This study examines the rustling sound characteristics of electrospun nanofiber web laminates according to layer structures. This study assesses mechanical properties and frictional sounds (such as SPL); in addition, Zwicker's psychoacoustic parameters (such as Loudness (Z), Sharpness (Z), Roughness (Z), and Fluctuation strength (Z)) were calculated using the Sound Quality Program (ver.3.2, B&K, Denmark). The result determined how to control these characteristics and minimize rustling sounds. A total of 3 specimens' frictional sound (generated at 0.63 m/s) was recorded using a Simulator for Frictional Sound of Fabrics (Korea Patent No. 10-2008-0105524) and SPLs were analyzed with a Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). The mechanical properties of fabrics were measured with a KES-FB system. The SPL value of the sound spectrum showed 6.84~58.47dB at 0~17,500Hz. The SPL value was 61.2dB for the 2-layer PU nanofiber web laminates layered on densely woven PET(C1) and was the highest at 65.1dB for the 3-layer PU nanofiber web laminates (C3). Based on SPSS 18.0, it was shown that there is a correlation between mechanical properties and psychoacoustic characteristics. Tensile properties (LT), weight (T), and bending properties (2HB) showed a high correlation with psychoacoustic characteristics. Tensile linearity (LT) with Loudness (Z) showed a negative correlation coefficient; however, weight (T) with Sharpness (Z) and Roughness (Z), and bending hysteresis (2HB) with Roughness (Z) indicated positive correlation coefficients, respectively.

This paper presents an empirical analysis on the relationship between consumer sentiment and macro-economic indices by consumer's characteristics such as age, income and employment type. According to the empirical analysis based on the Consumer Sentiment Index(CSI) of the Bank of Korea and other macro-economic indices, the following study findings are presented. First, individual consumer sentiment depends not only on GDP growth, but also on other macro-economic conditions such as wage, employment, consumer and asset price, and debt burden. Second, the degree of importance of the macro-economic indices on determining individual consumer sentiment varies strongly according to consumers' characteristics. These findings reveal that the gap between consumer sentiment and GDP growth can largely be explained by considering the other macro-economic indices and consumer's characteristics.

In this paper, the bio-signals, such as EEG, ECG were measured with a sensor and their characters were drawn out and analyzed. With results from the analysis, four emotion of rest, concentration, tension and depression were inferred. In order to assess one's emotion, the characteristic vectors were drawn out by applying various ways, including the frequency analysis of the bio-signals like the measured EEG and HRV. RBFN, a neural network of the complex structure of unsupervised and supervised learning, was applied to classify and infer the deducted information. Through experiments, the system suggested in this thesis showed better capability to classify and infer than other systems using a different neural network. As follow-up research tasks, the recognizance rate of the measured bio-signals should be improved. Also, the technology which can be applied to the wired or wireless sensor measuring the bio-signals more easily and to wearable computing should be developed.
In this paper, a real-time operating Motion Picture Experts Group-1 (MPEG-1) audio encoder system is implemented using a TMS320C31 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip. The basic operation of the MPEG-1 audio encoder algorithm based on audio layer-2 and psychoacoustic model-1 is first verified by C-language. It is then realized using the Texas Instruments (Tl) assembly in order to reduce the overall execution time. Finally, the actual BSP circuit board for the encoder system is designed and implemented. In the system, the side-modules such as the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) control, the input/output (I/O) control, the bit-stream transmission from the DSP board to the PC and so on, are utilized with a field programmable gate array (FPGA) using very high speed hardware description language (VHDL) codes. The complete encoder system is able to process the stereo audio signal in real-time at the sampling frequency 48 kHz, and produces the encoded bit-stream with the bit-rate 192 kbps. The real-time operation capability of the encoder system and the good quality of the decoded sound are also confirmed using various types of actual stereo audio signals.
The object of this study is to understand creativity development by examining the emergent process of accomplishments from case studies on individuals who had made creative accomplishments in science. Especially this study focuses from childhood to adulthood of the research participants before they accomplished their goal. For case studies, 10 people who made creative accomplishments in the science and technology domain were selected for interviewing as the research participants. Analyzing data were made using by KES. Then it is summarized and described the representative traits of each period of the research participants.
The construction of a stress measurement detaset plays a curcial role in various modern applications. In particular, for the efficient training of artificial intelligence models for stress measurement, it is essential to compare various biases and construct a quality-controlled dataset. In this paper, we propose the construction of a stress measurement dataset with quality management through the comparison of various biases. To achieve this, we introduce strss definitions and measurement tools, the process of building an artificial intelligence stress dataset, strategies to overcome biases for quality improvement, and considerations for stress data collection. Specifically, to manage dataset quality, we discuss various biases such as selection bias, measurement bias, causal bias, confirmation bias, and artificial intelligence bias that may arise during stress data collection. Through this paper, we aim to systematically understand considerations for stress data collection and various biases that may occur during the construction of a stress dataset, contributing to the construction of a dataset with guaranteed quality by overcoming these biases.
