Magnetization Reversal Behavior of Submicron-sized Magnetic Films in Response to Sub-ns Longitudinal Field Pulses Along the Easy Axis (1 ns 이하의 자화 용이축 펄스 자기장에 의한 자성박막의 자화 반전 거동)

  • We simulated the magnetization reversal behavior of submicron-thickness magnetic films by applying pulses of sub-ns-long durations and amplitudes along the easy axis. The films were rectangular and elliptical $Ni_{80}Fe_{20}$, and their thickness was 2 nm and 4 nm. We observed different behaviors depending upon the shape and thickness of the films and found a normal non-switching in regions in which we expected complete switching after relaxation. In the elliptical film, the non-switching regions were found to be random and to be widely distributed throughout the switching map. The strong demagnetization field along the z-axis, the film thickness direction, is likely responsible for this abnormal behavior. In the rectangular film, the abnormal non-switching regions were less distributed than they were in the elliptical film due to edge domains resulting from the small $M_z$ or demagnetization field during the switching. Our simulation confirms that large demagnetization is detrimental to the ultra-fast magnetization reversal of magnetic ultra-thin films.

Influence of Shared Leadership Perceived by Cooks on Self-efficacy, Collective Efficacy, and Job Performance: Focusing on Hotel Culinary Department (공유 리더십에 대한 조리사 인식이 자기효능감, 집단효능감과 직무성과에 미치는 영향 : 호텔조리부서 대상)

  • This study assumed that chef's shared leadership perceived by chefs in hotel culinary department affects self-efficacy, group efficacy, and job performance. Based on this, the causal relationship between each variable was analyzed through leadership sharing. And based on the results, we tried to suggest a manpower management plan suitable for the hotel culinary department and provide basic data. The subjects of this study were chefs working in 8 luxury hotels in Seoul and Busan. A total of 302 questionnaires were analyzed. For analysis, SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical packages were used. As a result of empirical analysis, it was found that it had a positive effect on self-efficacy and job performance improvement of hotel cooks. On the other hand, it was found that the chef's shared leadership did not affect job performance through collective efficacy and collective efficacy. In conclusion, it was suggested that a differentiated and efficient manpower management plan is needed to enhance job performance by enhancing shared leadership and self-efficacy for cooks, where collaboration and division of labor are important, and individual ability is important due to the nature of their work.

Analysis of Pole Ratio Effect of Magnetic Reducer (마그네틱 감속기의 극수비 영향 분석)

  • In a concentric magnetic gear, which replaces the teeth of a mechanical gear with a permanent magnet, the polar ratio of the magnet that determines the reduction ratio affects the behavior of the magnetic gear dramatically. This study analyzed the density of transmission torque, the efficiency of torque considering the solid loss, and the torque quality, including the cogging characteristics using finite element analysis. When the pole number on the driving side was changed from two to five, it was confirmed that there was an optimal pole ratio, in which the transmission torque was maximized. Because eddy current generation density is proportional to the magnetic field, the transmission efficiency also shows a similar tendency to the transmission torque density, and the efficiency is more than 95% at a low gear ratio. The cogging characteristics due to the interaction of the permanent magnets with the limited number of poles are inversely proportional to the least common multiple between the number of magnets on the drive side and the number of modulator teeth. A test model was built for the transmission torque evaluation.

자기부상열차의 속도/위치 검출 시스템

  • 자기부상열차의 효율적인 추력제어 및 안전성 높은 운행을 위해서 고성능의 속도/위치 검출 시스템이 중요한 역할을 한다. 일반열차는 바퀴가 선로에 접촉하여 주행하므로 차축의 회전속도를 측정해서 열차의 선로위를 일정한 간격을 두고 부상하여 주행하므로 비접촉식 측정방법을 사용해야만 한다[1-5]. 특히, 고속으로 주행하는 자기부상열차의 속도를 측정하기 위해서는 응답속도가 빠른 센서시스템을 개발하며, 또한 열차주행에 수반되는 자기장의 영향을 극소화하도록 센서시스템을 설계해야만 한다. 본고에서는 전형적인 자기부상열차인 일본의 HSST 시스템(주행속도 100km/h)과 독일의 Transrapid 시스템(주행속도: 400km/h)에 적용되고 있는 속도/위치 검출 시스템의 작동원리를 상세히 설명한다. HSST 시스템은 유도무선(inductive radio system) 방법을 이용하고 Transrapid 시스템은 와전류근접센서(eddy-current proximity sensor)를 이용한다.

Effectiveness of the Internet Real-Name Verification Law: Evidence from Self-censorship and Intention to Detour the Regulation (인터넷실명제와 우회로의 선택: 인터넷 공론장 참여자들의 자기검열과 우회로 선택의향을 중심으로)

  • This paper investigates the effectiveness of Real-Name System on Internet, which has been applied to some Internet service provider bulletin boards in Korea. The goal of the Real-Name system on the Internet is controlling expression of slanderous or abusive language. The effectiveness of the regulation is dependent on the people's perceptions and attitude toward to the legislation. This empirical study examines the antecedents that affect the perceptions and attitude toward the regulation. Further, we investigate the relationships among variables such as internet public sphere participation, attitude to the regulations, and intention to choose detours. Results of regression analysis show that the younger and the more progressive individuals are, the more they oppose the implementation of the law. Also, it was found that people who have more political interest and participate more actively in public sphere via internet, tend to oppose the law. Structural equation models reveal that participation in online public sphere drives negative attitudes about the regulation. In addition, people with negative perceptions about the law tend to choose the detours such as 'cyber asylum' and 'service asylum'.

