  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid fuzzy controller for high performance. Hybrid fuzzy controller are combined Fuzzy and PID controller. In tuning the controller, the parameters of PID and the factors fuzzy controllers were obtained from the model identification and by using genetic algorithms, respectively. Simulation examples demonstrated a better performance of the proposed controller than conventional ones.

  • Machining systems have been evolved to produce more detailed products of high added value. This has been possible, in large part, due to the development of highly accurate multi-axis CNC machine tools. The conventional CNC of machine tools has individual axis controllers to maximize tracking performance. On the other hand, cross-coupling controllers can be integrated into the conventional CNC to enhance contouring performance. For this multi-axis cross-coupling control system, it is necessary to automatically adjust the controller gains depending on operating conditions and/or other external conditions from an optimization perspective. This paper proposes automatic modeling of feed drive systems that minimizes the difference in behavior between the system model and the actual system. Based on the modeling, an integrated auto-tuning method is also proposed to improve both tracking and contouring accuracy of a 3-axis cross-coupling control system as well as users' convenience. The proposed methods are evaluated by both simulation and experiments.

  • PID auto-tuning controller was designed via fuzzy logic. Typical values such as error and error derivative feedback were changed as heuristic expressions, and they determine PID gain through fuzzy logic and defuzzification process. Fuzzy procedure and PID controller design were considered separately, and they are combined and analyzed. Obtained auto-tuning PID controller by Fuzzy Logic showed the ability for less than 3rd order plant control. We also applied to reference tracking problem with the designed auto-tuning scheme.

  • In this paper, a controller with monitoring functions is proposed for controlling temperature of an electric furnace system. The controller includes holding and ramp control functions, and the control program for the temperature process monitor of the electric furnace. For this purpose, the implementation and performance of auto tuning algorithms in a computer¬based controller is studied in relation to control of a nonlinear electric furnace system which is characterized with large time delay. The communicator of a control and detection signals, between the controller and the electric furnace is implemented by an I/O data card. Experiments for the practical electric furnace are performed to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller.

  • We propose an algorithm which can classify the system should use a PI controller, which have a weak high frequency attenuation characteristics near the critical frequency. To classify the system, we use a time delay element to calculate a gain attenuation rate near the critical frequency. The proposed algorithm also can design PI controller with the given magnitude margin and phase margin specification. The proposed algorithm uses time delay element and saturation function to identify the one point information in frequency domain. We justify the proposed algorithm via the simulation.

  • An automatic tuning method of a PID controller which is used for single input single output processes is proposed. In the proposed tuning method, the frequency response data model is adopted along with the performance index which is an integral of time weighted square error between reference model and process frequency response data model for tuning. This method is easier to retune when either the process dynamics is changed or the reference model is changed. Finally, an example is provided to show the usefulness of the method.

  • 본 논문에서는 3상 유도전동기의 속도를 제어하는데 기존 제어기의 문제점을 해결하고 최적화하기 위해서 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 하이브리드 퍼지 -PID(HFPID) 제어기를 고안하고, 이에 대한 파라미터 설정 방법을 제안한다. 유도전동기의 제어는 지연시간이 길고, 비선형성이 강하며, 부하변동이 잦은 프로세스이기 때문에, 기존의 제어방식으로는 만족할만한 결과를 얻을 수 없다. 제안한 하이브리드 퍼지-PID 제어기는 PID 제어기의 장점인 과도기의 우수성과 퍼지 제어기의 장점인 정상기의 우수성을 퍼지 변수로 결합시켜 설계한다. 이 제어기에 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하여 최적의 퍼지 및 PID 파라미터를 설정하다. 그리고 이 제어기를 3상 유도전동기의 속도 제어에 응용한다. 또한 속도오차에 대한 룩업 표를 만들어 온라인 실시간 제어를 가능하게 한다. 이상의 과정을 3상 유도전동기에서 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교해 볼 때, 하이브리드 퍼지-PID 제어기는 기존의 제어기 보다 전동기의 속도 및 토크성분 전류 둥의 특성에서 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • In this paper, we develop anti-sway control in proposed techniques for an ATC system. The developed algorithm is to build the optimal path of container motion and to calculate an anti-collision path for collision avoidance in its movement to the finial coordinate. Moreover, in order to show the effectiveness in this research, we compared NNP PID controller to be tuning parameters of controller using NN with 2 DOF PID controller. The experimental results for an ATC simulator show that the proposed control scheme guarantees performances, trolley position, sway angle, and settling time in NNP PID controller than other controller. As a result, the application of NNP PID controller is analyzed to have robustness about disturbance which is wind of fixed pattern in the yard. Accordingly, the proposed algorithm in this study can be readily used for industrial applications
