  • This paper dealt with an oscillator which can be integrated and 1 he switching characteristics of the transistor as a component of multistage switching circuits . The switching characteristics were analyzed by utilizing the base voletare and the charactistics of the minit step function. Taking the storage time of the transistor into consideration, the transistor is considered as a time delay device, and an integrable time delay circuit an osicillator are realized.

  • This paper proposes a frequency transfer function synthesis for simplifying a high-order model with time delay to a low-order model. The model reduction is based on minimizing the m function weighted by the numerator polynomial of reduced systems. The proposed methods provide a better fitness within low frequency. Four examples are given to illustrate the feasibilities of the suggested schemes.

  • 최근에 Serverless 컴퓨팅은 많은 관심을 받는 기술로, 서버 프로비저닝 없이 코드를 배포하고 실행할 수 있으며 요청량에 따라 동적으로 컴퓨팅 리소스를 확장하여 애플리케이션을 안정적으로 운영할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. Serverless 컴퓨팅의 주요 이슈 중 하나인 cold start 는 함수를 실행하기 위한 컨테이너 초기화 및 구동하는 단계이며, 해당 과정에서는 이미지 풀링이 수행될 수 있다. 이미지 풀링은 cold start 지연의 대부분을 차지하고 함수의 응답시간을 증가 시켜서 사용자 경험에 부정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 cold start 지연을 줄이기 위해 도커를 활용해서 이미지 레이어 동시 풀링 개수를 조절함으로써 이미지 풀링 속도를 개선시킬 수 있는지 분석하였다. 이와 같은 분석을 통해 풀링 개수가 풀링 속도에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 확인하였다.

HRTF Interpolation Using a Spherical Head Model (원형 머리 모델을 이용한 머리 전달 함수의 보간)

  • In this paper, a new interpolation model for the head related transfer function (HRTF) was proposed. In the method herein, we assume that the impulse response of the HRTF for each azimuth angle is given by linear interpolation of the time-delayed neighboring impulse responses of HRTFs. The time delay of the HRTF for each azimuth angle is given by sum of the sound wave propagation time from the ears to the sound source, which can be estimated by using azimuth angle, the physical shape of the underlying head and the distance between the head and sound source, and the refinement time yielding the minimum mean square error. Moreover, in the proposed model, the interpolation intervals were not fixed but varied, which were determined by minimizing the total number of HRTFs while the synthesized signals have no perceptual difference from the original signals in terms of sound location. To validate the usefulness of the proposed interpolation model, the proposed model was applied to the several HRTFs that were obtained from one dummy-head and three human heads. We used the HRTFs that have 5 degree azimuth angle resolution at 0 degree elevation (horizontal plane). The experimental results showed that using only $30\sim40%$ of the original HRTFs were sufficient for producing the signals that have no audible differences from the original ones in terms of sound location.

Guaranteed Cost Controller Design Method for Singular Systems with Time Delays using LMI (선형행렬부등식을 이용한 시간지연 특이시스템의 보장비용 제어기 설계방법)

  • This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a guaranteed cost state feedback controller for singular systems with time-varying delays. The sufficient condition for the existence of guaranteed cost controller, the controller design method, and the optimization problem to get the upper bound of guaranteed cost function are proposed by LMI(linear matrix inequality), singular value decomposition, Schur complements, and change of variables. Since the obtained sufficient conditions can be changed to LMI form, all solutions including controller gain and the upper bound of guaranteed cost function can be obtained simultaneously. Moreover, the proposed controller design method can be extended to the problem of robust guaranteed cost controller design method for singular systems with parameter uncertainties and time-varying delays. The validity of the proposed design algorithm is investigated through a numerical example.

Efficient Sound Source Localization System Using Angle Division (영역 분할을 이용한 효율적인 음원 위치 추정 시스템)

  • Sound source localization systems in service robot applications estimate the direction of a human voice. Time delay information obtained from a few separate microphones is widely used for the estimation of the sound direction. Correlation is computed in order to calculate the time delay between two signals. Inverse cosine is used when the position of the maximum correlation value is converted to an angle. Because of nonlinear characteristic of inverse cosine, the accuracy of the computed angle is varied depending on the position of the specific sound source. In this paper, we propose an efficient sound source localization system using angle division. By the proposed approach, the region from $0^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}$ is divided into three regions and we consider only one of the three regions. Thus considerable amount of computation time is saved. Also, the accuracy of the computed angle is improved since the selected region corresponds to the linear part of the inverse cosine function. By simulations, it is shown that the error of the proposed algorithm is only 31% of that of the conventional a roach.

Guaranteed Cost and $H_{\infty}$ Filtering for Delayed Fuzzy Dynamic Systems (시간지연 퍼지 시스템의 보장비용 및 $H_{\infty}$ 필터링)

  • This paper presents a method for designing guaranteed cost fuzzy filter with a desired H$_{\infty}$ disturbance rejection constraint of delayed fuzzy dynamic systems. This method not only guarantees an induced L$_2$ norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation, but also minimizes an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. A sufficient condition for the existence of guaranteed cost fuzzy filter with H$_{\infty}$ constraint is then presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). A simulation example is given to illustrate the design procedures and performances of the proposed methods.

  • PID control for unstable processes with time delay is not easy to apply because of unstability due to the poles existing on left-hand side in s-plane and the effect of time delay. In this paper, the authors consider the PID controller design technique in case of predefining overshoot or rising time by designer according to control environment. To deal with constraint problem like this, in this paper, the RCGA incorporating the penalty strategy is used. This is the method that if the RCGA violates given constraints, the defined penalty function is summed to the evaluation function depending on the severity and then the given constraint problem is converted to non-constraints optimization problem. The proposed method is applied to the unstable FOPTD(First Order Plus Time Delay) system and simulations are accomplished to illustrate the set-point tracking performance.

Analysis of a fixed source-to-receiver underwater acoustic communication channel parameters in shallow water (송수신기가 고정된 천해 수중음향통신 채널 매개변수 해석)

  • Underwater acoustic communication channel parameters consist of impulse response, delay spreading, scattering function, coherence bandwidth, frequency selective fading, coherence time and time variant magnitude fading statistics on which communication system modem and channel coding are designed. These parameters are influenced by sound velocity profile, platform motion and sea surface roughness in given acoustical oceanography condition. In this paper, channel model based on phasor, channel simulator, measurement and analysis method of channel parameters are given in a fixed source-to-receiver system and the parameters are analyzed using shallow water experimental data. For two different source-to-receiver ranges of 300 m and 600 m, the parameters are characterized by three multipaths such as a direct, a surface reflection path with time variant scattering and a bottom reflection path. The results present a channel modelling method of a fixed source source-to-receiver system, channel parameters measurement and analysis methods and a system design and performance assessment method in shallow water.

  • This paper presents the stability analysis and design for a sampled-data fuzzy control system with neutral type of time delay, which is formed by a nonlinear plant and a sampled-data fuzzy controller connected in a closed loop. The sampling activity and neutral type of time delay will complicate the system dynamics and make the stability analysis much more difficult than that for a pure continuous-time fuzzy control system. Based on the fuzzy-model-based control approach, LMI(linear matrix inequality)-based stability conditions are derived to guarantee the nonlinear networked system stability. An application example will be given to show the merits and design a procedure of the proposed approach.
