득이 다른 주파수에 비해 상대적으로 낮아져서 생기는 현상이다. 그러나 현재까지의 보청기는 이와 같은 청각 손실을 가지고 있는 환자들에 대하여 전 주파수 대역의 음압을 동일 비율로 높여주는 문제가 있다. 이와 같은 보청기로 보정하게 되면, 주파수 대역별 균형이 맞지 않기 때문에 소리가 변형되어 들리게 되고, 명료도 또한 떨어지게 된다. 또한, 기존의 아날로그보청기는 생산공정 중에 잡음 피크 제거, 리미터 조정, 이득 조정(GC) 등의 작업을 수동으로 수행하게 되는데, 이는 작업공정이 복잡하고 개개인에 청각특성에 맞는 정확한 보정이 불가능한 문제점을 안고있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 제안한 자동보정 시스템은 각 주파수 대역별 최적화된 파라미터를 자동적으로 찾아서 입력하므로 보다 정확하고 신속한 보정이 가능하게 된다. 이 시스템은 외부 IC 콘트를 장치인 Hl-PRO를 이용하여 PC 환경 하에서Visual Basic으로 구현하였으며 시스템의 출력값을 측정하여 검토한 결과 구현한 자동보정법이 유효함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 3S Look-up table을 이용한 직류서보 전동기 시스템의 퍼지 PID제어의 한 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 제어기법은 재래식 조정기법인 ITAE table을 이용하여 제어기의 변수를 1차 조정한 다음 퍼지제어 행렬을 사용하여 작은 이득갑의 변화를 자동 결정함으로서 전동기 속도제어 시스템의 정상상태오차와 과도응답 특성을 향상 시킬 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 시스템은 마이크로프로세서를 이용함으로서 쉽게 실현할 수 있었다.

The Burst Effect Analysis of 2.5 Gb/s TDM-PON Systems Using a SOA Link Extender (반도체광증폭기로 전송거리 확장된 2.5 Gb/s TDM-PON에서 버스트 효과에 의한 신호왜곡 분석)

  • A bidirectional TDM-PON link to support 2.5 Gb/s upstream signals of 256 ONUs was considered for an extended transmission distance of 50 km. The power budget of the link was 58 dB for the upstream signal and a SOA was applied as a link extender which had a 25 dB gain. Receiver sensitivity of the upstream signal was -25 dBm for -30 dBm input power to the SOA. When the input power was -10 dBm, pulse overshooting caused by gain transient of the SOA was maximum at 45% and the signal performance degradation gave a power penalty of 1.55 dB for $10^{-12}$ BER. However the penalties diminished rapidly and became negligible as the input power went below -15 dBm. So this input power dynamic range of up to -15 dBm means that it is not positively necessary to use gain control methods for the next generation TDM-PON systems.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm to estimate time-varying parameters by combining KFSM(Kalman Filter with Shift Matrix) with neural network compansator. While the time varying parameters are estimated from KFSM, the error coverence of system, R(k) are compansated by neural network concurrently. The casestudy using computer simulation proves the usefullness and advantages of the proposed algorithm in this paper.

  • 현대 산업현장에서 80%이상 사용되는 PID(proportional integral derivative) 제어기는 제어성, 적응성, 제어이득 조정 등의 특정이 있어나 제어 대상에 대한 PID 제어 계수를 경험적 방법인 수동으로 동조해야하는 문제점이 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서 PID제어기의 최적 자동동조를 위한 릴레이 동조 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 한계감도법과 과도응답 법으로 초기계수를 결정하는 방법보다 유연성과 적용성이 높고, 이를 마이크로프로세서(DSP : TMS-320C32)에 적용하여 소프트웨어적으로 릴레이의 기능이 이루어지도록 설계했다. 이는 Ziegler-Nichols 계수조정법이 갖는 적용대상의 제약성을 극복한 방법이며, 릴레이에 의해 출력을 강제 진동시키고 출력의 진폭과 주기를 이용하여 PID 계수를 조정하고, 또 상대안정성의 척도인 위상여유를 고려하므로 시스템의 상대안정성과 견실성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Fuzzy Control Method By Automatic Scaling Factor Tuning (자동 양자이득 조정에 의한 퍼지 제어방식)

  • In this paper, we propose a fuzzy control method for improving the control performance by automatically tuning the scaling factor. The proposed method is that automatically tune the input scaling factor and the output scaling factor of fuzzy logic system through neural network. Used neural network is ADALINE (ADAptive Linear NEron) neural network with delayed input. ADALINE neural network has simple construct, superior learning capacity and small computation time. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method, we performed simulation. The results showed that the proposed control method improves considerably on the environment of the disturbance.

PID Control Structure for Model Following Control (모델 추종 제어를 위한 PID 제어기법)

  • This paper proposes the design of the model following control system using the PID control structure. PID control system became model following control by inserting new pre-compensator in order to improve control performance in discrete-time region. Gain of the PID controller needs to be readjusted when response of system changes due to disturbance or load fluctuation. Performance of control system improves by joining neural network to PID control system because performance of control system depends largely on each PID gain in PID control system. And the games of the PID controller in the proposed control system are automatically adjusted by back-propagation algorithm of the neural network. Angular position of DC servo motor is selected as a plant in order to verify control performance in model following control. After it is applied to the position control system, it's performance is verified through computer experiment.
