  • This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of the feeding value for the wild legumes silage-making with additives. The chopped Kudzu (Puerarie thunbergii Bentham) of wild legumes was ensiled by the conventional method in the small experimental silo of 2 liters. The additives used in the present experiments were water (8%),water (8%) plus corn starch (3%) and water (8%) plus glucose (3%). These additives as well as that of control without additive were set up and these silage were compared with the conventional corn silage. The fermentative qualities and the characteristic of fiber (neutral detergent fiber, NDF; acid detergent fiber, ADF; acid detergent lignin, ADL) of silage produced was determined by chemical analysis, and dry matter digestibility (DMD) was evaluated by pepsin-cellulase technique. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1 The weight of Kudzu silage was lost under the 10% for all the treatments. 2 In degree of pH for the Kudzu silages with glucose, starch, control and water treatments were high 3.80,4.04,4.57 and 5.34, respectively.

Effects of nutrient and salinity in egg and larval development of Aedes togoi (영양과 염도가 토고숲모기 (Aenes togoi)의 난 및 유충발육에 미치는 영향)

  • The study made an observation on periodicity of oviposition, and the effects of nutrient and salinity in egg un larval development of Aedes togoi, and the results are summarized as follows: The 53.9% mosquitoes of one feeding laid eggs once, 26.9% laid hice and 19.2% laid three times. Autogenous rate of Aedes togoi reared in three different nutrient groups in larval stage was 6.9% in 0.8 mg/larva, 22.5% in 1.6 mg/larva and 44.4% in 2.4 mg/larva. The oviposition rate according to different salinity of the oviposition sites (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0% and 4.0%) was 25.2% in distilled water, 36.2% in 0.5% salinity 23.5% in 1.0% salinity and 14.6% in 2.0% salinity. Developing period of the aquatic stage of male Aedes toBoi in $25^{\circ}C$ were shorter (10.73 days) than females (11.85 days). The most effective concentration of salinity for the developing period was 1.0% which took 9.25 days in males and 10.44 days in females. In the developmental status of the follicles according to nutrition in the larval stage, the numbers of follicles of groups fed 0.8 mg, 1.6 mg and 2.4 mg per larva were 180.7, 197.% and 202 respectively. The result of ovary dissection on the 1 with day after emergence, three different nutrition groups were in Christopher's stage IIa mostly; each 71.0%, 61.1% and 39.9% of the total follicles and autogenous females observed.

The Survey of Actual Using Conditions of Farm-Made Liquid Fertilizers for Cultivating Environment-friendly Agricultural Products (친환경 농산물 재배를 위한 농가 자가제조 액비 사용실태)

  • We conducted a survey of actual using conditions of farm-made liquid fertilizers by investigating their formulation types, materials, making processes, using methods and various beneficial effects on 29 farms certified by National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service to produce environment-friendly agricultural products in 2009. Most of the materials used to make liquid fertilizers are those that can be easily obtained around the farms. Molasses or black sugar are added as an energy source of microorganism. And leaf mold, bacterial cultures supplied by agricultural extension centers of local governments, and cultures of native microorganisms were used as microbial sources for fermenting effective microorganisms. Types of the farm-made liquid fertilizers were fermented liquid fertilizers, fermented plant juices, amino acid liquid fertilizers, calcium-liquid fertilizers, and phosphoric acid liquid fertilizers. Effects of liquid fertilizers used by the farms were found to promote plant growth by supplying nutrition, to accelerate blooming and flower bud formation, to enhance the quality of agricultural products such as increase of sugar contents and improvement of storing conditions, to induce resistance against diseases and insect pests, and to cause endurance to high temperature stress. Chemical properties of the liquid fertilizers collected were analyzed. As a result, pH and EC range showed differences according to kinds of the liquid fertilizers. Amount of macro-nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphoric acid, in most of the collected liquid fertilizers, was found to be low. Even though the liquid fertilizers were made from same materials, their contents was found to be different depending on the making process.

