Overmodulation Operation of SVM for NPC Type 3-Level Inverter (NPC형 3레벨 인버터의 공간벡터 과변조운전)

  • This paper proposes a linearization technique for the 3-level NPC type inverter, which increases the linear control range of Inverter up to the one-pulse inverter. The overmodulation range is divided into two modes depending on the Modulation Index, MI. In overmodulation region I, the reference angles are derived from the fourier series expansion of the reference voltage corresponding to the MI. In overmodulation region II, the holding angles are also derived in the same way. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the linear control and the maximized utilization of PWM inverter output voltage.

  • This test was performed to assess the insulation deterioration condition of the stator winding of 3.3kV class induction motors which have been in service for 15 years after being installed in 1988. The insulation diagnostic tests include resistance, polarization index(P.I). dissipation factor(${\Delta}tan{\delta}$) and maximum partial discharges(Qmax). The results of diagnostic tests were compared to the visual inspection in overhaul.

  • The single-phase line start permanent magnet motor(LSPM) have a rotor cage bar for induction starting and permanent magnets, providing synchronous torque. So, LSPM is vary complex and difficult to analysis transient characteristics and rotor design. In this paper, F.E.M analysis about single-phase line start permanent magnet motor and compare of the single-phase line start permanent magnet synchronous motor's transient characteristics by size and position of rotor bar.

  • A linear induction motor conveyance system with longitudinal and transverse rails is manufactured. which is controlled by programmable logic controller(PLC). The linear induction motor has a cage-type secondary and the total number of the installed primaries is 10. Four secondaries are installed on the below surface of the moving carrier. In this paper, the developed conveyance system is introduced and its PLC control characteristics for the longitudial and transverse moving directions are presented.

  • A aluminum recycling industry is one of new application of Linear Induction Motor(LIM). As the example a melting furnace. which is using LIM, to melt conductor which is chipped and scrapped is supposed for the aluminum recycling industry. So, in this paper, the LIM for melting furnace are designed. And a electro-magnetical characteristic of designed model is analyzed by 2D-FEM.

  • It is difficult to realize the complicate SUM which is applied vector control system, but widely used in AC motor vector motor control system or servo control system because of its high performance in current control. In this paper, we use the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode that can calculate efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating SLIM system modeling and doing simulation of output characteristics of vector controller.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of capacitor-run single phase induction motor by equivalent circuit. The unbalanced elliptic rotating magnetic field of the motor was analysed by the symmetrical coordinate method. And this paper check the reliability of characteristic analysis by equivalent circuit in comparison with experimental results and analyse the characteristics of single phase induction motors by changing circuit parameters. Finally, this paper shows the improved effiency design motor by using that result.

  • Because most LIM is driven by inverter, input voltage is involved with the time harmonics. Therefore the equiLlQ/ent circuit for an inverter-fed LIM has to be modified to represent every harmonics present in supply voltage. This paper analyzes the characteristics and loss of LIM to construct the equivalent circuit for each time harmonics through the static test and theoretical analysis. To make an analysis of nonsinusoidal supply waveforms, it is developed the simulation program to calculate the RMS, peak value and THD for any waveforms expressing Fourier series.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new method which does not need no load test for the characteristics analysis of linear induction motor. A new equivalent circuit of LIM is chosen and a method of determining its constants from results of the lock test is discussed. The calculated results were satisfactorily agreed with experimental results and conventional method.

  • There are two kinds of the synchronous motor, one is an induction type motor started without a driving system, the other is the one started with an external driving system. but, both are complicated. Nowadays, in order to devoid for the synchronous motor being complicated in design, line start permanent magnet(LSPM) motors are being developed. The LSPM motor is composed of the rotor that has interior permanent magnet and aluminum bar instead of general rotor. In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of the LSPM motor which has both characteristics of an induction motor and a synchronous motor, and we compared the the LSPM motor characteristics with the induction motor.
