A Study on the Organizational Changes in Technical Service of Korean University Libraries (국내 대학도서관 정리부서 현황과 조직 변화에 대한 인식 연구)

  • This study investigated organizational changes in technical services of university libraries and analysed librarians' perception on the changes of technical service department by the survey to 32 technical service librarians. It also identified several factors that have changed work environment of technical departments such as the shared cataloging and outsourcing, and electronic resources in various formats and creation of metadata for these resources. Most librarians agreed that university libraries have to foster technical librarians' professioanal development to cope with emerging changes of technical services. They also recognized that the integration of traditional cataloging and metadata management is an important issue of orgranizational changes. Contrary to librarians' perception, technical service librarians were not fully awared of the procedure of metadata related works in other departments. Furthermore metadata creation and management were also conducted in several departments of libraries without proper control.

국내 대기업들의 IT 거버넌스 분석: 비교 사례 연구

  • IT 거버넌스(Governance)는 IT 관련 의사결정에 있어서 기업 내부 주체들의 권한과 책임, 의사결정 조직체계와 프로세스, 의사소통 방법, 의사결정 실현 체계, 조정과 통제, 그리고 의사결정에 대한 사후 평가 등을 통틀어 일컫는 말이다. IT가 기업 경영의 필수 인프라로 인식되고, 기업의 경쟁력 제고의 핵심 역량으로 자리잡으면서 IT 거버넌스의 중요성은 점차커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 주요 대기업들의 IT 거버넌스를 분석하였다. 4개의 국내 대기업들에 대한 심층 인터뷰를 바탕으로, 이들 기업들이 어떤 조직 체계와 과정, 의사소통 체계, 그리고 성과 측정 방법 등을 가지고 IT 관련 의사결정을 하는지를 살펴보았다. 국내 대기업들은 IT 서비스를 전문적으로 제공하는 IT 서비스 계열사를 이용하여 IT 기능을 아웃소싱하고 있었으며, IT 관련 최종 의사결정은 IT 전문 조직이 아닌 비즈니스를 담당하고 있는 경영자들이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 대기업들의 IT 서비스에 대한 계약과 성과 측정은 서비스 수준 협약을 통해 이루어지고 있었으며, 국제적으로 인정되고 있는 프로젝트 관리 방법론과 균형성과 기록표 등도 널리 사용하고 있었다. 이러한 연구는 국내 대기업 내의 IT 서비스 전문 기업들의 미래 역할 정립과 정부 기관이나 공기업들의 IT 거버넌스 체계 확립에 있어서 벤치마킹 근거로 활용될 수 있다. 또한 국내 대기업들의 IT 거버넌스 체계의 효율성 등을 측정하기 위한 기초 자료로 이용될 수 있다.

A Study for the Perception of Job Identity, Public Service Motivation and Organizational Committment focusing on Airport Security Agents (고용형태에 따른 직무정체성, 공직봉사동기 및 조직충성도에 대한 연구 : 공항 특수경비원들의 인식을 중심으로)

  • Airport security staff are outsourced workers, whose status is a special security agent under the security service law in Republic of Korea, who are subject to persuing both profitability and public concern at the same time. This paper has chosen the sample of security staff working at Incheon airport. This is because airport security staff is being outsourced, this paper had made an empirical research such areas as the perception of job identity, public service motivation and organizational commitment through job satisfaction. According to statistical research, it was found the perception on job identity by airport security staff had a significant negative effect on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The more they have perceived their status as non-permanent status, the less they had job satisfaction and commitment at the same time as a special security agent at airport. Their perception of job identity had a significant effect on such public service motivation factors as 'absorbing public concern' and 'a solicitude'. Lastly, their motivation factors had also significant positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

  • Jeon-buk is well equipped for the growth of the logistics industry as it is the center of inland and marine traffic. However, it was not activated because of the infrastructure insufficiency. This paper surveyed the logistics industry facilities, interviewed people who are engaged in its business, researched into their business difficulties and the problem of the logistics industry of Jeon-buk. As a result of research, this paper makes an alternative plan for the development of the logistics industry of Jeon-buk area.

Impact of Outsourcing Risk on Corporate Performance (아웃소싱의 리스크가 기업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, small and medium-sized manufacturing and distribution businesses were asked to demonstrate how the risks that could arise from implementing ITOs affect their performance. Small and medium-sized enterprises that want to reduce costs or secure competitiveness through outsourcing ITO conducted research to identify and analyze risks of ITO and improve corporate performance. Strategic, technical, and financial risks were selected as independent variables for analysis by the survey method. In addition, relationship risk was selected as a parameter and corporate performance was selected as a dependent variable to conduct a path analysis. The analysis showed that the variables injected as independent variables had indirect and total effects on corporate performance. This can be interpreted as the higher the level of awareness of strategic and technological risks and financial risks, the higher the level of relational risk, and thus the positive impact on corporate performance. We expect to improve corporate performance through analysis of more and more risk factors in the future.

