  • Service operating management to keep stable and effective environment according as user increase and network environment of the Internet become complex gradually and requirements of offered service and user become various is felt constraint gradually. To solve this problem, invasion confrontation system through proposed this log analysis can be consisted as search of log file that is XML's advantage storing log file by XML form is easy and fast, and can have advantage log files of system analyze unification and manages according to structure anger of data. Also, created log file by Internet Protocol Address sort by do log and by Port number sort do log, invasion type sort log file and comparative analysis created in other invasion feeler system because change sort to various form such as do log by do logarithm, feeler time possible.

  • Ultra-wideband communication systems for impulse radio have merits that are possible for either high resolution ranging system or radio determination. Conventionally, in order to accomplish these functions, the rapid analog to digital convertor (ADC) is necessary to apply radio determination system operating in time domain. However, considering that low rate - wireless personal area network (LR-WPAN) aims to low-cost hardware implementation, the expensive ADC converting GHz sampling per second is not appropriate. So, this paper introduces the high resolution ranging system operating in frequency domain with using low sampling rate ADC, and a new non-coherent ranging scheme utilizing analog Frequency Modulation (FM) mode for the frequency domain transformation. To verify the superiority of the proposed ranging algorithm working in frequency domain, the suggested IEEE 802.15.4a TG channel model is used to exploit affirmative features of the proposed algorithm with conducting the simulation results.

Adaptive Link Recovery Period Determination Algorithm for Structured Peer-to-peer Networks (구조화된 Peer-to-Peer 네트워크를 위한 적응적 링크 복구 주기 결정 알고리듬)

  • Structured P2P (peer-to-peer) networks have received much attention in research communities and the industry. The data stored in structured P2P networks can be located in a log-scale time without using central severs. The link-structure of structured P2P networks should be maintained for keeping log-scale search performance of it. When nodes join or leave structured P2P networks frequently, some links become unavailable and search performance is degraded by these links. To sustain search performance of structured P2P networks, periodic link recovery scheme is generally used. However, when the link recovery period is short or long compared with node join and leave rates, it is possible that sufficient number of links are not restored or excessive messages are used after the link-structure is restored. We propose the adaptive link recovery determination algorithm to maintain the link-structure of structured P2P networks when the rates of node joining and leaving are changed dynamically. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can maintain similar QoS under various node leaving rates.

  • Direct acting pressure relief valve applicable to propellant tank of launch vehicle is modeled in this study The flow resistance of the partially opened valve is modeled as a function of the distance of the valve stem from the resting position. The position of the valve varies transiently as a function of its mass, the spring force, sliding friction, and the pressure differential. Choking at valve throat and compressibility are considered for the analysis. This study presents systematic analysis method for pressure relief valve applicable to propellant tank of liquid rocket. The results shows transient flow resistance caused by stem motion and the importance of choking at valve throat for pressure relief valve design.

  • We investigated ethanol production from glycerol after screening of the yeast Pachysolen tannophilus ATCC 32691. For yeast to produce ethanol form glycerol, it is important that aeration is finely controlled. Therefore, we attempted to produce ethanol using a surface-aerated fermentor. When 880 ml of YPG medium (1% yeast extract, 2% peptone, 2% glycerol) was used to produce ethanol, the optimal aeration conditions for ethanol production were a surface aeration rate and agitation speed of 500 ml/min and 300 rpm, respectively. In a fed-batch culture, the maximum ethanol production and the maximum ethanol yield from glycerol (Ye/g) was 5.74 g/l and 0.166, respectively, after 90 hr using the surface-aerated fermentor.

  • To account for the influence of heavy storm in Korea by climate change like global warming, the frequency analyses for annual maximum rainfall sequence in 12 rainfall gauge stations are carried out. In order to analyze the temporal change, the rainfall quantile of each station is estimated by the 30-yr data period being moved from 1954 to 1998 with 1-yr lag. Through the analysis for l00-yr rainfall quantile it has been shown that the recent heavy storms increase comparing with storms in the past. From the additional estimating of the rainfall quantile of each station by the 30-yr data period being cumulated from 1954 to 1998 with 1-yr, the change of the probable rainfall by including the heavy storm duration is realized. When the hydraulic structures are determined, it is important to select the data size and necessary to reestimate the flood prevention capacity in existing river systems.ystems.

  • The study is the open area keeping a few visible satellites and the urban area covered with the high building, an electric pole were chosen for evaluation of accuracy of satellite positioning. First, suggest the validity of RTK-GPS, RTK-GPS/GLONASS and compared the accuracy with that of the classical surveying method. As a result. In urban area, in case of real time kinematic positioning when compare between the method combined by GPS/GLONASS and by GPS alone the result of GPS/GLONASS - combination more excellent. And in open ana positioning combined GPS/GLONASS was more excellent than GPS alone in both real time differential and real time kinematic. So, RTK-GPS, RTK-GPS/GLONASS contribute to the digital mapping of Basic map and the existed map necessary for the building of PBLIS to the computerization of cadastral map in the effectiveness in time and in cost and hereafter the combined GPS/TS is expected to contribute to the development of NGIS, Re-investigation of a land register, the execution drawing on site.

A study on the acoustic emission characteristics of laminated composite structures (복합재료 적층 구조물의 음향방출 특성 연구)

  • This paper studied the AE(acoustic emission) characteristics of the laminated composite structures. The composite stiffened panels under the compressive loading emitted various AE signals when they buckled or changed the buckling modes. In addition, the failure initiated and propagation generated a lot of complex signals. From the continuous signal generation. we identified when the failures initiated and whether they propagated or not. The single lap joint of laminated plates under tensional load also generated AE signals when bonding region failed. The first failure occurrence and its propagation are monitored by generated AE signals. The characteristics of AE signals used in this analysis are cumulative hits, hit distribution, peak frequency of generated AE waveform and amplitude of signals. The analysis of AE signals shows that continuous increment of cumulative hits can be regarded as damage propagation and three dominant peak frequencies can correspond to typical failure modes in the laminated composites.

  • The average probability of a lightning strike to transport aircraft operating in airline service has been estimated to be approximately one strike in every year (or one strike per 1,000 through 20,000 flight hours). The important thing is not the probability of a lightning strike to aircraft, but the fact that aircraft is struck by lightning. Therefore, lightning protection design for aircraft should be qualified and compliance with airworthiness standards related to lightning protection must be substantiated in the process of certification. In this paper, I studied means of compliance for lightning protection through analysis of some test cases, including the KC-100 airplane that firstly obtained civil type certificate in Korea. Based on this paper, it will be also necessary to study on the effect of lightning for space launch vehicles.

  • At a Internet service provider(ISP), field human resources visit many customers sites to provide multimedia services to customers in ubiquitous environment. Scheduling the resources is a hard problem because there are many tasks which have to be done by the resources and the number of the resources is not sufficient. To tackle this problem, ISPs had used team-based scheduling system. However, this aporoach was not sufficient to reduce the number of frequent changes of arrival time and could not increase operational efficiency. We also developed an optimal resource selection algorithm based on statistical information when an operator assigns a task to the resource. After we adopted this algorithm to the real world, the resources can do more tasks in a day.
