  • Conventional cell characterization does not consider Multiple Input Switching(MIS). Since the impact of MIS on gate delay variation is large, it is not possible to predict the accurate gate delay with the conventional cell characterization. We observed the maximum 46% difference in gate delay due tn MIS. In this paper, we propose a gate delay model considering the delay variation caused by the temporal proximity of MIS. The proposed model calculates the delay variation using the Radial Basis Function. The experimental results show that the proposed method can more accurately predict the gate delay when MIS occurs.

  • Digital waveguide model is a general method that is used in physical modeling of musical instruments. Wave motion is analyzed by time or by space in digital waveguide model. Because sampling is made via time, it is general that musical instrument model is described by wave motion of time. In this paper, we synthesized the musical instrument sound by adding instrument body model to the spatial based string model. In this way, we could improve sound quality and process musical instrument model's tone control variables effectively. We explained about delay error that happens in string and body in space based sampling and showed method to process fractional delay using FD (Fractional Delay)filter. Finally, we explained the relation between tone quality and number of delays. And we also compared the result with time base digital waveguide model.

  • The crosstalk effects that can be observed in the very dee submicron semiconductor chips are due to the coupling capacitances between interconnect lines. The accuracy of the full-chip timing analysis is determined by the accuracy of the estimated propagation delays of cells and interconnects within the chip. This paper presents a CMOS cell driver model and delay calculation algerian capturing the crosstalk effects due to the coupling capacitances. The proposed model and algorithm were implemented in a delay calculation program and used to estimate the propagation delays of the benchmark circuits extracted from a chip layout. We observed that the average discrepancy from HSPICE simulation results is within $1\%$ for the circuits with a victim affected by $0\~10$ aggressors.

  • This paper concerns delay-range-dependent robust stability and stabilization for time-delay nonliner system via T-S fuzzy model approach. The time delay is assumed to be a time-varying continuous function belonging to a given range. On the basis of a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, which includes the information of the range, delay-range-dependent stability criteria are established in terms of linear matrix inequality. It is shown that the new criteria can provide less conservative results than some existing ones. Moreover, the stability criteria are also used to design the stabilizing state-feedback controllers. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach.

  • This paper introduces a $L_{\infty}$-gain state feedback fuzzy controller design for the time delay nonlinear system represented by Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. First, the T-S fuzzy model is employed to represent the time delay nonlinear system. Next based on the fuzzy model, a fuzzy state feedback controller is developed to achieve $L_{\infty}$-gain performance. Finally, sufficient conditions are derived for $L_{\infty}$-gain performance. The sufficient conditions are formulated in the format of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The effectiveness of the proposed controller design methonology is finally demonstrated through numerical simulations.

  • This paper deals with a model reduction problem for the linear systems with state delay. After defining the controllability/observability Gramians, the concept of a balanced model for the linear systems with state delay is introduced. Based on solutions of linear matrix inequalities, the model reduction method with guaranteed error bounds is developed. In order to demonstrate the efficacy of teh suggested method, a numerical example is also performed.

  • This paper deals with a model reduction for linear systems with time varying delayed states. A generalized controllability and observability gramians are defined and obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities. Using the generalized controllability and observability gramians, the balanced state space equation is realized. The reduced model can be obtained by truncating states in the balanced realization and the upper bound of model approximation error is also presented. In order to demonstrate efficacy of the suggested method, a numerical example is performed.

In this paper we represent romantic behaviors in the love equation of Romeo and Juliet as time series and phase portraits in the case of with and without time delay. And we also analyze their difference.

  • The practical control problems for the lime-delay system is considered. The delay-free characteristics of the Smith Predictor is available only when both the process and it's model are exactly matched. So it does not used widely in practical industrial processes. In this paper, using the 2nd-order plus dead time model in place of the plant model of the Smith Predictor, the proposed controller shows the improved performance in case of the very long time delay. And the range of integral constant of the PI controller is also proposed.
