Checklists for Construction Drawings of Office Buildings based on Working Drawing Analysis (공사용도면 현황분석에 기반한 일반업무시설 실시설계도면 체크리스트 개선방안)

  • Currently the quality of construction drawings is deteriorated due to restrictions on time costs allowed to the design phase. Moreover shop drawings are arbitrarily produced without the standard criteria, and cleared off after the completion of construction. As a result, the information of produced shop drawings is not feedback to the design phase, and the quality of the construction drawings become worse. This study proposes checklists that include information requested at construction sites and the shop drawings as well as the existing checklists for the construction drawings. The checklists integrate designer's check-items according to breakdown of drawings and contractor's check-items base don construction process. Index matrices of the integrated checklists is developed for practical application of the checklists, and validated through intensive interview with design and construction practitioners.

  • The field application through the quality control of self adhesive rubberized asphalt waterproofing sheet was regulated by KS F 4934 of Korea Standard in 2003. However, regulations that different material properties of self-Adhesive waterproofing sheets are difficult on the standard. Therefore, this research was performed for of quality control all affiliations of self-adhesive waterproofing sheet through basic properties test and proposed quality standard revised bill in KS F 4934.

  • Among the Barrier Free (BF) certification evaluation items for public facilities, at which position the standard for the effective height of the stair railing handle should be calculated is not clearly determined. Because of this, not only the evaluation standards of the certification authority and the evaluation committee are different, but disputes are occurring between the ordering organization, the design company, and the construction company. Therefore, the stair railing installation standard laws for public facilities were analyzed and through a case study of institutions that obtained the BF certification, problems were analyzed. The results of problem analysis reveal the following. 1) The standards of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport were different. 2) The effective height calculation standard was ambiguous, and disputes occurred frequently. To solve this problem, we proposed improvement plans for calculating the height of the stair railing that can comply with laws while ensuring safety.

  • 우리나라에서 현재 적용중인 배전용 지중케이블은 1973년 처음 도입되어 도시의 중심 번화가와 변전소 인출개소 및 신도시 택지개발 지역 둥에 주로 설치되어 현재는 약 17,231 C-km (2002.12말 기준)에 이르고 있다. '86 아시안 게임과 '88 서울올림픽을 대비해 설치했던 케이블들은 설치 당시의 열악한 제작, 시공 및 관리 기술의 부족으로 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이런 불량케이블이나 20년 이상된 노후케이블의 절연상태를 파악하기 위해 현재 적용 기준으로 되어있는 등온완화전류법을 이용한 열화진단장비를 현장에 적용해 보고 사례를 분석해보므로써 이 장비의 문제점과 향후 개선방향을 모색해 보았다.

화약산업의 발파안전 대책 - 소음진동 및 안전거리 설정을 중심으로 -

  • (1) 화약발파작업을 시작하기 전에는 필히 시험발파, 안전진단을 통해 공해 및 안전사고 발생요소들을 면밀히 분석하고 파악하여 발파공법, 천공공법, 사용폭약 의 종류, 사용약량 등을 결정하고 이에 따른 적합한 안전거리의 설정, 안전덮게, 안전망의 사용, 필요시 휀스철망 설치등의 안전조치를 완벽히 취해야겠다. 또한 현행 소음진동규제법에 의하면 폭약 사용시 7일전 신고의무 규정을 우리나라의 공사 현실을 감안해 볼 재검토 할 필요가 있다. (2) 선진국의 발파진동 기준을 우리나라 의 경우와 비교 분석해 볼때 우리나라의 경우 발파진동 안전기준은 도심지에는 대체 로 0.5cm/sec가 적당하고 고주택, 아파트 등이 밀집된 지역이나 건물지반이 특히 약한 곳은 0.2cm/sec을 적용함이 타당하다고 판단된다. 또한 도심지에서의 안전발파 를 위한 터널공법으로는 주변 생활환경 소음진동방지를 위한 심발법으로 브이 컷법 을, 여굴방지와 미려시공 등 공사시 안전사고, 소음진동을 방지하기 위한 공법으로는 슬러리, 파이 넥스 폭약을 이용한 정밀면 발파법을 권장한다. (3) 연화발사시 안전 거리를 3.deg. 기준 최소반경 129m, 12" 기준 최고 반경 200m로 설정하여야 겠다. 또한 연화발사시 발생하는 폭발 소음은 80 - 100dB 정도로써 대량으로 장시간 발사 시는 청력장해 등의 피해가 발생할 수 있으나 우리나라의 경우는 발사 총 시간이 대체로 30분을 초과하지 않으므로 관람자나 일반인들이 소음피해를 호소할 수준은 아니라고 결론지을 수 있다.수 있다.

