  • It also increases the competitive power of the nation. With all these merits of electronic documents, there exist threats to the security such as illegal outflow, destroying, loss, distortion, etc. Currently, the techniques to protect the electronic documents against illegal forgery, alteration or removal are not enough. Until now, various security technologies have been developed for electronic documents. However, most of them are limited to prevention of forgery or repudiation. Cryptography for electronic documents is quite heavy that direct cryptography is not in progress. Additionally, key management for encryption/decryption has many difficulties that security has many weak points. Security has inversely proportional to efficiency. It is strongly requested to adopt various cryptography technologies into the electronic document system to offer more efficient and safer services. Therefore, this paper presents some problems in cryptography technologies currently used in the existing electronic document systems, and offer efficient methods to adopt cryptography algorithms to improve and secure the electronic document systems. To validate performance of proposed method compare with the existing cryptographies, critical elements have been compared, and it has been proved that the proposed method gives better results both in security and efficiency.

  • It is impossible directly to find a prime number p,q of a large semiprime n = pq using Trial Division method. So the most of the factorization algorithms use the indirection method which finds a prime number of p = GCD(a-b, n), q=GCD(a+b, n); get with a congruence of squares of $a^2{\equiv}b^2$ (mod n). It is just known the fact which the area that selects p and q about n=pq is between $10{\cdots}00$ < p < $\sqrt{n}$ and $\sqrt{n}$ < q < $99{\cdots}9$ based on $\sqrt{n}$ in the range, [$10{\cdots}01$, $99{\cdots}9$] of $l(p)=l(q)=l(\sqrt{n})=0.5l(n)$. This paper proposes the method that reduces the range of p using information obtained from n. The proposed method uses the method that sets to $p_{min}=n_{LR}$, $q_{min}=n_{RL}$; divide into $n=n_{LR}+n_{RL}$, $l(n_{LR})=l(n_{RL})=l(\sqrt{n})$. The proposed method is more effective from minimum 17.79% to maxmimum 90.17% than the method that reduces using $\sqrt{n}$ information.

  • Recently, A utilization request of the U-Healthcare services are increasing rapidly. This is because the increase in smartphone users and ubiquitous computing technology was developed. Furthermore, the demand for access to and use of medical information systems is growing rapidly with a smartphone. This system have the advantage such as they can access from anywhere and anytime in the healthcare information system using their smartphone quickly and easily. But this system have various problems that are a privacy issue, the location disclosure issue, and the potential infringement of personal information. this problems are arise very explosive. Therefore, we propose a secure information security system that can solve the security problems in healthcare information systems for healthcare workers using smartphone. Our proposed system, doctors record, store, modify and manage patient medical information and this system would be safer than the existing healthcare information systems. The proposed system allows the doctor to perform further authentication by transmitting using SMS to GOTP message when they accessing medical information systems. So our proposed system can support to more secure system that can protect user individual information stealing and modify attack by two-factor authentication scheme. And this system can support confidentiality, integrity, location information blocking, personal information steal prevent using cryptography algorithm that is easy and fast.

Efficiently Hybrid $MSK_k$ Method for Multiplication in $GF(2^n)$ ($GF(2^n)$ 곱셈을 위한 효율적인 $MSK_k$ 혼합 방법)

  • For an efficient implementation of cryptosystems based on arithmetic in a finite field $GF(2^n)$, their hardware implementation is an important research topic. To construct a multiplier with low area complexity, the divide-and-conquer technique such as the original Karatsuba-Ofman method and multi-segment Karatsuba methods is a useful method. Leone proposed an efficient parallel multiplier with low area complexity, and Ernst at al. proposed a multiplier of a multi-segment Karatsuba method. In [1], the authors proposed new $MSK_5$ and $MSK_7$ methods with low area complexity to improve Ernst's method. In [3], the authors proposed a method which combines $MSK_2$ and $MSK_3$. In this paper we propose an efficient multiplication method by combining $MSK_2,\;MSK_3\;and\;MSK_5$ together. The proposed method reduces $116{\cdot}3^l$ gates and $2T_X$ time delay compared with Gather's method at the degree $25{\cdot}2^l-2^l with l>0.

Hash-chain-based IoT authentication scheme suitable for small and medium enterprises (중소기업 환경에 적합한 해쉬 체인 기반의 IoT 인증 기법)

  • With the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution, more and more attempts have been made to apply IoT technology to the manufacturing process and launch the product. In this paper, we propose IoT authentication scheme based on hash chain which can easily apply IoT device to small and medium enterprises in Korea. In the proposed method, the companies that installed IoT devices suitable for the manufacturing environment are selected to maintain the linkage between IoT devices so that product information and release information can be efficiently collected and managed during the entire manufacturing process. In addition, the proposed scheme is characterized in that it does not require an additional encryption / decryption algorithm because the authentication information of the IoT device is constructed based on a hash chain. As a result of the performance evaluation, the efficiency of the manufacturing process was improved by 18.5% and the processing of the manufacturing process with the IoT device was shortened by 20.1% on the average according to the application of the IoT device. In addition, the labor cost reduction costs in the manufacturing process decreased by an average of 30.7%.

