Comparison of Storability of Fresh Parsley Grown in Different Seasons in MA Storage (재배시기에 따른 파슬리의 MA저장시 저장성 비교)

  • This study was conducted to find out the influence of cultivation season for fresh parsley in modified atmosphere storage. As the qualities of fresh parsley grown in different seasons; autumn, winter, summer were compared, the chlorophyll and vitamin C showed the highest content in autumn and winter cultivation, respectively, but the firmness was the highest in summer cultivation treatment. These fresh parsleys grown in different seasons packaged with 0.04mm ceramic film and stored at $0^{\circ}C$. The shelf life of these parsleys were 84 days in winter cultivation treatment, while parsleys cultivated in autumn and summer were able to be stored for 77 days and 56 days, respectively. The fresh weight loss of parsley was much more higher in summer than in both autumn and winter cultivation treatments. The carbon dioxide and ethylene contents in packages in summer were more than twice as high in autumn and winter cultivation treatment. There were not different between autumn and winter cultivation treatment in the two kinds of gas contents. This result should be caused by higher field heat that increased a respiration remarkably during the early storage. The highest field heat produced by summer cultivation resulted in remarkable decreases of firmness, chlorophyll and vitamin C during MA storage. As the results, the fresh parsley showed highest storability in winter cultivation treatment. The field heat of fresh parsley should be eliminated just after harvest for a long term storage.

  • Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) fruits were grown by the hydroponic cultivation system using perlite and soil cultivation system. The growth, yield, and fruit quality were compared between two growing seasons of spring and summer and two cultivation systems, respectively. In tomato, little difference was observed in growth and yield between two cultivation systems, but plant growth and total yield of fruits were much more in summer than in spring. The contents of glucose and fructose were more in spring-grown fruit than in summer-grown one, and in hydroponically cultivated fruit than in soilcultivated, respectively. The weight loss during room temperature storage was lower in hydroponically cultivated fruit than in soil-cultivated one, and in summer-grown fruit than in spring-grown one, respectively. In terms of color change, the shelf-life of tomato fruit was shorter by one day in summer-grown one fruit than in spring-grown one, and in hydroponcically cultivated one fruit than in soil-cultivated, respectively.

Selection of Suitable Cultivars for the Hydroponics of Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in the Alpine Area in Summer (착색단고추 고랭지 하계 수경재배용 품종 선발)

  • This experiment was investigated to select suitable cultivars for the hydroponics of sweet pepper in the alpine area in summer. Sweet pepper plants were grown in the greenhouse in Jinbu (550m above sea level), Pyungchang, Korea. Seeding and transplanting of the 12 sweet pepper cultivars were done in February and April, respectively. The sweet pepper fruits were harvested every week from July to November. Seven cultivars were chosen from the 12 tested cultivars. 'Special' and 'Cupra' for red, 'Boogie', 'Fellini' and 'President' for orange, and 'Fiesta' and 'Derby' for yellow had more fruit sets, the more percentage of standardized products for the export to Japan, and higher yield than the other cultivars. This result has shown various characteristics among or within the cultivars. This study would provide the basic database of cultivars and give the information about control vegetative and reproductive growth to the farmers cultivating sweet pepper.

  • 파프리카(Paprika)는 착색단고추로 1995년부터 본격적으로 재배, 수출용으로 소비되었으나 최근에는 피자, 샐러드용으로 국내소비도 많아지고 있다. 재배양식은 여름형과 겨울형이 있다. 여름재배는 3월 중순경 정식, 6월 중순부터 12월까지 수확한다. 겨울재배는 9월 초순정식, 12월 초부터 7월까지 수확하여 연중 재배되고 있다. 시설 내 파프리카 생육적온은 주간 $21-27^{\circ}C$, 야간 $18-19^{\circ}C$이며 습도는 70-80%로서 시설내 발생하는 미소해충들이 번성하기에 좋은 조건이다. 해충 방제는 피해를 정확히 진단하고 발생초기에 적절한 방제수단을 강구하여야 피해를 최소화 할 수 있다. 따라서 재배유형별로 작기 전 기간에 걸쳐 종합적인 해충관리대책이 수립되어야 하며, 어린모 구입시 건전묘 구입, 해충 수시 예찰과 조기방제, 작기 후 포장위생을 철저히 하여야 한다.

