대학생들의 야외 지질 실습 전과 후의 퇴적층 형성의 이해도 변화 비교

  • 대학생들의 야외 지질 실습 전과 후에 퇴적층 형성에 대한 이해도 변화를 파악하기 위해 충남대학교 지질환경과학과 3학년 재학생 27명을 대상으로 3일 동안, 참여 학생들에게 매일 실습 전과 후로 나누어 6번의 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 조사 문항은 모두 주관식이며, 3일에 걸쳐 총 68문항을 제공하였다. 제시된 문항은 퇴적층 형성과 관련된 기본개념 31문항과 조사 지역의 노두관찰 37문항으로 분류 된다. 야외 실습 전과 후의 개인별 점수를 각각 비교한 결과 실습에 참여한 모든 학생들의 점수가 향상되었다. 실습 3일에 대한 전체 학생들의 평균점수는 실습 전에 28.3점, 후에 51.6점으로 실습 전보다 후에 34.2% 향상되었다. 또한 전체 학생들의 기본개념 31문항에 대한 평균점수는 실습 전에 19.8점, 후에 26.9점으로 22.9%, 조사 지역 노두관찰 37문항에 대해서는 실습전에 8.5점, 후에 24.7점으로 43.8%가 각각 향상되었다. 퇴적층은 공간적으로 넓은 장소와 시간적으로 오랜 기간 동안에 걸쳐 형성되어 학생들은 광범위한 공간적, 시간적 개념을 이해하는 것이 필요하며 대학의 지질학 교육 과정에서 야외실습은 필수적인 요소이다. 야외 실습은 학습자가 직접 자연과 같은 실제 세계를 관찰하고 조사하는 활동으로 이루어지는 학습 방법으로 교실 밖에서 일어나는 모든 학습을 총칭한다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 야외 실습 후에 학생들의 점수가 향상된 것을 보여주었다. 이런 결과는 야외 실습이 야외에서 학습자가 주체가 되어 적극적인 참여로 학습하는 학생 중심 학습이고, 자연 환경을 학습의 장으로 하여 실물을 활용한 직접적인 조사활동과 같은 경험에 의한 체험 학습이기 때문인 것으로 해석된다. 또한 야외 실습에서 그룹 활동은 학생들이 지질조사를 하면서 발견된 문제나 내용에 대해 공유할 수 있는 토론 학습인 동시에 야외 활동에서 교수는 전문가 혹은 학습 촉매자로서 문제에 대한 해결책을 주거나 학생들에게 질문이나 토론의 기회를 주어 학생들의 지적, 정신적 향상에 영향을 미치기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 그러므로 야외 실습은 계획, 실행, 정리 단계가 매우 중요하다. 우선 장소 선정에 있어 강의실에서 토론된 주제 및 개념과 관련된 장소를 선정해야 하며, 야외에서는 학생과 학생, 학생과 교수 간의 그룹 활동, 토의 및 질문 시간을 충분히 가져야 함은 물론 실습 후에는 세미나를 통해 야외 활동에서 새롭게 발견하거나 조사 및 학습한 내용, 해결하지 못한 문제 등을 토론하고 정리하는 과정을 갖는 것이 필요하다고 판단된다.

  • This paper aims at analysing Regional Patterns of Farmland Price Changes for the Farmland Reverse Mortgage System. Farmland Reverse Mortgage(FRM) is a system in which the aged farmers in the rural areas receive certain amount of money monthly through the liquidation of their own farmlands for the life time. Farmland price affects the farmland annuity considerably. In the future, if the farmland price goes down than the price when the borrower joined FRM, the borrower can get profits from the pension. Based on the results, the farmland price of Kyeonggi-do is strongly related to economic growth rates(index of industrial product). while that of Gyeongsangbuk-do is weakly related to economic variables including economic growth rates. Therefore, the expectation of farmland value rising rate will be higher in Kyeonggi-do than in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Thus the number of borrowers who want to join FRM in Gyeongsangbuk-do will be more than those in Kyeonggi-do.

  • Soil nailing systems are generally many used to the temporary structure in underground excavations and reinforcements of slopes in Korea. However, large-scaled experimental studies related to soil nailing systems are mostly studies related to performance monitoring and field pullout tests. Specially, there are no researches related in the large scaled load tests of soil nailed walls in Korea. In this study, a case study on the large scaled load tests of soil nailed walls is introduced and the behavior characteristic of them is investigated. Also, they are proposed allowable deformation corresponding to the serviceability limit of soil nailed walls and ultimate deformation corresponding to the collapse state of the walls. These results can be applied to the maintenance management of soil nailed walls. And analysis on the required minimum factor of safety of soil nailed walls using the relation curve of load ratio and deformation ratio are carried out.

