The ongoing Yongsan Park development project began in 1988 with the development of a utilization plan for the US Army base in Yongsan after the Army relocation. This study aimed to draw implications for the Yongsan Park project by focusing on Yongsan Family Park. Among the public records of Yongsan Park and Yongsan Family Park transferred to the Seoul Metropolitan Archives, 53 major records were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, Yongsan Family Park, built on the site of the US Army golf course in 1992, was considered a part of the Yongsan Park plan and holds status as the first phase of the Yongsan Park project. Second, despite its status, Yongsan Family Park opened as a temporary park occupied by urban facilities. A design and detailed roadmap of the development process is necessary to make Yongsan Park more resilient. Third, organizing and systematizing public records is necessary because lessons learned through past park development processes can be applied to the current project. This study is meaningful since it uncovered important issues of urban planning discussed in the process of Yongsan Family Park development through a complete analysis of public records, examined the linkage between Yongsan Family Park, which was not known until now, and the ongoing Yongsan Park project, and reaffirmed the importance of park archiving for long-term development projects.
The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze information related to water leaks that cannot be easily accessed, and utilized by using the news search results that people can easily access. We applied a web crawling technique for extracting big data news on water leakage accidents in the water supply system and presented an algorithm in a procedural way to obtain accurate leak accident news. In addition, a data analysis technique suitable for water leakage accident information analysis was developed so that additional information such as the date and time of occurrence, cause of occurrence, location of occurrence, damaged facilities, damage effect. The primary goal of value extraction through big data-based leak analysis proposed in this study is to extract a meaningful value through comparison with the existing waterworks statistical results. In addition, the proposed method can be used to effectively respond to consumers or determine the service level of water supply networks. In other words, the presentation of such analysis results suggests the need to inform the public of information such as accidents a little more, and can be used in conjunction to prepare a radio wave and response system that can quickly respond in case of an accident.
Based on the challenges encountered in the urban regeneration projects (general neighborhood-type) of Anjung District and Sinjang District in Pyeongtaek City, this study aims to explore the key factors of improvement measures for urban regeneration projects. Using the first survey conducted among shopping mall owners, employees, and residents, this study finds a significant level of awareness and very strong needs for urban regeneration projects. On the other hand, the overall satisfaction levels are observed to be low across the three factors: social, economic, and cultural. The second expert survey and the subsequent Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis conducted for improvement measures reveal notable discrepancies in the prioritization of factors between administrative experts and practical experts. For the importance of administrative experts, the establishment of network-type regional governance was ranked first for the importance, followed by hosting events related to the U.S. military and long-term pre-market operations, and expanding exchange and cooperation between the U.S. Forces Korea and the community. For the importance of working-level experts, hosting U.S. military-related events and long-term pre-market operations was ranked first, while supporting U.S. military-related festivals and developing local natural landscape resources was ranked second. Our findings suggest the need for proactive measures such as attracting commercial facilities to stimulate demand from both the U.S. military and local residents, thereby revitalizing general neighborhood-type urban regeneration projects, developing programs for local tourism, and operating pre-market operations in the long run. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of regional government cooperation for urban regeneration projects.

The importance of using construction data is increasing in accordance with the recent trend in the smart construction. However, construction project and maintenance information is distributed on the web, and the existing BIM(Building Information Modeling) information exchange and linking method using IFC(Industry Foundation Classes) cannot support connection with BIM data and web resources. This study aims to establish the BIM-based port facility data integration system using linked data(LD) technology in order to integrate BIM and heterogeneous data in the port maintenance domain. To this end, the port BIM-based ifcOWL and port facility maintenance ontology were designed, and LD was built for the BIM and maintenance information of Busan New Port 2-1 Pier3, a BIM pilot project. In addition, service prototypes such as search, statistics and SPARQL(SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language) endpoint functions were implemented using the issued LD. The LD-based information utilization system is expected to improve the reusability of information by converting the existing closed information system into an open system and BIM and maintenance data as a web resource in a standard format.
This article was prepared for the purpose of reviewing maintenance plans and strategies for designating the celadon kiln site in Banam-ri, Gochang, a monument designated by the city and province as a historical site. Prior to the discussion, the high academic potential of this site, which is attracting attention as a main point of early celadon main point, was explained, and expectations for the future designation of the monument were reviewed. Next, the current status of preservation and maintenance plans of the celadon kiln site in Banam-ri, Gochang were examined. In particular, the current preservation situation was reviewed through an on-site survey on how the ruins, which have not been designated as a monument, should be maintained for historical designation in the future. Above all, it was argued that it was necessary to conduct excavation and literature surveys to clarify the characteristics of the ruins, investigate the surrounding areas, improve information facilities for visitors, and carry out promotion in connection with them. Finally, the definition of historical sites and the status of historical designation of ceramic kilns, along with the strategies necessary for designation, were presented. In particular, the examples of the existing historical designated celadon kiln site in Dotong-ri, Jinan, and Buncheong Kiln Site in Undae-ri, Goheung were reviewed, and three types of excavation surveys, literature surveys, and academic conferences were presented as the target directions for historical designation. The result of the excavation survey is the basis for suggesting that it has cultural property values with completeness, authenticity, and identity. The literature survey is the basis for supplementing the historical and cultural character of the remains that have not been revealed by excavation. The academic conference explained that it is an opportunity to understand the nature and value of cultural assets, such as the location of cultural assets, the status of relics, and events related to relics.