Anger is the most common emotional trigger causing relapses in individuals with alcohol use disorders (AUDs). The present study intended to investigate the autonomic nervous system (ANS) responses induced by anger in individuals with AUDs. The participants in this study included twelve individuals with AUDs and 14 non-frequent drinkers. Anger was induced in the participants via a 120-second film clip. Before the presentation of this audio-visual stimulus, the ANS responses of the participants were measured for 60 seconds to ascertain their resting state. Subsequently, the participants' ANS responses were measured again for 120 seconds when they were in an emotional state during the presentation of the clip. After the ANS measurements were taken, participants were asked to rate the type of emotion they had experienced as they viewed the film and to report its intensity. The results indicated that the levels of anger experienced by the AUD group were not significantly different from the emotion registered by the control group. However, the ANS responses induced in AUD participants when they were in an emotional state showed blunted skin conductance levels (SCL) and skin conductance responses (SCR) compared to the control group participants. Individuals with AUDs evinced lower emotional arousal than the participants of the control group. These results can help clinicians understand the psychological and physiological responses of individuals with AUDs to anger in order to design effective interventions that would reduce chances of anger and relapse.
Total knee arthroplasty is performed widely in degenerative arthritis of the knee joint, and the frequency of use is increasing. Efforts should be made to achieve functional recovery, such as returning to daily life, and the recovery of strength and range of motion after surgery. The procedure should be approached from a range of perspectives, such as patient factors, surgical technique and rehabilitation. The patient's age, degree of obesity, sex, and strength of the quadriceps muscle can affect the functional recovery after surgery. In addition, the patient's mental state, such as expectation value and satisfaction, can also have an effect. For functional recovery, patient education, pain control, and strengthening of the quadriceps muscle can be performed prior to surgery. Postoperative physiotherapy, such as icing and compression, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation therapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy, low frequency low intensity magnetic field therapy, strengthening of quadriceps muscle, and range of motion exercise can also be applied. In recent years, hydrotherapy, which restores the strength and balance of the leg, is being performed increasingly. These treatments are not only performed shortly after surgery, but are also performed continuously. In addition, the surgeon should apply it appropriately considering the patient's condition, compliance, and social and psychological conditions.
This study investigated the effects of mild mental imagery inducing pleasantness or unpleasantness and cognitive mental arithmetic task on skin conductance level. Subjects were f undergraduates(male 5, female 4). They were given the list of the words and asked to write down the liked objects and the disliked ones freely associated with these words. Among these objects the most-liked one and the most disliked one were selected as the self-induced mental imageries. Data-collection procedures were as follows ; first baseline, pleasant imagery, 2nd baseline, unpleasant imagery, finally 3rd baseline, and mental arithmetic task subtracting continuously 7 from the number 500. During these trials, the SCLs were recorded every 10 seconds. The results indicated that there were nonsignificant differences between the 3 trial-baselines ot each condition. This suggested that unlike the procedures used in the previous studies, our procedures would give the stability of the baseline level necessary for the comparison of the effects of several stimuli. Also, the level of skin conductance in mental arithmetic condition was significantly higher than that of the emotional mental imagery. This suggested the possibility that mental arithmetic task would gave rise to the higher physiological arousal in comparison to mental imageries. Overall, it was suggested that the procedures and the stimulus presentation methods used in this preliminary study could be useful for the data-collection techniques for The future study. Implications for the future study were presented.
Depression in the medically ill is a common clinical problem that primary physicians and psychiatric consultants encounter. Treatment of such patients begins with a careful evaluation of the patient's medical and psychiatric conditions. The assessment of depression in the medical patients requires a multidimensional approach. Psychological instruments are also used as a method of assessment in these patients. First of all, what the therapists have to do is to find and remove organic causes. Psychosoical treatment includes dealing with the patient's resistance and despondency relevant to physical diseases. For biological treatment, it is important to select appropriate antidepressants. Therapists should be familiar with the side effects of the antidepressants as well as the patient's primary depressive symptoms, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the available agents. In addition, special attention should be paid to the potential for drug-illness and drug-drug interactions. Tricyclic antidepressants can be still effectively used for patients with pain disorder, although a variety of new antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), bupropion and venlafaxine could have more benefits in depression of the medically ill. However, electroconvulsive therapy can be recommended for refractory cases of depression in patients with medical illness.
