A Performance Analysis on the Traffic Control of OSI Network Management Protocol (OSI망 관리 프로토콜의 트래픽 제어에 대한 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, the traffic control scheme used by M-cancel-Get services In CMIS /CMIP, OSI network management protocol, is presented and the performance is analyzed. M -Get service which allows a multiple response functional unit is a service that searches an attribute of the managed sys-tem and the service requires a large quantity of response as its typical characteristics. At the time, management response is transmitted Irrelevant to the network condition In the managed as well as In the management system. The management system requests M Canrel-Get service which informs the canrelation of M -Get service (or Information retrieval. In case of using M-Cancel-Get service for traffic control, the point of time for traffic control is propose by the result of simulation on management response time as the number of multiple response packets is Increased. The result is analyzed by processing ratio of the network workload and the average delay time of packets. As a result, the traffic control parameters proposed in the study show superiority in its processing ratio and the average packet delay time. Especially, its performance improves as the size of background traffic density Increase.

Dynamic Analysis of Floating Bridge Subject to Earthquake Load Considering Multi-Support Excitation (다중지점 가진 효과를 고려한 부유식 교량의 지진응답 해석)

  • Dynamic response analysis is conducted for a floating bridge subjected to multiple support earthquake excitation. The floating bridge used in this study is supported by discrete floating pontoons and horizontal pretension cables supported at both ends of the bridge. The bridge is modeled with finite elements and the hydrodynamic added mass and added damping due to the surrounding fluid around pontoons are obtained using boundary elements. During the analysis the concept of retardation function is utilized to consider the frequency dependency of the hydrodynamic coefficients. Multiple support excitation is introduced at both ends of the bridge and the time history response is compared to that of a simultaneous excitation. The results show that the multiple support excitation yields larger values in some responses. for example in cable tensions. than the sumultaneous excitation.

  • 신호망에서의 지연은 망관리 행위의 응답시간에 직접적인 영향을 미치기 때문에 모든 제어정보는 가장 효과적으로 전송되어야 한다. 신호망이 효율적으로 운용되는지 뿐만 아니라 신호망의효과적인 설계를 위해서 신호시스템의 성능을 아는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 공통선 신호 시스템의 신호망 기능부의 지연 성능을 분석하였다. 분석은 ITU-T 규격을 기반으로 다른 계층의 프로토콜에 독립적인 큐잉모델을 만들어 대기체계분석을 통하여 이루어졌다. 또한 신호망 기능부가 신호 메시지 처리부와 신호망 관리부로 나누어져 구성되는 것도 고려하여 모델링하였다.

2-Parameter High Frequency Combustion Instability Model (2-파라메타 모델에 의한 고주파 연소불안정 해석)

  • The definition of burning admittance and conventional n-$\tau$ stability rating technique are combined to investigate the high frequency combustion instabilities inside the cylindrical combustion chamber. Perturbed flow variables are written as the sum of fluctuating and time-averaged mean quantities on the assumption that the terms of the order higher than unity are sufficiently small, hence linearized governing equations could be formulated. Chamber admittances up and downstream of the flame front calculated with appropriate boundary conditions result in the burning admittance and corresponding n-$\tau$ neutral stability curve. Configurational and operational design factors are tested to detect the unstable wave-induced LOX-RP1 combustion instabilities. Operational design factors, e.g. pressure or O/F ratio, appear less influential to drive high frequency instability while the location of the flame front and configurational factors enhance or deteriorate the stabilities strongly. Conclusively, LOX-RP1 combustion inside the cylindrical combustion chamber is apt to be unstable against long residence time and shortened chamber length.

  • In a MMORPG, a typical application of virtual environment systems, it is a common desire to play in a more realistic environment. However, it is very difficult to provide a latency-free virtual environment to a large user base, mainly due to the fact that the real environment must be configured on multiple servers rather than on single server and that data must be shared on the real server when users move from one region to another. Experiencing response delays continuously in the process of information synchronization between servers greatly deteriorates the degree of immersion. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to minimize the response delay occurring in the information synchronization process between the servers. In this paper, we propose Migration Agent for efficient information synchronization between field servers providing information of virtual environment and minimizing response delay between Field Server and PC(Player Character) and implement it in cloud computing network. In the proposed system, CPU utilization of field server increased by 6 ~ 13%, and response time decreased by 5 ~ 10 seconds over the existing system in 70,000 ~ 90,000 PCs