The purpose of all public libraries is to provide knowledge and information services for the intellectual and reading activities of local residents, program services that provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment and lifelong learning, and third-party spaces and facilities that contribute to the development of the community. To this end, social needs must be reflected in a timely manner with the establishment of a sound infrastructure as a prerequisite. This study analyzed the current status centered on key indicators of the public libraries in Daegu City and presented policy issues that need to be improved through a survey. The key indicators in Daegu City, compared to the national average, were not only significantly weak for the 3rd largest city but also showed considerable variation among local governments. While Daegu citizens valued public libraries in their daily lives, the dissatisfaction rate was high in the order of transportation inconvenience, lack of necessary materials and desired programs, and various regulations. Therefore, Daegu City should focus on increasing the acquisition budget, strengthening the development of new book collections, expanding the number of librarians, expanding the construction of public libraries to address service disparities among local governments, improving accessibility, and addressing factors that hinder usage. In addition, with the establishment and operation of the Daegu Library in 2024, efforts should be made to establish an operational system for public libraries, expand the scope through collaborative partnerships with other knowledge and cultural institutions, and enhance knowledge and cultural services for the Daegu citizen.

This study suggests the drought resilience index as S-day as a means of preparing for the recent extreme drought, allowing for the actual operational identification of each drought countermeasure's priority as well as the vulnerability of water resource facilities to drought. Although each dam's drought measures are unique in this case, the representative examples include adjusting the water supply, linking the functioning of various facilities, and considering emergency capacity. Here, 15 multipurpose dams and water supply dams in Korea were inspected. Under the return period of 20-year drought, most of dams showed stable by adjusting the water supply overall. The measures, however, did not seem to be able to resist a multi-year drought lasting more than two years. Besides, Hoengseong and Anodong-Imha Dam only lasted a year under the 100-year drought return period with other measures. Without the deployment of drought mitigation strategies, it is expected that the Hoengseong Dam, Andong-Imha Dam, Gunwi Dam, Unmun Dam, Daecheong Dam, and Juam Dam would not be able to meet the all water demand for a year under the 20-year drought condition. The ideal capacity for each drought measure was then suggested. Additionally, by increasing or decreasing the current supply contract by 10% in order to account for demand changes resulting from socio-economic instability, the drought response capacity of all 15 dams was re-evaluated. By lowering the supply contract amount by 10%, it was possible to endure a severe drought.

According to the post evaluation scheme in Korea of a public construction project which is more than 30 Billion KRW, project performance is evaluated by investigating outcomes and effects of the construction after the completion of the project. The current post evaluation results can be used for planning and estimating a construction project in the future. However, it is not easy to utilized for an on-going project because the system does not provide the phase-based performance of a project. Although project planning performance is important for project initiation, few attempt has been made to evaluate planning performance in Korea. The purpose of this study is to provide a conceptual performance evaluation of planning performance using preliminary feasibility study conducted by Korea Development Institute. This study developed a planning performance database using data extracted from preliminary feasibility study reports of the completed 354 road construction projects. This study analyzed the performance of the planning stage of road projects by developing absolute metrics such as standard construction cost and standard construction schedule based on a Lane-Km. Using the standard construction cost and schedule metrics, the planning performance was analyzed by project characteristics. The results of this study can be used for phase-based performance evaluation from planning phase to construction phase.

Monitoring and control of the greenhouse environment play a decisive role in greenhouse crop production processes. The network system for greenhouse control was developed by using recent technologies of networking and wireless communications. In this paper, a remote monitoring and control system for greenhouse using a smartphone and a computer with internet has been developed. The system provides real-time remote greenhouse integrated management service which collects greenhouse environment information and controls greenhouse facilities based on sensors and equipments network. Graphical user interface for an integrated management system was designed with bases on the HMI and the experimental results showed that a sensor data and device status were collected by integrated management in real-time. Because the sensor data and device status can be displayed on a web page, transmitted using the server program to remote computer and mobile smartphone at the same time. The monitored-data can be downloaded, analyzed and saved from server program in real-time via mobile phone or internet at a remote place. Performance test results of the greenhouse control system has confirmed that all work successfully in accordance with the operating conditions. And data collections and display conditions, event actions, crops and equipments monitoring showed reliable results.
In order to understand how to increase the use of virtual training content at K University's online lifelong education institute, this study examined the use experience, content recognition, field practice replacement, and requirements, focusing on the examples of operating institutions. To this end, 12 institutions that operated virtual training contents distributed by the K University Online Lifelong Education Center in 2020 were selected for in-depth interviews and qualitative analysis was conducted on the interviews of 11 institutions. As a result of the analysis, first, the experience of using the contents of the virtual training operating institution was aimed at changing the educational environment, supplementing theoretical learning, and improving the sense of practice. Second, according to a survey on the recognition of virtual training content, if the importance and utilization of the content are high, it can be replaced by on-site practice in non-face-to-face classes, such as experiences of facilities and equipment, attracting interest and attention. Third, in many cases, the perception of replacement for field practice is not unreasonable to use as a pre-training material for field practice, but it is difficult to replace field practice. Fourth, content quality improvements can be summarized as content quality improvement, content access and manipulation improvement, dedicated device development, training for instructors, and curriculum systematization. Fifth, institutional requirements include improving the quality of virtual training content itself, equipment support, curriculum systemization and characterization, systematic curriculum and detailed content sharing, detailed guidance on using virtual training content, introducing how to use content, and recruiting instructors. This study is meaningful in that it sought ways to improve the utilization of virtual training content based on the perception of virtual training content operating institutions.
