Objective : This study aimed to provide an overview of task-oriented approaches for children with developmental coordination disorder, including its definition, diagnosis, causes, and assessment, through a literature review. Subject : Eighteen international articles published between January 2000 and September 2023 were analyzed to explore the intervention strategies of Neuromotor Task Training (NTT) and Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP). The objectives of the interventions mentioned in the reviewed articles were categorized according to the criteria of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework-4 (OTPF-4). The results showed that NTT more frequently set goals in the area of client factors, while CO-OP set goals only in the area of occupation. This difference in goal setting can be explained by the strategy differences between the two interventions. Conclusion : A broader and deeper understanding of strategies for interventions with task-oriented approaches to developmental coordination disorder can increase awareness of the disorder and provide a more solid basis for evidence-based practice.

Tic disorder including Tourette's disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that appears in childhood and characterized by the presence of motor and vocal tics. Childhood-onset obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is suggested to be a phenomenologically and etiologically distinct subtype of OCD, bearing a close genetic relationship to tic-disorders. Tourette's disorder and OCD are comorbid in $40-75\%$ of patients initially diagnosed with either disorder. Basal ganglia and cortico-striato-thalamic circuits are implicated in the pathophysiology of both disorders and these disorders have similar clinical features. Over the past decades, the progress in research on Tourette's disorder and OCD has been extraordinary. This review describes some of important insights from these work, involving these areas : 1) clinical implication 2) genetics and epidemiology 3) brain imaging study 4) neuroche-mistry 5) pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infection (PANDAS).
Objectives : The symptom of torticollis caused by abnormal contraction in cervical muscles, is easily found among those who get much stress physically and mentally in modern society. Due to this disease, the patients suffer not only from psychologic distress for appearance but also from functional disorder. Therefore, this case is to look for the effective treatment and understandings on the spasmodic torticollis. Methods : Herb medicine is used Guibi-tang(歸脾湯), Heosu-san(回首散), Hyangso-san(香蘇散) and Samul-tang(四物湯). Manipulation therapy is used stretching and meassage technique on cervical muscles. Self exercise of cervical and lumbosacral muscles, physical therapy with ultra sound carried out. Result and Conclusion : Acquired spasmodic torticollis effectively is treated with herb medicine, manipulation, exercise and physical therapy.

Multiple rice body formation is a complication of chronic bursitis frequently associated with seronegative rheumatoid arthritis or tuberculosis. It resembles synovial chondromatosis on imaging and clinically. We report on a pathologically diagnosed multiple rice body formation in subacromial and subdeltoid bursitis in a 44-year-old man who was treated by surgical removal and bursectomy. At 16 months after the removal, range of motion of affected shoulder was normal. No evidence of recurrence of rice body in plain X-ray and ultrasonography. Multiple rice body formed in chronic subacromial and subdeltoid bursitis could be treated with surgical removal and bursectomy successfully.
Purpose: The isolated exercise therapy and its effect for the treatment of posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is not well known. The purpose of this study was to identify the clinical effect of stretching and strengthening exercise program on the patients' muscle function and range of motion, pain and gait in the management of the early stage PTTD. Materials and Methods: From October 2006 to March 2007, 14 patients with early stage PTTD (stage I or IIa) without surgical intervention were randomly assigned into two groups and we analyzed their clinical results. All patients were female and one who have sprained the same ankle during the program and one who withdrew from the program due to her private reason were excluded. At the last, the exercise group (EG) was seven and the control group (CG) was five. Mann-Whitney U test was used for the comparison of pain, ROM, muscle power, AOFAS score and 5 minute walking test of both groups. Wilcoxon-signed rank test was used for the comparison between the pre and post exercise program in EG. Results: The pain was significantly reduced in EG compare to CG and only the dorsiflexion was significantly increased in EG in the analysis of ROM. The dorsi flexion and plantar flexion power were significantly increased in EG. Conclusion: Our 6 weeks stretching and strengthening exercise program showed noticeably improved clinical result, and therefore it is recommended as one of the useful treatment option in the management of early stage PTTD.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Daegunjoong-tang for improvement of gastrointestinal motility after surgery due to gastrointestinal cancer by analyzing the existing clinical research. Methods: Clinical studies about Daegunjoong-tang for improvement of gastrointestinal motility after surgery due to gastrointestinal cancer were identified in a literature search using the search term "Daikenchuto AND cancer AND ileus." The studies were analyzed in terms of design, inclusion and exclusion of participants, intervention, control, outcomes, and results. Results: Nine articles were identified in the literature search. Four trials included colon cancer participants with colectomy, and three studies included gastric cancer with total gastrectomy. The intervention in each case was Daegunjoong-tang, and most interventions were made by a pharmaceutical company with a Good Manufacturing Practice facility. The most frequently used control was a placebo. The methods were diverse, including measuring gastrointestinal function, motility, quality of life, symptom scores with a numeric rating scale, and blood tests. Safety was investigated by recording adverse events. Conclusions: Some issues were discovered by reviewing the existing clinical research about Daegunjoong-tang for improvement of gastrointestinal motility after surgery for gastrointestinal cancer. These results will be utilized as evidence for using Daegunjoong-tang in clinical practice and designing a clinical trial for Korean patients.