  • Recently many company has been cracked by crackers information security and everyday new computer virus come out. so e-trade partners should prevent the disasters. A few studies researched e-trade securities broadly but the new trend in information security division especially focused on electronic payment, EDI, Transportation, Contracts, Insurances and that of subjects have been researched through interdisciplinary evolution. Our research e-trade security on three part, First system attack, second is data attack and third is business attack. the attacks have theirs own solution, so e-trade company use this solution timely and powerfully. It is the most important thing to prepare the cracking with securities system. also manager should catch recent hacking technologies. The research results propose that e-trade firms should use information security policies and securities systems that including H/W and S/W. therefore manager's security mind is very important and also using electronic commerce securities device and should be considered exploiting solutions by each special usage according to e-trade company' environments.

  • In the system integration (SI) industry, improving relationships with outsourcing partners is one of the key challenges faced by SI companies that aim to increase productivity and reduce costs. In the SI industry, over 80% of project development work is performed by these outsourcing partners. Hence, large SI companies focus on fostering high-performing partners through improved cooperation and mutual relations. However, in the SI industry the existing process of managing outsourcing partners is unable to advance to the level of long-term partnerships due to inadequate information sharing and communication in the process of selecting and assessing a potential and existing partner. Based on the theory of partnership, this study identifies the success factors for new strategic partnerships. Further, this study presents a model for assessing partner companies to promote increased productivity and improve the relationship between an SI company and its partner. In addition, this model is used to assess partner relationships for a well-known SI company "A". This study explores the feasibility of a new framework model.

  • Information security started as an IT operation process and is now recognized as an important issue of information technology, and each international organization is newly defining the concept. Information security itself is a new combination of IT technologies, a set of technologies and a technology area. As IT outsourcing becomes common in many public sectors, SLAs are introduced to evaluate the level of IT services. In the area of information security, many studies have been conducted on the derivation and selection of SLA performance indicators, but it is difficult to find a way to apply the performance indicators to service level evaluation and performance systems. This thesis conducted a study on the application of a service evaluation system for information security performance indicators based on the public sector and a performance system including compensation regulations. It presents standards and rewards(incentive and penalty) that define expectation and targets of performance indicators that take into account the environment and characteristics of a specific public sector, and defines appropriate SLA costs. It proposes a change plan for the organizational structure for practical SLA application and service level improvement.

Evaluating the perception of logistic firms and shipper on the relationship between contract term and service performance in logistics outsourcing service (물류아웃소싱 서비스에서 계약서 조항과 성과 간 관계에 대한 물류기업과 화주기업의 인식 비교 분석)

  • This study is based on precedent research on contract fairness to prevent irrational contract practices and enable long term mutual interests between logistic firms and shipper. Actual unjust contract examples were identified in order to help create this positive partnership. An analysis on the difference of perspective proved that while the logistics companies believed on the positive effects of the presence of additional expense clauses & potential risk clauses, the very same companies believed that the concretization of procedural & distributional equitability clauses will cause positive effects on the partnership between the logistics companies and the shipper. On the other hand, concretizationof the expense clauses brings about a negative effect for the shipper company. Also, the perspective of a logistics company appears that such results were identical to the empirical study which had a positiveeffect. However, the shipping company had a negative and a rather opposite point of view. These researches prove that there should be an alteration in perception for the shipper company. It is believed that the comparison of the results of this research and the leading researches may provide grounds for thought-provoking suggestions that must be concretized and also for those in need for further settlement for drafting the standardized logistics contract and its logistics.

Perceptional Difference of Logistics Service Contract between Shipper and Logistics Service Provider (화주기업과 물류기업의 물류계약 인식차이에 관한 연구)

  • Global competition has resulted in companies' expectations to heighten competitiveness and enhance customer service through ownership companies' reduced investment on logistics costs, in turn focusing on the development of core competence, in addition to logistics companies' increased tendencies to satisfy customers' needs and requirements through logistics outsourcing. However, a partial perspective of the logistics contract exists due to its flexible characteristic in order to act accordingly in times of sudden changes and uncertainty. Therefore, this study is designed to test through a survey the standard of desired format of logistics contract in comparison to the currently existing format based on the results of researcher's previous study on the specific clauses in the logistics contract and its effect on the logistics outcome. A hypothesis has been designed to test the differences of perspective between two test groups, and a t-test &IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) was performed. As a result, firstly, there was a significant difference of perspective between the ownership companies and logistics companies when dealing with the logistics contract; secondly, a significant difference of perspective was also expressed between the two groups on how to guide and re-direct the present standard of logistics contract. In addition, the two groups also showed a difference of expectations between the current and future service standard. Therefore, this study is designed to specify the difference of perspective and expectations between the ownership companies and the logistics companies in order to provide a gateway for the two groups in order to further develop and enhance the field of logistics.
