  • Dentofacial trauma can result in tooth fracture, avulsion, facial bone fracture. The Unites states and Japan mandated the use of mouthguards for contact sports. But, Korean didn't. Mouthguards divided into ready-made type and custom-made type. Mouthguards protect the lips, intraoral soft tissues, teeth and provide the mandible with resilient support to prevent jaw fracture and dislocations. Sports-related accidents have been reported to be one of the most common causes of dentofacial trauma. Sports trauma of involving teeth with incomplete root formation cause long chair time, multiple visit, economic considerations, additional dental services. So, mouthguards can offer considerable protection against sports-related trauma.

  • This study is a review of research articles on the characteristics of probiotics. Probiotics are effective at ameliorating immune disease, alleviating glucose intolerance, and improving constipation and diarrhea. Furthermore, they have anticancer and antitumor effects, preventive effects against cardiovascular disease, antidiabetic effects, antioxidant effects, antibacterial effects, and they produce useful metabolites. It has been demonstrated that oral probiotics are effective in eliminating halitosis and forming a favorable oral ecosystem, by creating an environment that is not readily inhabited by harmful bacteria, such as Streptococcus mutans, which produces lactic acid and causes tooth decay, or Porphyromonas gingivalis, which causes gum disease. As a result, oral probiotics are being considered not only as therapeutics against diseases, but also as preventive agents for the maintenance of a healthy oral balance. In spite of some limitations, clinical trials are currently underway, and this study can provide evidence to support the use of probiotics to improve oral health conditions, including dental caries, periodontal disease, and Candida colonization.

The logistic regression for the effects of Internet Usage Level on the oral symptoms were analyzed using a logistic regression method. Symptoms of toothache when eating and throbbing symptoms, and gum pain symptoms showed high levels of stress, and high awareness of pain when lower daily frequency of tooth-brushing. In addition, the less time spent on the Internet, the more subjective health awareness, the higher sleep satisfaction, the less smoking and drinking experience, Results were significantly lower. In conclusion, health education that mitigates adolescents' excessive use of the Internet is believed to enable proper health practices and is intended to help develop health education programs that can prevent such oral symptoms.