The investigation of Appropriate Hydroponic System for Cherry Tomatoes in Summer Season (방울토마토의 여름재배시 적정수경재배방식 구명)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the appropriate hydroponic system when cherry tomatoes were grown in summer. The base diameter of the trunk, leaf length, leaf width, and the length of cluster were good in deep flow culture(DFC), and not different between NFT and rockwool culture. The first time of flowering and the fruit coloring per cluster were not different among cultural systems, but the marketable yields were good in DFC. In DFC, % dry weight, firmness, the content of organic acid and sugar were low, and the ratio of sugar/organic acid and vitamin C were high. So DFC is recommended for the summer cultivation of cherry tomatoes.

Effect of Transplanting Methods on Growth and Yield of Paprika in Coir Culture (코이어 배지 수경재배에서 정식방법이 파프리카 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of transplanting methods on the growth and yield of paprika (Capsicumannuum L. 'Veyron' and 'Coletti') in coir culture during two seasons. The summer type sowed in late winter and harvested from summer and the winter type sowed in summer and harvested from early winter. Control plants grown on the 10cm rockwool block were transplanted on coir slab when the 8 leaves of seedlings were emerged, while plants of the young seedling transplanting(YST) grown on the 7cm rockwool block was put on the slab at time of 2-3 leaves developed. Plants of the temporary transplanting(TT) on the 10cm rockwool block were moved on the slab after 2-3 weeks underpinning cultivation, while plants of the blockless transplanting(BT) were directly transplanted in the slab when the seedlings have 2-3 leaves emerged. The plant height of the control and BT treatment were longer while that of TT showed the shortest among treatments. The bigger leaf size was observed in the YST and BT treatment. Leaf number of the BT treatment was increased, while that of TT was the lowest. There were no differences in fruit size, locules and thickness among treatments. The lower fruit weight was observed in the TT of the winter culture and fruits in the control and YST of the summer culture showed higher fruit weight. The percentage of marketable fruit appeared to be slightly higher in the winter culture than in the summer culture. There were no differences in marketable fruit rate among the treatments of the winter culture but, among the summer culture, the highest marketable fruit rate was observed in the BT with 93%. The yield of the YST and BT was higher and that of the TT was the lowest.

  • 메밀은 마디풀과(polygonaceae)의 메밀속에 속하는 일년생 초본으로 야생종을 포함하여 20여 종이 확인되고 있다. 현재 재배되고 있는 메밀 재배종은 보통메밀(Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)과 쓴메밀(Fagopyrum tataricum Gaertn., 타타리메밀) 등 두 종이 주류를 이루고 있으며 우리나라에서는 보통메밀이 주로 재배되어 왔다. 본 연구는 농업유전자원센터에서 보유중인 보통메밀 341점과 쓴메밀 38점을 봄, 여름에 파종하여 특성조사를 수행하고 재배시기별 생육특성을 비교하기 위해 수행되었다. 봄, 여름 파종은 각각 2017년 4월 14일과 8월 17일에 전주 소재 농업유전자원센터 포장에 하였으며 줄기색, 엽색, 엽형, 개화기, 성숙기, 꽃색, 종피색, 종자모양, 주경절수, 총분지수, 백립중 등 11개 농업형질을 조사하였다. 봄 파종시 개화기는 대부분 5월 25일 전후였으며 성숙기는 6월 말부터 7월 중순까지 분포하였고 여름 파종시는 9월 15일 전후 개화하여 10월 말에 성숙하였다. 줄기색은 홍색의 비율이 높았고 엽색은 연녹색과 녹색이 대부분이었으며 엽형은 화살촉형이 90% 이상이었다. 꽃색은 흰색이 대부분이었지만 연녹색 자원도 40점 조사되었으며 종피색은 연갈색이 70%를 차지하였다. 종자 생산과 관련된 주경절수와 총분지수는 봄 파종과 여름 파종에서 많은 차이를 나타냈으며 봄 재배시 영양생장이 왕성하여 가을 재배보다 많은 주경절수와 총분지수가 조사되었다. 그러나 백립중에서는 여름 파종이 봄 파종보다 무거운 경향을 나타내어 주경절수, 총분지수와 백립중 간 부의 상관관계를 추론할 수 있었다. 일반메밀 유전자원을 국내 수집지별로 나누어 조사한 결과 주경절수와 총분지수는 봄, 여름 파종 모두에서 전남 수집자원이 가장 많았으며, 강원, 경남, 경북, 전북, 충북 수집자원과 유의성있는 차이를 나타내었다. 강원, 충북 수집자원은 제일 낮은 주경절수와 총분지수를 보였으나 백립중은 가장 높게 조사되었다.

