Inter-EPS mobility scheme for wireless In-band backhaul in a distributed network environment (분산 네트워크 환경에서 무선 In-band backhaul을 통한 이동성 지원 방안)

  • The current LTE network system provides service by locally allocating eNodeB to the EPC(Evolved Packet Core). However, it is not suitable for inter-node communication based on the distributed network environment. In this paper, we propose an integrated system by configuring E-UTRAN and EPC as All-In-One type to enable service in each distributed node. M2M UE is mounted on a each node for wireless In-band backhaul link. The integrated node provides inter-node communication over the wireless in-band backhaul link. If a normal UE moves and an access node changes in the system all entities of LTE integrated into one, it is necessary to change the P-GW which is IP anchor. In order to support the inter-node mobility even if P-GW is changed, We defined UPFE(User Packet Forwarding Extension) scheme and implemented the handover procedure of EPC. Also, we analyze the cell range of the integrated LTE system with the addition of the node and compare the handover delay with the current system.

  • MANET(mobile ad hoc network) cn be one of the access networks of BcN(broadband convergence network), and an user node requires address auto-configuration protocol for mu14i-hop environment. Some address auto-configuration protocols are proposed for independent MANET, but they don't consider BcN-accessable MANET environment. In this paper, new address auto-configuration protocol for wireless nodes is proposed. With this proposal, they ran configure their global addresses automatically in hybrid MANETs as BcN access networks. The autoconfiguration protocol modifies IPv6 NDP(neighbor discovery protocol) messages to deliver global prefix information to all wireless nodes, and avoids message boradcasting to minimize network overhead.

  • Mobile agent is a software program that provides autonomy and mobility for the users in the networked computers by deciding its own movement place. Since mobile agent does not keep up the network connection and migrate its executable code under its own control, it can be often used in the unstable network conditions such as the wireless network and the heavy traffic network. In this paper, we show that the electronic commerce system can be developed efficiently to retrieve and trade the goods in the mobile computing environment by using the mobile agent paradigm. Multiple mobile agents migrate into the market directly, then negotiate and trade autonomously relevant goods and services. The execution result and executable code of the mobile agent are returned to the home place and reported to the users. We show that the mobile agent paradigm is suitable to build the mobile electronic commerce system by designing and prototyping the mobile market system.

Capacity Analysis of VoIP over LTE Network (LTE 무선 네트워크에서 Voice over IP 용량 분석)

  • The 4th generation mobile communication system, LTE, does not support an additional core network to provide voice service, and it is merged into a packet network based on all IP. Although Voice service over LTE can be supported by VoIP, it will be provided by the existing 3G networks because of the discontinuity of LTE coverage. However, it is inevitable to adopt VoIP over LTE to provide high quality voice service. In this paper, we investigate the capacity of VoIP over LTE. Our results indicate that spectral efficiency can be significantly improved as channel bandwidth increases in terms of VoLTE capacity. In addition, we can achieve higher VoLTE capacity without decreasing control channel capacity.

  • This study designed and implemented a J2ME based on mapping viewer to browse the SVG based wireless-map in mobile phone. This proposed technique was efficiently applied to a forest fire extinguishment information management system by mapping the exact location of important objects on wireless-map in wireless network. As the result, the study helps to guide the safe and efficient extinguishment affairs and provides the safe extinguishment environment for ground fire fighting teams in real time. And also this technique presents the way to move the client mapping function such as representation of the moving coordinates to server and made it possible to operate SVG based viewer in personal cellular phone.

  • The Handoff is the core technical factor that is required when mobile host moves from one area to another, while transmitting and receiving data. The existing works try to minimize the loss of pockets by forwarding packets to the Cell which a mobile host will move to. However, though the loss quantity is little, the accumulated loss can del(rade the performance of the TCP, and can be a serious problem if data is sensitive to the loss of packets. In this paper, we can reduce a memory requesting in FA by restricting the mobile host to move within at most 2 movable cells and design the improved handoff protocol for Mil to receive packets seamlessly in spite of handoff. We can evaluate that the suggested method is superior to the previous method, as a result of comparing with it.