건축실무 전문화에 관한 UIA 국제 표준안

  • WTO 세계무역기구의 발족과 더불어 국가간의 개방과 정책에 따라 건설시장은 물론 사회 전 분야에 걸쳐 새로운 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 건축 관련 부분은 민간사업뿐 아니고 정부 조달시장까지도 개방되어 정부부처나 지방 자치단체에서 구매하는 물품(설계 및 시공 포함)에 외국업체가 참여하고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 건축 설계의 경우 "서비스 무역에 관한 일반 협정"에 의해 원칙적인 기준만 체결되어 있을 뿐 상호인증에 관한 세부사항은 서로의 제도가 동일하거나 합의한 나라를 제외하고는 당사국간의 상이한 제도와 운영체제로 인하여 실용화되고 있지 않고 있다. 국내에서는 지난 4년간 "국가를 상대로 하는 계약에 관한 법률"을 제정하고 건설제도 기획단을 운영하여 시장개방에 대처해 왔으나 국제적인 건축 설계 관련 단체인 UIA와는 의견 교환이 없었다. 특히 상호인증에 따른 기본 요건으로 대두되고 있는 건축교육, 실습 및 훈련, 건축사 자격 등에 대한 우리의 입장을 정리하여 국제적으로 대응할 필요성이 요구되고 있으며 건축설계 관련자들에게 매우 중요한 관심사의 하나로 되어 있다. 따라서 이러한 문제를 논의하기 위해 국제건축가연맹(UIA)에서는 용역실무협의회를 설치하여 이미 2년여에 걸쳐 인정방법에 대한 세부사항을 검토하고 있으며, 올해(6월) 북경 총회에서 상호인정 표준안을 공포할 예정이다. 이와 관련하여 건축3단체(대한건축사협회, 대한건축학회, 한국건축가협회)주관으로 건축사자격 상호인정에 대한 공동 대응책을 논의하고자 건축계와 정부가 함께 참석하여 토론회를 개최한 바 있으며, 또한 본협회 국제위원회에서 한국측을 대표하여 지난 98년 12월에 열린 UIA 용역실무위원회(PPC)에 참석하여 상호인정에 대한 우리측 입장을 개진한 바 있다. 이에 본지에서는 문호 개방에 따른 한국건축의 현안에 대한 현실적이고 구체적인 문제점이 검토되고 아울러 우리 건축계의 입장 정리와 실질적인 의견을 수렴하고자 UIA 국제 표준안 전문에 이어 부록을 정리하여 게재한다

A Study on the Architectural Education System for Globalization (국제화시대에 대비한 우리나라 건축교육제도 개선 연구)

  • In recent globalization era, Korean architectural education and profession are emerging as the fields with serious problems. There are two major reasons. One is an internal factor caused by Ministry of Education's full scale shift from department to faculty system. Due to the drastic change in this system, most of schools have serious difficulties to deliver the proper professional education. And the other is an external factor. In WTO era, Union of International Architects has adopted $\ulcorner$UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism In Architectural Practice$\lrcorner$. According to the education section of the Accord, it requires 5 years of professional education in the accredited school. So, if it is formally adopted in the Beijing Congress, which is scheduled to be held in June 1999, we may face very serious problems in architectural education. As mentioned above, with the present education system it is believed not easy to meet their new criteria. Within the present system, which does not have any mandatory relationship with professional licence, students might go on to diverse fields such as architectural design, structural engineering, construction management and building equipment engineering. However, if UIA Accord and Engineering Accreditation are required at the same time, it will not be easy to meet their new criteria with present architectural education system. The goal of this paper is to suggest the models to meet the standards of international community while keeping the strengths of existing systems.

A Study on Anti-Icing Technique for Weather-Tight Door of Ice-Strengthened Vessels (내빙선박용 풍우밀 문의 결빙방지 기법 연구)

  • Icing problem of ice-strengthened vessels is an important issue when operating in low temperature environment and it can cause damage to deck machineries and emergency equipments. Many ice-strengthened vessels have since been constructed and operated in accordance with the ice class rules such as Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and so on. Therefore winterization is defined as the preparation of a ship for safe operation. In this research, anti-icing performance tests of weather-tight door have been carried out at various temperature conditions($5^{\circ}C$, $-10^{\circ}C$, $-20^{\circ}C$, $-30^{\circ}C$, $-40^{\circ}C$) in the low temperature cold room facility and then, ambient temperature, specimen temperature, electric current and temperature of heating cable were measured during the test operations. This research describes the construction guidelines of weather-tight door based on anti-icing test results to apply to the full-scale vessels.

Value Analysis of Floor Covering Methods Considering the Skid Resistance Performance (미끄럼저항성능을 고려한 바닥재 시공법의 성능평가방안)

  • In modern society, rooftops and underground spaces are utilized for overcoming a confined space limitation of metropolitan areas. Therefore, floor covering construction is also increasing steadily. From the user's viewpoint, skid resistance performance of floor covering methods is a very important performance criterion for safety and amenity, but an appropriate design and assessment criteria for skid resistance performance are not available. This study presents the skid resistance performance assessment method of floor covering methods considering the sidewalk skid resistance standard of Seoul city and the guideline of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs(MLTM) of Korea for road safety facilities'installation and maintenance. For this research, three alternatives among urethane floor covering methods are selected and their skid resistance performance is analyzed through an experimental study. The analyzed performance is also evaluated by the skid resistance performance assessment method. Finally, the comprehensive performance assessment including the results of skid resistance performance assessment is conducted by Value Analysis(VA) in order to encourage the construction methods of floor covering which have a high skid resistance performance. As a result of VA, the particle method which the skid resistance performance is improved up to four times more than other alternatives shows the highest performance index of 83.86.