  • Restraining cracks on concrete structures can be the basic condition to improve the durability, so in this research, the resistibility on the drying shrinkage of concrete structures in the long period was being confirmed and as the reason of this shrinkage, the density of minute textures was being analyzed using a wooden prototype of a full scale produced with ready-mixed concrete and agents of glycol which can be used as a surfactant. As result of those tests, PFB technology can reduce the drying shrinkage by approximately $-100{\sim}200{\times}10^{-6}$ on a wooden prototype of a full scale and can also reduce the pore volume as the obstruction to the movement of gas or liquid by approximately $2.4{\sim}3.5$% so that PFB technology can be used to assure the resistibility on the drying shrinkage.

Shear Performance of Full-scale Reinforced Concrete Beams with Recycled Fine Aggregates (순환잔골재의 치환율에 따른 철근콘크리트 보의 전단성능)

  • Using the recycled aggregate can reduces the landfill space, the demand for natural raw material for new construction. Some investigations have been carried out to study the shear behaviors of RC beams with recycled aggregates. But these have some limitation due to the use of low quality recycled aggregates and small-scale specimens in the laboratory. In this study, four full-scaled RC beams were tested to evaluate the effects of replacement level (0,30, 60, and 100%) of recycled fine aggregate on shear behavior of RC beams. The results showed that the beams with recycled fine aggregates show similar crack pattern and failure mode compared with the beam with natural aggregate. Also, the beams with recycled fine aggregates present the similar shear strength except the one with the replacement level of 100% recycled fine aggregates. Shear strength were compared with the provisions in current code (KCI2007) and the equation proposed by Zsutty. The KCI equations were conservative and subsequently can be used for the shear design of recycled aggregate concrete beam.

  • This paper verified the lateral resisting capacity of CFT column-RC flat plate connection in comparison with general RC column-flat plate connection and detected moment capacity and ductility capacity of connection according to lateral force-displacement ratio. We made and tested specimens which have different variables respectively and as a result derive a following conclusion. In CFT specimen a critical section was extended and initial stiffness and moment increased 35%, 25$^{\sim}$35% respectively in comparison to general RC column specimen. In all specimens generally shear governed behaviors and in CFT specimen complemented with seismic band, flexure behavior region of slab was extended and also ductility ratio and energy absorptance increased.

  • Dynamic characteristics such as frequency and damping ratio in the ambient state of building has been progressed in domestic and foreign. However, there has not been any deep research of dynamic characteristics of full-scale structure using vibration measurement of the building damaged up to failure. Dynamic characteristics of three-story reinforced concrete building was evaluated before and after it was damaged by using a actuator. Dynamic characteristics is reviewed and compared with previous study. Ambient vibration and human excitation test were applied. After 120mm horizontal displacement by actuator, frequency of long and short direction is reduced to 34.3%, 33.7% and damping ratio is reduced to 36.5%, 19.5% respectively.

  • 10kW wind turbine is widely studied in the field of renewable energy for the merits of easy installation to the confined area such as hill, park and urban areas. The performance of various electrical devices such as converter and inverter in the wind turbine system should be systematically analyzed for various wind speeds. However, it is impossible to apply these devices directly to practical wind turbine system for the safety of wind turbine system. Therefore, it is required to develop torque simulator which can generate corresponding torque according to its wind speed. In this work, 10kW torque simulator which consists of three phase torque control inverter, 3 phase induction motor and PMSG(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator) is developed.

Uniaxial Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Column with Recycled Fine Aggregate (순환잔골재를 치환한 철근콘크리트 기둥의 압축거동 특성)

  • The use of recycled aggregates is increasing due to problems of lack of natural aggregates. But there are no appropriate design recommendations and basic data for structural members using recycled fine aggregate concrete. This paper is to evaluate compression behavior of reinforced concrete column with displacement level of recycled fine aggregate. For these purpose, four recycled fine aggregate replacement levels (0%, 30%, 60%, 100%) were considered in this paper. Four columns with 400mm${\times}$400mm in cross section are tested under axial load. Experimental results were compared using current code(KCI2007). Compressive strength of reinforced concrete columns with recycled fine aggregate showed higher than that provided in KCI 2007. The KCI provision were conservative and subsequently can be used for design of reinforced recycled fine aggregate concrete column.