  • 최근 무선네트워크의 급격한 발달로 이동 중에도 통신을 할 수 있는 요구사항에 IETF에서는 Mobile IPv6(MIPv6)라는 기술을 제안하였다. MIPv6는 IPv6환경에서 모바일 노드(모바일 노드)가 이동을 하면서도 통신을 할 수 있는 기술인데, 실제 상용망에서는 사용되지 않고 있다. 그 이유는 모바일 노드에 이동성을 제공하는 모바일 스택의 탑재가 높은 오버헤드를 가지고 있고, 시그널링 비용이 많이 들기때문이다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서 지난 해 Proxy Mobile IPv6(PMIPv6)가 표준화 되었다. PMIPv6는 모바일 노드에 이동성을 제공하는 모바일 스택을 올리지 않고 네트워크 엔티티가 대신 모바일 스택을 가지고 시그널링을 처리하기 때문에 결과적으로 시그널링 비용을 줄였다. 하지만 PMIPv6에서는 인접한 네트워크 사이에서 패킷을 전송할 때 MAG간의 통신이 가능하지 않고, 오직 LMA를 통하여 대응 노드(대응 노드)에게 패킷을 전송할 수 있다. 게다가 같은 서브넷에 있는 대응 노드에게 패킷을 전송할 때도 LMA를 거치게 되는 불필요한 과정이 발생한다. 게다가 LMA를 통하여 패킷을 전송하는 방식은 지연과 리오더링(Re-Ordering)을 발생시켜본 패킷 재전송을 유발하여 전송 품질을 떨어뜨리게 된다. 본 논문에서는 인접한 MAG간의 통신, 또는 같은 서브넷 내에서의 통신에서 LMA를 거치지 않고 통신을 할 수 있는 방안으로 블룸 필터를 이용한 통신 기법을 제안한다.

  • Ad-hoc 네트워크란 지정된 이동성 지원 기반 시설의 도움 없이 임시 망을 구성하는 이동 호스트와 무선 인터페이스의 집합이다. Ad-hoc 네트워크는 Access Point 없이 이동성이 지원 된다는 점에서 최근 많은 각광을 받고 있으며, 현재 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 Ad-hoc 네트워크의 특징을 이용하여 소수의 관리자가 다수의 이동 가능한 관리 대상들을 효율적으로 제어하기 위한 사용자 맵핑 시스템을 설계 및 구현 한다. 본 논문에서 하드웨어적으로 직접 구현한 사용자 맵핑 시스템은 사용자 위치 정보 노드(u_LIN, User Location Information Node)라 명명된 장치들이 네트워크를 구축하고, 그 네트워크에서 하나 이상의 u_LIN이 사라지면 경고 시스템을 활성화 하여 사라진 u_LIN을 찾도록 도와주는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서 구현한 사용자 맵핑 시스템의 성능 평가 결과 u_LIN 간 1:1 통신을 직선거리에서 수행하였을 때 약 250m까지 정상적으로 통신하였으며, 1:N 통신 역시 100m 이내의 거리에서 안정적으로 정보를 주고받았다. 본 시스템은 미아 방지 시스템, 등산객 조난 방지 시스템, 유치원 아동관리 시스템, 관광 가이드의 관광객 관리 시스템 등 여러 시스템에 유연하게 적용이 가능하여 앞으로도 활용도가 높을 것으로 예상된다.

Performance Analysis of Routing Protocols for Mobile Ad-hoc Network under Group Mobility Environment (그룹 이동 환경에서의 무선 애드혹 네트워크 라우팅 알고리즘 성능 분석)

  • Most pier performance analysis results for ad-hoc routing protocols have been based upon the model which each node in the network moves independently without restriction. In most real environments, however, it is very common for a group or multiple groups to move under the direction of group leader or group leaders instead of each node's independent movement. This paper presents the performance analysis of routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc network under group mobility environment. The comparative simulations have been made between a table-driven protocol, DSDV, and two on-demand protocols, AODV and DSR, under a group mobility model, RPGM, which is suitable for the practical applications such as military tactical operation. Multiple group movements are also included. The results show that the protocol performances for single group movement are very similar to node independent movement case. However some differences have been observed by varying pause time and connectivity.

  • Existing wireless access (mobile) routers are based commonly on the network address and port translation (NAPT) technique which permits simultaneously sharing a subscriber's connection to the network with multiple users. However, the NAPT architecturally makes the users invisible on the network side, thus becoming a user-oriented connection technique. In this paper, we propose a novel service provider-oriented unlicensed nomadic access relay station (WiNNERS) for helping wireless broadband network service providers to make their business more lucrative by accommdating unlicensed band users as subscribers into their network. The WiNNERS offers service providers the capability to directly manage each of the unlicensed band users at the network side. This direct management allows the service providers to flexibly and simply handle QoS, access control, and billing for each user. In order to distinguish each of the unlicensed band users the WiNNERS constructs a virtual tunnel from each user's terminal to the network access router using connection identifiers which is defined for service flow management within the WiBro system, Consequently, our proposed service provider-oriented relay station can be included into the WiBro network system with minimum modifications.