  • 질소 및 인 동시제거 공정 중 대표적인 연속회분식반응조(Sequencing Batch reactor: SBR)는 비교적 간편한 운전방법과 저렴한 건설비, 유입수의 부하변동에 큰 영향을 받지 않는 소규모 하수처리에 적합한 공정으로 알려져 있다. 또한 SBR 공정은 기존 활성슬러지 공법에 비해 적은 부지로 많은 양의 폐수를 처리할 수 있고 유입수 수질 및 유량변동에 따라 다양한 운전주기를 변화할 수 있으며, 유기물 제거뿐만 아니라 반응조의 변형에 의해 영양염류의 제거가 가능한 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 bench scale SBR 실험을 통하여 질산염의 탈질속도 및 용해성 인의 흡수와 방출속도를 측정하고, SBR 공정의 무산소조건에서 인흡수 및 탈질을 동시에 수행하는 DPB 존재의 가능성을 파악하고자 하였다. 연구결과 무산소조건에서 S-P의 방출과 흡수가 동시에 진행되었으며, 무산소조건에서 S-P의 방출속도는 $0.08{\sim}0.94\;kgS-P/kgMLSS{\cdot}d$, 흡수속도는 $0.012{\sim}0.1\;kgS-P/kgMLSS{\cdot}d$를 나타내었다. 무산소조에서 S-P의 방출 및 흡수가 진행되는 동안 탈질과정도 함께 진행되었으며, 각각의 F/M비에서 탈질속도를 측정한 결과 F/M비 $0.44\;kgCOD/kgMLSS{\cdot}d$에서는 최대 $0.16\;kgNO_3^-N/kgMLSS{\cdot}d$의 탈질속도를 나타내었다. S-P이 방출되지 않는 경우와 방출되는 경우의 비탈질속도를 비교한 결과 S-P이 방출되지 않는 경우의 비탈질속도가 S-P이 방출되는 경우의 비탈질속도보다 높았다. 이렇게 S-P이 방출되는 경우의 비탈질속도가 더 낮은 이유는 무산소 조건에서 탈질과 S-P의 방출 및 흡수가 동시에 일어나는 경우 S-P의 방출에 관여하는 미생물과 탈질에 관여하는 미생물간의 경쟁반응 때문으로 판단된다.응답법의 적용이 가능함을 보였고, 이는 보다 복잡한 관망에서의 천이류 해석이 가능함을 시사한다.$경상도지리지$\lrcorner$(慶尙道地理志)에는 상주가 8곳으로 1/3의 자기 생산을 담당하고 있었다. $\ulcorner$경상도지리지$\lrcorner$(慶尙道地理志)에는 $\ulcorner$세종실록$\lrcorner$(世宗實錄) $\ulcorner$지리지$\lrcorner$(地理志)와 동년대에 동일한 목적으로 찬술되었음을 알 수 있다. $\ulcorner$경상도실록지리지$\lrcorner$(慶尙道實錄地理志)에는 $\ulcorner$세종실록$\lrcorner$(世宗實錄) $\ulcorner$지리지$\lrcorner$(地理志)와의 비교를 해보면 상 중 하품의 통합 9개소가 삭제되어 있고, $\ulcorner$동국여지승람$\lrcorner$(東國與地勝覽) 에서는 자기소와 도기소의 위치가 완전히 삭제되어 있다. 이러한 현상은 첫째, 15세기 중엽 경제적 태평과 함께 백자의 수요 생산이 증가하자 군신의 변별(辨別)과 사치를 이유로 강력하게 규제하여 백자의 확대와 발전에 걸림돌이 되었다. 둘째, 동기(銅器)의 대체품으로 자기를 만들어 충당해야할 강제성 당위성 상실로 인한 자기수요 감소를 초래하였을 것으로 사료된다. 셋째, 경기도 광주에서 백자관요가 운영되었으므로 지방인 상주지역에도 더 이상 백자를 조달받을 필요가 없이, 일반 지방관아와 서민들의 일상용기 생산으로 전락하여 소규모화 되었을 것이라고 사료된다.장 운동기능을 향상시키는 유효성분의 보강 등이 필요하다는 점도 알 수 있었다.더불어 산화물질 해독에 관여하는 다른 유전자

Comparison of Quality Characteristics of Soybean Curd and Whole Soybean Curd (전두부와 일반두부의 품질 특성 비교)

  • Soybean curd (SC) is prepared through the elimination of water-insoluble components and molding by pressing. However, whole soybean curd (WSC) is made without the elimination of water-insoluble components and pressing. Therefore, it was considered that the components contained in WSC might be different from those in SC and we compared their contents of various components, hardness, and morphological features for this study. Ash, dietary fiber, and niacin contents were significantly higher in WSC than in SC. In addition, the carbohydrate and vitamin $K_1$ contents of WSC tended to be higher than those in SC, whereas the hardness of WSC was lower than that of SC. Moreover, electron microscopic analysis showed that the morphological characteristic of WSC consisted of considerably more fine retiform tissues in comparison to SC. Based on their compared nutrition, functional, and quality characteristics, it was suggested that WSC might be superior to SC.

Manufacturing Multi-degradable Food Packaging Films and Their Degradibility (복합분해성 플라스틱 식품포장 필름의 제조 및 분해성)

  • Multi-degradable master hatch (M/B) was prepared and 0.05 mm polyethylene (PP) food packaging films containing 0, 10, and 20% M/B were manufactured by inflation film processing. The films were exposed to UV radiation, fungi, and heat in order to observe their photolysis, biodegradability, and thermal degradability, respectively. While pure PP film maintained more than 70% of its original elongation after 8 weeks of UV radiation, an almost perfect loss in the elongation of PP film containing 20% M/B was observed. Significant decreases in elongation of PP films by heat treatment $(68{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$ were also found in samples containing the multi-degradable M/B. By observing changes in film surface after the inoculation of fungi using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the biodegradability of plastic film could be accelerated with the addition of multi-degradable M/B. The results of the mulching test in yard showed that adding multi-degradable M/B can effectively degrade plastic films in natural environmental conditions without interrupting the growth of plants.