  • CDN (Content Delivery Network) [1]은 분배서버와 네트워크의 상태를 고려하여 다양한 서비스의 컨텐츠를 보다 효율적으로 전송할 수 있도록 설계된 네트워크이다. 이러한 CDN을 구성하기 위해서는 네트워크 계획, 컨텐츠 할당, 분배서버 선택 등을 고려해야 한다. 특히, 분배서버 선택을 위한 기존의 연구들은 분배서버 선택 시 모든 분배서버에 대한 측정된 값 (응답시간, 지연)이나 실시간 정보를 기준으로 분배서버를 선택하게 되므로 호 봉쇄 확률을 고려하지 않게 되고 제어 프로토콜로 인한 오버헤드가 많아지게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 분배서버에서 서비스하고 있는 호의 수와 응답 시간을 고려한 새로운 서버 선택 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서 CDN의 분배서버들은 호의 수에 따라 논리적 최소 힙(heap) 구조로 구성되며 이를 이용하여 각 호스트는 자신에게 적당한 분배서버들의 서브 집합을 구성함으로써 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있는 메커니즘을 제안한다.

Time-Domain Electric Field Integral Equation Solving for a Stable Solution of Electromagnetic Transient Scattering (안정된 전자파 과도 산란해를 얻기 위한 시간영역 전장 적분방정식 해석)

  • In this paper, we present a new formulation using time-domain electric field integral equation (TD-EFIE) to obtain transient scattering response from arbitrarily shaped three-dimensional conducting bodies. The time derivative of the magnetic vector potential is approximated with a central finite difference and the scalar potential is time averaged by dividing it into two terms. This approach with an implicit method using central difference results in accurate and more stable transient scattering responses from conducting objects. Detailed mathematical steps are included and several numerical results are presented and compared with the inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) of the frequency-domain solution.

  • This paper presents an adaptive processor allocation strategy to reduce fragmentation in a large multi-user multicomputer system. A small number of jobs with unexpectedly large submesh allocation requirements may significantly increase the queuing delay of the rest of jobs. Under such circumstances, our strategy further tries to allocate L-shaped submeshes instead of signaling the allocation failure unlike other strategies. We have developed the efficient algorithm to find the allocatable L-shaped submeshes. Thus, our strategy reduces the mean response time by minimizing the queuing delay, even though jobs are scheduled in an FCFS to preserve fairness. The simulations show that our strategy performs more efficiently than other strategies in terms of the job response time and the system utilization.

  • 본 논문은 시간지연을 갖는 이산 비선형 시스템에 대한 점근적 안정화 및 $H_{\infty}$ 성능을 갖는 퍼지 제어기 설계 방법을 제안한다. 시간지연을 갖는 이산 Takagi-Sugeno 퍼지 모델에 대한 점근적 안정화 및 $H_{\infty}$ 성능을 만족하는 제어기 존재조건을 선형행렬부등식으로 나타낸다. 리아프노프 함수에 조정파라미터를 도입함으로써 제어기 존재조건을 조정파라미터를 포함하는 선형행렬 부등식으로 나타낸다. 선형행렬부등식에 있는 조정 파라미터를 조정함으로써 시스템의 응답속도 및 오버슈트 등의 동적 성능을 개선시킬 수 있다.

Development of Wireless Smart Sensing Framework for Structural Health Monitoring of High-speed Railway Bridges (고속 철도 교량의 구조 건전성 모니터링을 위한 스마트 무선 센서 프레임워크 개발)

  • Railroad bridges account for 25% of the entire high-speed rail network. Railway bridges are subject to gradual structural degradation or fatigue accumulation due to consistent and repeating excitation by fast moving trains. Wireless sensing technology has opened up a new avenue for bridge health monitoring owing to its low-cost, high fidelity, and multiple sensing capability. On the other hand, measuring the transient response during train passage is quite challenging that the current wireless sensor system cannot be applied due to the intrinsic time delay of the sensor network. Therefore, this paper presents a framework for monitoring such transient responses with wireless sensing systems using 1) real-time excessive vibration monitoring through ultra-low-power MEMS accelerometers, and 2) post-event time synchronization scheme. The ultra-low power accelerometer continuously monitors the vibration and trigger network when excessive vibrations are detected. The entire network of wireless smart sensors starts sensing through triggering and the post-event time synchronization is conducted to compensate for the time error on the measured responses. The results of this study highlight the potential of detecting the impact load and triggering the entire network, as well as the effectiveness of the post-event time synchronized scheme for compensating for the time error. A numerical and experimental study was carried out to validate the proposed sensing hardware and time synchronization method.
