Evaluation of Thermal Comfort for the Vertical Room Air Temperature Difference and for the Control of Air Stream based on Physiological Signal Analysis (실내 상하온도차와 기류방식 제어에 따른 온열쾌적성 평가를 위한 생리신호분석)

  • 온열쾌적감에 영향을 주는 중요한 요인들로는 온도, 습도, 기류 등의 물리적 요인과 성별이나 체질 등 뿐만 아니라 온열환경에서 느끼는 인간의 감성적인 측면도 요인으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 여러 가지 온열 환경 중에서 실내의 상하온도차와 기류방식의 제어에 따른 생체반응의 변화, 및 감성의 변화를 관찰하여 온열환경에 따른 인간의 온열쾌적감을 평가하기 위해 생리신호를 측정, 분석하였다. 인간에게 가장 쾌적함을 주는 최적의 실내 상하온도차와 기류제어방식을 구현하기 위한 평가방법으로 MST(mean skin temperature)분석 및 HRV(heart rate variability) 분석과 EEG 주파수 스펙트럼 분석을 시행하였다. 그 결과 실내의 상하온도차는 23$^{\circ}C$의 머리부위 온도에서 발 부위와의 온도차가 -3$^{\circ}C$일 때 가장 쾌적한 조건으로 나타났고, 기류제어방식은 감성기류조건에서 가장 쾌적함을 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 실내의 상하온도차와 기류방식에 대한 온열환경의 쾌적조건을 설정하였고, HRV 분석과 EEG의 주파수 분석이 주판신소설문평가와 유의한 결과를 나타내어 이러한 생리신호의 분석이 인간의 감성적 측면을 고려한 온열쾌적성을 펑가하는데 보다 객관적이고 신뢰성 있는 평가지표로 이용될 수 있음을 제시하였다.

  • 실내 오염 물질의 농도는 온도와 습도에 밀접한 관계가 있으므로, 실내온도는 18~22℃, 습도는 55% 전후로 유지하는 것이 좋다. 거실 등에 인체 유해물질을 흡수하는 식목을 배치하면 공기 정화에 도움이 된다.

Analysis of Thermal Performance of Ardisia Species Used for Improvement of Indoor Environment (실내환경 개선을 위한 Ardisia속 식물의 열 성능 평가)

  • This study investigated the changes of indoor thermal environment by Ardisia species planted in indoor space. Three Ardisia species (Ardisia japonica, Ardisia crenata and Ardisia pusilla) were used in this study and differences of temperature and relative humidity were ascertained in an empty chamber with and without plants. In high temperatures over $24^{\circ}C$, Ardisia species cooled down chamber more as compared to the control without plants, but there were no significant differences among Ardisia species. Ardisia crenata showed high relative humidity of $57.3{\pm}3.1%$ during most of the day time and $60.8{\pm}2.5%$ at low temperatures. However, Ardisia japonica and Ardisia pusilla showed $54.7{\pm}1.18%$ and $52.5{\pm}2.4%$, respectively, on the average, and they maintained comfortable relative humidity during most of the day time. When the setting temperature was decreased from 28 to $26^{\circ}C$, Ardisia species showed 7.5~13.6 times greater cooling efficiency as compared to the control without plants, and at low temperatures the chamber without plants showed higher themal energy than the chamber with plants. Ardisia species were effective on cooling down the temperature at high temperatures and they showed a tendency to maintain proper temperatures at low temperatures.

  • The purpose of this study is to show distribution pattern of comfortable Indoor-Temperature in South Korea based on 10-days normal data(June 3rd, July 2nd, August 1st). Comfortable Indoor-Temperature values and Heat flow equation values for the 68 stations are constructed to show how man tend to feel in various areas. In the early summer, comfortable Indoor-Temperature is very low in Taegwallong regions and the Southern interior regions due to the influence of the orographic effects or the altitude. In the hot summer, All regions except Taegwallong and Central interior regions have been the high value. These are largely derived from the low Clo-values due to the stable weather with the highest insolation, humidity and strong radiation heat by the North Pacific Anticyclone appears in Eastern Asia.