Pervasive developmental disorder is one of the most severe clinical disorder in child psychiatry and is associated with deviancies in multiple areas of development. Medication does not cure pervasive developmental disorder and its effectiveness is generally nonspecific. But psychopharmacological treatment can be important for some children with pervasive developmental disorder and can make many young autistics more amenable to behavior modification and education. Haloperidol, the most widely studied antipsychotics, was statistically and clinically superior to placebo, and furthermore, was known to facilitate the positive functioning such as, discrimination learning and imitative communication, without side effects. However, administration of haloperidol is associated with drug related dyskinesia, and it warrants the introduction and use of the other novel drugs. Several biochemical studies suggest that subgroups of children with pervasive developmental disorder show hyperserotonemia and increased endogenous opioid level as compared with controls. Psychopharmacological trials were conducted according to these findings(ex : fenfluramine, naltrexone), with mixed results till now. These and another drugs that have been used in children with pervasive developmental disorder and their effectiveness are reviewed.
A time-dependent primitive two0dimensional calculation is conducted to investigate the variations of Vol. transport onto the Yellow Sea and the Korea Strait with real bathymetries and to tract the Lagrangian movement of water particles. A series of experiment of the barotropic Kuroshio intrusions shows that the eddy induced branching of Kuroshio has sufficient intensity as to modify the continental shelf circulation. This intrusion seems to be one of the important forcing terms such as winds. tides and buoyancy that can also affect the dynamics in the region of the continental shelf. Transport variations across the shelfbreak due to the branching of Kuroshio which come particularly from the southwest of the Kyushu Island, have a strong relationship with the transport variations across the Korea Strait and in the southern area of the Yellow sea. The particle trajectories of the model results are well agreed with the trajectories of satellite tracking drifters obtained by one of the WOCE/TOGA program except the longer travel time period in the present model.
Mouse embryonic stem cell could show an substitutional materials of cells of neuron differentiation, positively increasing their effectiveness in the treatment of nervous symptom. We examined that mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) can be induced to undergo neuronal differentiation. After neuronal induction, the phenotype of mESCs changed towards neuronal morphology and mESCs were injected into the lateral ventricle of the experimental animal brain. Transplanted cells migrated to various parts of the brain and ischemic brain injury by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) increased their migration to the injured cortex. Intracerebral grafting of mESCs mostly improve sensory and motor nervous system of neurological injury in focal cerebral rats.

Sling exercise treatment(S-E-T) is a therapeutic exercise based on scientific studies for the purpose of treating musculoskeletal or neurological disorders thereby improving strength, endurance, and skills for sensory-motor integration. Exercise resistance and intensity can be modified in various ways by changing the length of rope, patient position, therapist's manual resistance, and using elastic rope. The therapist can also progress to successively higher levels of exercise resistance and intensity by changing the position of the hanging point: the subject of this article. In brief, there are three axial components in S-E-T; hanging point, motor axis, and suspension point. The hanging point can be changed in several ways in relation to the joint; axial, superior, inferior, medial, and posterior hanging points. The position of the hanging point affects the amount of load on agonist and antagonist muscles as well as on the range of motion. To create an advanced exercise program, selection of hanging point can be two-dimensional such as superior-lateral or anterior-medial. Therapists, therefore, can freely but carefully select the best hanging point based on the purpose of the exercise and their level of knowledge in S-E-T.