Effect of Vapor-Cooled Heat Stations in a Cryogenic Vessel (극저온액체 저장용기에서 열전도 차폐단의 영향)

  • An experimental study on effect of vapor-cooled heat stations in a 5.5 liter cryogenic vessel has been performed. The cryogenic vessel is made of stainless steel of thickness of 1mm and insulated by the combined insulation of vacuum, MLI(multi-layer insulation) and vapor-cooled radiation shield. Vapor-cooled heat stations are also constructed based on the 1-dimensional thermal analysis to reduce the heat inleak through a filling tube. Thermal analysis indicates that the vapor-cooled heat stations can substantially enhance the performance of vessel for cryogenic fluids with high $C_p/h_{fg}$ where $C_p$ the specific heat and $h_{fg}$ the heat of vaporization, such as $LH_2$ and LHe. The experimental results for $LN_2$ shows that the total heat inleak into inner vessel consists of 14% radiation and 86% conduction through the filling tube. Therefore, it is expected that the conduction heat in leak of the vessel for high $C_p/h_{fg}$ cryogenic fluids can be significantly reduced. powders. The amount of copper coating was 20wt%. In order to examine corrosion behavior of the electrodes, the corrosion current and the current density, in 6M KOH aqueous solution after removal of oxygen in the solution, were measured by potentiodynamic and cyclic voltamo methods. The results showed that Co in the alloy increased corrosion resistance of the electrode whereas Ni decreased the stability of the electrode during the charge-discharge cycles. The electrode used Si sealant as a binder showed a lower corrosion current density than the electrode used PTFE and the electrode used Cu-coated alloy powders showed the best corrosion resistance.

Experimental Investigation of the Combined Effects of Heat Exchanger Geometries on Nucleate Pool Boiling Heat Transfer in a Scaled IRWST (열교환기 형상이 축소한 IRWST 내부의 풀핵비등에 미치는 복합적인 영향에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • In an effort to determine the combined effects of major parameters of heat exchanger tubes on the nucleate pool boiling heat transfer in the scaled in-containment refueling water storage tank (IRWST), a total of 1,966 data for q'quot; versus ${\Delta}T$ has been obtained using various combinations of tube diameters, surface roughness, and tube orientations. The experimental results show that (1) increased surface roughness enhances heat transfer for both horizontal and vertical tubes, (2) the two heat transfer mechanisms, i.e.,enhanced heat transfer for both horizontal and vertical tubes, (2) the two heat transfer mechanisms, i.e., enhanced heat transfer due to liquid agitation by bubbles generated and reduced heat transfer by the formation of large vapor slugs and bubble coalescence are different in two regions of low heat fluxes (q'quot; $\leq$50kW/$m^2)$ and high heat fluxes (q'quot; $\geq$50kW/$m^2)$ depending on the orientation of tubes and the degree of surface roughness, and (3) the heat transfer rate decreases as the tube diameter is increased for both horizontal and vertical tubes, but the effect of tube diameter on the nucleate pool boiling heat transfer for vertical tubes is greater than that for horizontal tubes. Two empirical heat transfer correlations for q'quot;, one for horizontal tubes and the other for vertical tubes, are obtained in terms of surface roughness $({\varepsilon})$ and tube diameter (D).   • The random amplified polymorphic DNAs (RAPD) technique was used to characterize seven isolates of the green seaweed Ulvales collected from Songjeng, Haeundae, Jumunjin, Dadaepo and Wando in Korea. Total DNA was extracted by the LiCl extraction method from thalli of green seaweed. The extracted DNA (3 ng) in $25{\mu}\ell$ reaction volume was amplified by 45 cycles of the polymerase chain reaction with arbitrary primers. Thirty-four primers resulted in 1227 PCR products ranged 240 bp to 1.5 kb of both conserved and polymorphic bands. Genetic similarities of the seven isolates calculated by Jaccard's equation were ranged from $7\%\;to\;36\%$. Monostroma nitidum (Wando) was shown to be most distantly related with the others based on genetic similarity and did not produce the amplified band of 630 bp, common in Ulvales using primer OPB-01 (CATCCCCTG).

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for determining when a school established long term school plans accepted by analyzing the trend of increase or decrease elementary school students 30 years to target of following nine cities, 607 elementary schools in Korea - 4 metropolitan cities(Incheon, Seongnam, Su-won and Anyang), 2 central regional cities (Daejeon and Cheongju) and 3 southern regional cities(Busan, Yangsan and Kimhae) for this purpose. Results of this study are as follows: First, there were overwhelming numbers of type5 among15 types of increase / decrease in the number of students. Second, in comparison with the type of increase / decrease of the number of students by region, the metropolitan area is ranked as type5>type13>type10>type8, in the middle region type5>type11>type10>type13 and in southern region type5>type10>type11>type13>type2. Therefore, there were regional differences in the number of students. Third, the results of the Conflict Model I and Conflict Model II showed that Type1 and Type7 were not needed to be adopted.