  • 90/150 CA which are used as key generators of the cipher system have more randomness than LFSRs, but synthesis methods of 90/150 CA are difficult. Therefore, 90/150 CA synthesis methods have been studied by many researchers. In order to synthesize a suitable CA, the analysis of the characteristic polynomial of 90/150 CA should be preceded. In general, the characteristic of polynomial ${\Delta}_n$ of n cell 90/150 CA is obtained by using ${\Delta}_{n-1}$ and ${\Delta}_{n-2}$. Choi et al. analyzed $H_{2^n}(x)$ and $H_{2^n-1}(x)$, where $H_k(x)$ is the characteristic polynomial of k cell 90/150 CA with state transition rule <$10{\cdots}0$>. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to obtain $H_n(x)$ from $H_{n-1}(x)$ and an efficient algorithm to obtain $H_{2^n+i}(x)$ and $H_{2^n-i}(x)$ ($1{\leq}i{\leq}2^{n-1}$) from $H_{2^n}(x)$ by using this method.

A Comparative study on smoothing techniques for performance improvement of LSTM learning model

  • In this paper, we propose a several smoothing techniques are compared and applied to increase the application of the LSTM-based learning model and its effectiveness. The applied smoothing technique is Savitky-Golay, exponential smoothing, and weighted moving average. Through this study, the LSTM algorithm with the Savitky-Golay filter applied in the preprocessing process showed significant best results in prediction performance than the result value shown when applying the LSTM model to Bitcoin data. To confirm the predictive performance results, the learning loss rate and verification loss rate according to the Savitzky-Golay LSTM model were compared with the case of LSTM used to remove complex factors from Bitcoin price prediction, and experimented with an average value of 20 times to increase its reliability. As a result, values of (3.0556, 0.00005) and (1.4659, 0.00002) could be obtained. As a result, since crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin have more volatility than stocks, noise was removed by applying the Savitzky-Golay in the data preprocessing process, and the data after preprocessing were obtained the most-significant to increase the Bitcoin prediction rate through LSTM neural network learning.

  • We live in a myriad of data. Various data are created in all situations in which we work, and we discover the meaning of data through big data technology. Many efforts are underway to find meaningful data. This paper introduces an analysis technique that enables humans to make better choices through the trend and prediction of time series data as a principal component analysis technique. Principal component analysis constructs covariance through the input data and presents eigenvectors and eigenvalues that can infer the direction of the data. The proposed method computes a reference axis in a time series data set having a similar directionality. It predicts the directionality of data in the next section through the angle between the directionality of each time series data constituting the data set and the reference axis. In this paper, we compare and verify the accuracy of the proposed algorithm with LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) through cryptocurrency trends. As a result of comparative verification, the proposed method recorded relatively few transactions and high returns(112%) compared to LSTM in data with high volatility. It can mean that the signal was analyzed and predicted relatively accurately, and it is expected that better results can be derived through a more accurate threshold setting.

A Study on the Application of Block Chain Technology on EVMS (EVMS 업무의 블록체인 기술 적용 방안 연구)

  • Block chain technology is one of the core elements for realizing the 4th industrial revolution, and many efforts have been made by government and companies to provide services based on block chain technology. In this study we analyzed the benefits of block chain technology for EVMS and designed EVMS block chain platform with increased data security and work efficiency for project management data, which are important assets in monitoring progress, foreseeing future events, and managing post-completion. We did the case studies on the benefits of block chain technology and then conducted the survey study on security, reliability, and efficiency of block chain technology, targeting 18 block chain experts and project developers. And then, we interviewed EVMS system operator on the compatibility between block chain technology and EVM Systems. The result of the case studies showed that block chain technology can be applied to financial, logistic, medical, and public services to simplify the insurance claim process and to improve reliability by distributing transaction data storage and applying security·encryption features. Also, our research on the characteristics and necessity of block chain technology in EVMS revealed the improvability of security, reliability, and efficiency of management and distribution of EVMS data. Finally, we designed a network model, a block structure, and a consensus algorithm model and combined them to construct a conceptual block chain model for EVM system. This study has the following contribution. First, we reviewed that the block chain technology is suitable for application in the defense sector and proposed a conceptual model. Second, the effect that can be obtained by applying block chain technology to EVMS was derived, and the possibility of improving the existing business process was derived.

High-Speed Implementation and Efficient Memory Usage of Min-Entropy Estimation Algorithms in NIST SP 800-90B (NIST SP 800-90B의 최소 엔트로피 추정 알고리즘에 대한 고속 구현 및 효율적인 메모리 사용 기법)

  • NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology) has recently published SP 800-90B second draft which is the document for evaluating security of entropy source, a key element of a cryptographic random number generator(RNG), and provided a tool implemented on Python code. In SP 800-90B, the security evaluation of the entropy sources is a process of estimating min-entropy by several estimators. The process of estimating min-entropy is divided into IID track and non-IID track. In IID track, the entropy sources are estimated only from MCV estimator. In non-IID Track, the entropy sources are estimated from 10 estimators including MCV estimator. The running time of the NIST's tool in non-IID track is approximately 20 minutes and the memory usage is over 5.5 GB. For evaluation agencies that have to perform repeatedly evaluations on various samples, and developers or researchers who have to perform experiments in various environments, it may be inconvenient to estimate entropy using the tool and depending on the environment, it may be impossible to execute. In this paper, we propose high-speed implementations and an efficient memory usage technique for min-entropy estimation algorithm of SP 800-90B. Our major achievements are the three improved speed and efficient memory usage reduction methods which are the method applying advantages of C++ code for improving speed of MultiMCW estimator, the method effectively reducing the memory and improving speed of MultiMMC by rebuilding the data storage structure, and the method improving the speed of LZ78Y by rebuilding the data structure. The tool applied our proposed methods is 14 times faster and saves 13 times more memory usage than NIST's tool.
