The Effect of Simulation Integrated with Problem Based Learning(S-PBL) on Self-leadership, Critical Thinking Disposition, Goal Commitment (PBL기반 시뮬레이션 융합교육이 간호대학생의 셀프리더십, 비판적 사고성향, 목표몰입에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was performed to examine the effects of simulation integrated with problem based learning(S-PBL) on self-leadership, critical thinking disposition, goal commitment for nursing students. The design was a one group pre-post test. The subjects consisted of one group of 90 fourth year nursing students of K Colleage. The period for this study was from March to June in 2019. The collected data were analyzed by Paired t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient. This study showed significantly higher self-leadership(t=-16.22, p<.001), critical thinking disposition(t=-11.36, p<.001), goal commitment(t=-7.06, p<.001). There was a significant positive correlation between self-leadership and critical thinking disposition(r=.438, p<.001), self-leadership and goal commitment(r=.285, p<.001). In conclusion, this study show that integrated with problem based learning(S-PBL) can be used for improvement the self-leadership, critical thinking disposition, goal commitment. It is suggested to check the effect of simulation integrated with problem based learning applying various nursing situations in the future.

  • 최근 국방 소프트웨어 분야에서는 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기술이 각광받으면서 무기체계 개발을 위한 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 개발 사업을 늘리고 있다. 특히, 시뮬레이션 요소의 재사용성 및 신뢰성 확보를 위한 개발 프레임워크 제공이 핵심기술로 떠오르면서, 시뮬레이션을 위한 공통 서비스를 제공하는 M&S 프레임워크가 개발되었다. 하지만 고객의 요구사항이 프레임워크의 기능 변경을 요구하는 경우 프레임워크가 적용된 모든 시뮬레이션 요소의 수정이 불가피하며, 추가 구성요소의 상호작용을 위한 인터페이스 재설계가 요구된다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 프레임워크의 요소를 DLL로 구현하여 기능 구성을 용이하게 하고, 구성요소 간 상호작용을 위해 데이터 기반 Publish-Subscribe 방식을 사용함으로써 프레임워크와 독립적으로 인터페이스를 설계할 수 있도록 한다. 특히, 프레임워크와 DLL 간 교환 메시지 객체에 대한 구조 설계를 제시한다.

  • The visibility for signals in designs is required for their analysis and debug during the verification process. It could be achieved through the signal dumping for designs during the execution of HDL simulation. However, such signal dumping, in general, degrades the speed of simulation significantly, or can result in the number of simulation runs. In this paper, we have proposed an efficient and fast simulation method for dumping based on the design checkpoint, and shown its effectiveness by applying it to industrial SOC designs.

  • 본 논문에서는 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경을 위한 동적 스케줄링 알고리즘을 웹 상에서 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 그리드 스케줄링 시뮬레이션 플랫폼을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현한 웹기반 동적 스케줄링 시뮬레이션 플랫폼은 자바 환경의 그리드 스케줄링 툴킷인 GridSim과 GridBroker를 수정하여 시뮬레이션 도구로 활용하였으며 자원 모델링, 작업 모델링, 알고리즘 컴파일을 웹 상에서 수행할 수 있다. 특히, 실시간 자원정보를 활용하는 동적 스케줄링 알고리즘을 지원함으로써 실제 그리드의 특성을 최대한 반영하였다. 구축한 플랫폼은 향후 그리드 연구에 기반구조로 활용될 수 있으며, 스케줄링 기법의 성능 분석을 위한 도구로 사용될 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a web-based grid scheduling platform(WGridSP), which can model a system and simulate scheduling scheme in grid computing. WGridSP used GridSim, a grid scheduling toolkit in java-environment, as a tool for simulation and is able to Perform resource modeling, task modeling, algorithm compiling, simulation, and Performance evaluation rapidly in web environment. WGridSP can be applied as a foundation for grid research and can be used to analyze the efficiency of scheduling algorithm.

  • Rule-based access control can not completely be replaced by identity-based access control. Neither can role-based access control be a merger of identity-based access control and rule-based access control, but can be used complementarily for each other. In this paper, is proposed a simulation model designed for a new integrated access control method that has been created by means of integrating the existing access control methods. The integrated access control method is equipped with security, integrity and flow control and can easily accomodate the requirements for access control from role-based corporate bodies. The simulation model proposed in this paper can be applied for real working system designs.

  • Now distribution centers include an ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieving System) and automated transfer systems such as conveyors and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle). These automated distribution centers have lots of parameters to be considered fur operating performance. The general basic parameters in the distribution centers are specifications of storage equipment, system operating rules, configuration of storage area and unit load features. In this paper, an approach using simulation and metamodeling with response Surface method to optimize the design parameters of an automated distribution center model is presented. The simulation based metamodel will constitute an efficient approximation of the system function, and the approximate function will be used to design rapid optimal parameters of the distribution center model. This paper provides a comprehensive framework for economical material flow system design using the simulation and metamodeling.

  • This paper presents the optimal design and analysis method of the train overhaul maintenance facility based on the simulation. Because the train is composed of a coach or more, we design the simulation model after analyzing the operation of train into train, coach, coach's body parts and wheel parts and soon. In simulation analysis, we consider the critical (dependent) factors and design (independent) parameters for the selection of alternatives and optimal design. Therefore, Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is proposed for the selection of alternatives and optimal method in order to find the optimal design factors. The case study for the above approach is used for the electronic locomotive overhaul maintenance facility. This paper provides a comprehensive framework for the train overhaul maintenance facility design using the simulation, MCDM and optimal methods. Therefore, the method developed for this research can be adopted for other enhancements in different but comparable situation.

Fuzzy-based Segment-Boost Method for Effective Face Recognition (퍼지기반 Segment-Boost 방법을 통한 효과적인 얼굴인식)

  • This paper suggests fuzzy-based Segment-Boost method and an effective method for face recognition using the fuzzy-based Segment-Boost. Fuzzy-based Segment-Boost eliminates the limitations of Segment-Boost, and it guarantees improved learning performance and the stability of the performance. By using the fuzzy theory, fuzzy-based Segment-Boost optimizes the selection number of sub-vectors, and leads the optimized learning performance. The fuzzy controller designed in this paper measures learning performance of the fuzzy-based Segment-Boost, and it controls the selection number of sub-vectors by inferring the optimized selection number. The simulation results show that the fuzzy controller inferred the selection number which is very approximate to the true optimized value. As a result, fuzzy-based Segment-Boost showed higher face recognition rate than compared boosting methods and it preserves the velocity of feature selection as fast as that of Segment-Boost. From the experimental results, it was proved that fuzzy-based Segment-Boost has improved and stable performances of learning, feature selection and face recognition.

  • In this paper, we design Input/Output modules as a preference work for implementation of hybrid two stage AWG based WDM-PON and verify operations of each function modules through the logic simulation. This WDM-PON system provides service to 128 ONUs through 32 wavelength and one wavelength is shared for upstream transmission with four ONU while each wavelength is allocated to each ONU for downstream transmission. The designed WDM-PON MAC chip is based on sub-MAC which consists of one control unit and reception unit and four transmission unit. To design the reception and transmission unit of sub-MAC, we define the functions of the sub-MAC, pins of the modules, control signal and timing of each signal. We intend to design MAC chip with 1Gbps transmission rate. Thus the designed MAC chip is worked on 125MHz clock rate. We define FSM and design Input/Output modules with VHDL. The logic simulation of the modules is executed by the ModelSIM simulator.