마그네트론 스퍼터로 코팅된 알루미늄 박막의 미세구조 분석

  • 알루미늄 박막을 코팅하기 위해서 비대칭 마그네트론 스퍼터 소스를 이용하였으며 빗각 증착과 외부 자기장에 의한 플라즈마 밀도 제어가 알루미늄 박막의 미세구조에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 빗각 증착은 타겟과 기판이 서로 평행하지 않고 빗각을 이루도록 기판을 기울여 코팅하는 방법으로 박막의 미세구조를 제어할 수 있다. 마그네트론 스퍼터 소스 외부에 원형의 전자석을 위치시키고 직류의 전류를 인가하여 타겟 표면에서 발생하는 플라즈마 밀도를 제어할 수 있도록 하였다. 알루미늄을 물리기상증착으로 코팅하면 일반적으로 주상정 구조를 갖는다. 알루미늄 박막이 주상정 구조로 이루어지면 박막의 표면 거칠기가 증가하고 밀도가 감소하는 현상을 보인다. 알루미늄을 빗각 증착으로 코팅하면 주상정 형성이 억제되어 박막의 밀도가 높아지고 표면 거칠기는 감소하는 현상을 보였다. 알루미늄의 빗각 증착 시 전자석에 인가하는 전류의 세기와 방향을 제어하여 타겟 표면의 플라즈마 밀도를 증가시키면 알루미늄 박막의 밀도가 빗각 증착만 적용했을 때보다 증가하고 비정질과 같은 박막 구조를 보이는 현상을 관찰할 수 있었다. 전자석에 인가하는 전류의 방향을 기판 표면의 플라즈마 밀도가 증가하도록 바꾸면 알루미늄 주상정의 크기가 증가하고 기공의 크기도 증가하는 현상을 관찰하였다. 마그네트론 스퍼터 공정 시 자기장과 빗각 증착을 적절하게 이용하여 밀도가 높고 표면 거칠기가 낮은 알루미늄 박막을 코팅할 수 있었으며, 이러한 알루미늄 박막은 기능성 향상을 위한 표면처리 소재로 활용 가능성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Recently, the magnetic bearings which have many advantages such as no noise, less mechanical friction are widely applied to the suspension of rotors on the rotary machineries. However, the magnetic bearing system is inherently unstable, nonlinear and MIMO(multi-input-multi-output) system as well. In this paper, we design a state feedback controller using linear matrix inequality(LMI) to the multi-objective synthesis, for the magnetic bearing system with integral type servo system. The design objectives include $H_{\infty}$ performance, asymptotic disturbance rejection, and time-domain constraints on the closed-loop pole location. The results of computer simulation show the validity of the designed controller.

  • In this paper, we present that design and implementation of digital extreme-low-frequency (ELF) magnetic meter including wireless monitoring feature. In our lifetime, it is necessary to study how much magnetic field effects to human body. In this paper, we use 3-axis coil-type magnetic sensor, magnetic measurement range is 0.03~10uT and frequency range is 40~180Hz. As magnetic sensor characteristic, frequency loss is occurred that compensated using digital equalize based on DSP processor. Measurement value can be monitored on PC through Wifi communication and measurement error is observed within 6%.

The Influence of Magnetic Field on Diffusion Flames: Role of Magnetic Field On/Off Frequency and Duty Ratio (자기장 분포가 확산화염의 연소특성에 미치는 영향: 자기장 On/Off 주기와 Duty Ratio의 역할)

  • The influence of magnetic field on propane and acetylene diffusion flames have been experimentally investigated using an electromagnetic system. Periodically induced magnetic field having various frequencies and duty ratios was established in square wave form. The maximum intensity and gradient of magnetic field were 1.3 T and 0.27 T/mm, respectively. The width of a propane flame was reduced up to 4.5% and the brightness was enhanced up to 25% when the magnetic field was induced. The soot emission from an acetylene flame was ceased when magnetic field was induced. The alteration of flow field, which is due to the paramagnetic characteristics of oxygen molecule, is most likely to be responsible for the change in flame size and brightness. The effect of magnetic field on diffusion flames, which competes with the gravitational effect, was more apparent from a smaller size flame. The magnetic field effect, therefore, could be important under microgravity conditions. Since the time required to alter the flow field must be finite, the magnetic field effect is likely to be less significant for a periodically oscillating magnetic field at a high frequency or having a small duty ratio.

Signal Processing for Pulse Induction Metal Detector (자성센서 기반 지뢰탐지기를 위한 신호처리)

  • This paper proposes an algorithm for signal processing which is used in pulse induction metal mine detectors. The detection power can be obtained from magnetic variation on the search coil. The calibration data should be made when there is no target because the detection power is difference between with and without a target. And it is also updated periodically because of surrounding various noises. Lastly, we keep a watch on the signal slope to identify exact position and signal power of mine detection.
