  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the distributive property of organic pollutants in effluents of argo/industrial wastewater treatment plants in Jeonnam using simultaneous analysis method of 310 chemicals. The numerous organic pollutants were detected in four sampling sites and the major chemicals were pesticides, CH type chemicals such as polycyclic compounds, CHO type chemicals such as phthalates, and CHO(N) type chemical such as aromatic amines. Moreover, 17 kinds of endocrine disrupters which include diethylptbalate were detected in each sampling sites. TU (Toxic unit) indicated cytotoxicity of samples using XTT assay, it appeared highly at A point(27.2) and D point(24.4). Also, the results from the correlation between total concentration of pollutants and TU did not correspond to the results of chemical and biological analysis.

  • TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) using the wireless communication technique is defined as the safety aid system to efficiently realize and manage the condition of tires in the vehicle. The wireless communication system of TPMS should suffers from various noise and interferences such as signals of each tire sensor or outside electrical equipments. In order to retain the data reliability of TPMS, we propose an assessment method of the data reliability based on signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) of the received signal. The proposed technique can be widely applied to wireless duplex communication systems based on various sensors. We verify critical SINR values to satisfy data reliabilities of 95%, 97%, and 99% through computer simulation.

  • When a human being grew older, followed by visually and perceptually impaired, and dementia, it jeopardizes safety and life unless supportive design is secured for a living environment. This supportive space is based on universal design concept which offers safe-oriented, and simple use by incorporating gender and physical/mental limitation. The study of purppose was to examine the appropriateness of barrier-free standard for seniors' living in apartment through IPA. Chi-square analysis found that satisfaction with BF space is lowered as aging is continued and for female group. Regression analysis indicated that sink was the prime predictor in satisfaction, and stair/elevator was the most important variable. IPA concluded that sink, bath, shower/locker and alert/egress were prime BF indexes to be improved among 14 elements, implying careful design in sanitation area for seniors.

  • The National Housing Bond Information Relay System is a representative financial information relay system in which institutions are connected with center system. A centralized structure is expensive to construct and operate center, and there is a problem that all networks are disconnected when a failure occurs in the center system. In this paper, we propose the national housing bond information relay system model based on Blockchain technology that can process information safely and efficiently. The proposed model constructs a Blockchain network so that each institution that processes the national housing bond information can transmit information safely, and each institution manages the same distributed ledge by a smart contract. The proposed model can reduce the cost because it can process complicated national housing bond transaction information without a relay center, and a network usage and disk usage decreased by 1.7% and 8.53%.

  • The growth of Internet is the main factor that activates the Digital Contents Market and gives the convenience, efficiency and usefulness to the users. However the Digital Contents Market could be shrunk by an illegal reprinting and imprudent using. As a result, recently we can see that using the contents illegally through Internet makes the troubles between providers and customers and finally they are at law. Therefore we urgently need a new technology which can prevent the contents from illegal using, illegal reprinting and imprudent using, We developed the system prohibits a imprudent using in order to activate the Digital Contents Market, We developed the system protects the contents safely by removing the dangerous for the illegal reprinting with providing the encoded contents and the system removes the contents according to the number of usage and the user authentication through network.

  • A pesticide monitoring survey was undertaken for the both 30 samples of pears and sweet persimmons from chief producing districts in1985 to evaluate pesticide residues in these agrcultural products and also to give basic informations in establishing maximum residue limits. Pesticide residues in pears were detected with fairly low in 7-60% of total samples. Even the maximum residue levels were only in the amount of 1/53-2/3 compared with maximum residue limits established in fruits in Environment Administration, Korea. Most of the residues (71-82%) was remained in peels of pears. Incase of sweet persimmons, captan, captafol, EPN, parathion, and phenthoate residues were also detected with fairly low in 3-20% of total samples. Presently, it is considered that pesticide residues in pears and sweet persimmons may be no harmful levels for food commodities.

  • For environmental monitoring and risk identification of industrial plants, several monitoring systems using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been developed. In this paper, we propose a dynamic duty cycle adjustment mechanism for reduced latency in industrial plants. The proposed method adjusts the duty cycle among predefined risk groups depending on the urgency of sensed data values. To demonstrate its efficacy, we analyze the expected transmission latency model and then discuss the characteristics in detail. We show that the proposed dynamic duty cycle mechanism is a more effective than a periodic mechanism by analyzing the expected latency of them in industrial plants where there are various types of sensory data with different levels of reliability.

  • In telemedicaine, people can make their health checked at anywhere from temporal and spatial constraints and It's environment can provide continuous health information regardless of the location of customers through PCs and smart phones. In addition, personal health information collected utilizing the BYOD(bring your own device) is the most important factor data security and guaranteed personal privacy because it's directly connected to the individual's health and life. In this paper, we provide a signature of the private key encryption system and method for providing the security of personal health information data collected utilizing the BYOD. Against replay attacks and man-in-the-middle attacks on security issues that are emerging as a smart environmental health was used as the timestamp and signature methods. Proposed method provides encryption overhead, while a communication was lower compared to the pre-encrypted with a mean 1.499mJ 1.212mJ shown by simulation to respond quickly in an emergency situation to be about 59%.

  • Changing group key is necessary for the remaining members when a new member joins or a member leaves the group in multicast communications. It is required to guarantee perfect forward and backward confidentiality. Unfortunately, in large groups with frequent membership changes, key changes become the primary bottleneck for scalable group. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for providing efficient group key distribution in large and dynamic groups. Unlike existing secure multicast protocols, our protocol is scalable to large groups because both the frequency and computational overhead of re-keying is determined by the size of a subgroup instead of the size of the whole group, and offers mechanism to prevent the subgroup managers with group access control from having any access to the multicast data that are transfered by sender. It also provides security service for preserving privacy in wireless computing environments.

  • Depending on the operating characteristics, track circuit is installed for the purpose of direct or indirect control of the signal device, point switch machine and other security device. These are mainly used for train detection, transmission of information, broken rail detection and transmission of return current. Especially, the return current is related to signal system, power system and catenary line, and track circuit systems. It is one of the most important component shall be dealt for the safety of track side staff and for the protection of railway-related electrical system according to electrification. Therefore, an accurate analysis of the return current is needed to prevent the return current unbalance and the system induced disorder and failure due to an over current condition. Also, if the malfunction occurred by the return current harmonics, it can cause problems including train operation interruption. In this paper, we presented measurement and analysis method at return current and it's harmonics by high speed train operation on the honam high speed line.