  • Thermal comfort provide satisfaction of thermal environment and affects productivity of occupants in residential building. However, temperature control can not provide the thermal comfort at all the time. because thermal comfort is influenced by many environmental variables such as temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, radiation temperature, activity level and clothing insulation. The purpose of this study is that predicted mean vote(PMV) index is used as control. And, Thermal comfort is evaluated both PMV control and temperature control by simulation. Each other cases were compared, in which set-point temperatures of $22^{\circ}C$ and $24^{\circ}C$ and, set-point PMV index through the respective heating season in the simulation. The results show that PMV control is better to maintain comfort state and save energy than temperature control.

  • In this paper, we propose temperature inference system for indoor and outdoor temperature of the Air-Conditioner with limited sensors. The proposed system based on the network theory of biological immune system consists of indoor and outdoor temperature inference process. It is designed that on-line temperature inference is possible. This system is admirable for unlearned data as well as given input data by making efficient use of previous information.

Analysis on the Cooling Effect of Applying Temperature Discoloration Paint to a Roof Surface (온도 변색 도료의 지붕 적용 및 냉방효과 분석)

  • This study aims to introduce a temperature discoloration roof system and its cooling effect in the summer. Temperature discoloration paints can reverse their colors based on temperature changes. If these paints on the roof surface could color-shift between white in the summer and black in the winter, the indoor cooling and heating loads can be affected by the changes in reflection and absorption of solar radiation. Focusing on the summer period, the study analyzed the cooling effect of applying temperature discoloration paint that color-shifts from white to black on the roof surface of a small experimental building module and compared it to commonly used gray and green roof colors. Results of the experiment showed that the surface temperature of the roof with temperature discoloration paint was lower than the gray and green color roofs by a maximum of 10℃. Furthermore, the indoor temperature of the experimental module with the temperature discoloration roof was lower than the gray and green roofs by approximately 3℃. Findings of the study indicate that the application of temperature discoloration paint to the roof can reduce indoor cooling loads.

Building Indoor Temperature Control Using Control Horizon Method in Cooling Systems (냉방시스템 제어구간설정 방법을 이용한 건물 실내온도 제어)

  • In this paper, the TOU tariff's based building indoor temperature control algorithm in cooling systems is proposed using control horizon method. A control horizon switching method and linear programming algorithm is used for optimal control, and both TOU and peak tariffs are included to calculate the energy costs. Simulation results show that the reductions of energy cost and peak power can be obtained using proposed algorithms.

  • As the number of automobile registrations increases and luxury expectations grow, consumers are increasingly interested in indoor environment of vehicles. Therefore, manufacturers have an increasing interest in improving the indoor comfort as well as automobile performance. Research on indoor automobile comfort can help manufacturers increase driver satisfaction and reduce driver stress and discomfort, thereby reducing the risk of traffic accidents. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) measurements, we investigated the change in comfort and comfortable temperature according to the ventilating seat temperature change for both men and women. Results showed that the sensation of comfort was statistically significantly higher at 25℃ than at 28℃. Secondly, there was no statistically significant difference in temperature-based comfort feeling between male and female subjects. In the future, if the correlation between the driver's comfort feeling and the change in ventilating seat temperature is analyzed, it is possible to reduce traffic accidents caused by human error and reduce the electric energy consumption of the automobile.

  • 비가림 시설은 경제적이고 간편하기 때문에 실용적으로 많이 사용되는 재배방법으로서, 하절기 재배를 위한 간이시설 중의 하나이다. 그러나 고온기의 시설재배이기 때문에 환기를 통하여 온도상승을 억제할 필요가 있다. 따라서 관행의 비가림 시설에 뒤지지 않는 작업성을 유지하면서 효율적인 환기로 온도상승을 억제할 수 있는 시설 형태의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 간이시설의 효율적 형태의 설정을 위하여 특징적으로 분류한 3형태의 간이시설에 대하여 환기율 및 실내온도 해석을 통하여 효율성을 검토하였다. (중략)