Cultural characteristics of fruit body on Pleurotus pulmonarius cultivars (산느타리버섯의 품종별 재배특성)

  • Pleurotus pulmonarius 8 cultivas, domestically bred, were cultivated and evaluated for cultural properties. The morphological properties of 8 cultivars were big diameter of pileus and short stipe. Stipe was eccentrically combined with pileus. The longest length of stipe was Yeoleumneutali 2ho(72.8mm) while shortest cultivar was Yeoleumneutali 1ho(33.8mm). The diameter of pileus ranged 45.8-62,3mm, Yaksan was the smallest one and Yeoleumneutali 2ho was largest cultivar. Yield was largest in Yeoleumneutali 2ho(80.7g) whereas smallest was in Yeoleumneutali 1ho(35.5g). The highest L value was in Yeoleumneutali 2ho and Hosan. Lightness was not even around pileus but thicker in rim area and thinner in center of pileus. Average period of pinheading and harvest were 4.6 and 8.0 days thus only 3-4 days after pinheadng were required for harvest.

  • 배추는 십자화과 채소로 한국, 일본, 중국에서 많이 재배되고 있다. 우리나라에서는 한국인이 소비하는 채소 중 가장 높은 가장 많은 비중을 차지하며 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 계절에 상관없이 이용되고 있으며 특히 김치, 쌈 채소로소 이용되고 있다. 배추의 주생산 시기는 봄, 여름, 가을로 기후환경에 적합한 다양한 품종이 재배되고 있으며 또한 다양한 방법으로 조리되고 있다. 대표적인 방법은 쌈채소로 생으로 이용하는 것과 김치를 담그기 위해 절임 채소로 이용하는 방법, 그리고 국이나, 무침 등을 위해 데침 채소로 이용하는 방법에 있는데 본 실험에서는 이러한 조리과정에 의해 영양성분에 어떠한 영향을 주는 지 각 계절별 대표 품종의 배추를 이용하여 조사하였다. 봄 배추는 노랑봄배추, 가을 배추는 불암3호로 농촌진흥청 원예특작과학원에서 재배한 배추를 사용하였으며 여름배추는 고랭지 배추를 사용하였다. 각 계절별 배추의 전처리는 생, 절임(10% 소금물), 데침(10분)의 세가지 방법을 이용하였으며 영양성분의 분석은 AOAC 법에 준하여 실시하였다. 노랑봄배추, 고랭지배추, 불암3호의 생채의 영양성분을 비교해 본 결과 여름배추에 수분이 가장 많이 함유되어 있었으며 단백질의 함량은 모두 비슷한 수준을 나타내었고 가을 배추에 탄수화물 5.7g, 섬유소 0.8g, 칼슘 60mg 가장 많이 함유되어 있었다. 삶은 배추의 경우 생배추와 비교하여 보았을때 탄수화물, 지질, 단백질 등 일반성분에서는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 칼륨의 손실은 약 30%로 두드러지게 나타났다. 품종별 삶은 배추에서는 생배추와 마찬가지로 여름배추에서 가장 많은 수분 함유량을 보였으며 대부분의 영양소에서 가을배추가 높은 함량을 나타냈다. 절임 배추의 경우 생배추와 비교하였을때 소금의 영향으로 나트륨 함량이 크게 증가하였으며 기타 성분에 있어서는 큰 변화가 나타나지 않았다.
