시각 주목 정보에 기반한 자율 가상 캐릭터의 인지 메모리 설계

  • 프로그램된 정보를 사용하는 자율 가상 캐릭터는 항상 반복된 패턴 행동을 하기 때문에 사용자가 흥미를 잃는 경우가 많고 현실성도 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 자율 가상캐릭터가 자율적으로 인지한 정보를 저장하고 저장한 정보를 활용하여 상황에 맞는 행동을 수행할 수 있는 메모리 체계를 제안한다. 본 논문은 자율 가상 캐릭터가 시각 주목으로 인지한 정보를 저장하고 관리하는 메모리 체계의 모델을 제시한다. 메모리 용량을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 게임 환경에 적합한 빠른 시각 주목 알고리즘을 연구하여 중요하고 눈에 띄는 정보만 저장한다. 자율 가상 캐릭터의 인지 메모리를 크게 시각 기억와 공간 관계 기억 구조로 구성한다. 시각 기억은 쿼드그래프로 구현된 저장 구조에 인지한 정보를 저장한다. 공간 관계 기억은 공간 관계 그래프 이론을 기반으로 객체들간의 방향과 거리 정보를 저장한다. 본 논문의 제안 방법을 가상 환경에서 실험한 결과, 자율 가상 캐릭터는 시각 주목 기능으로 3차원 가상 환경의 동적 객체까지 감지하여 자율적으로 정보를 주목하여 저장하고 있음을 확인했다. 자율 가상캐릭터는 메모리 정보를 활용하여 목표 객체를 빠르게 탐색하며 길찾기에 필요한 경로 계획을 수립한다. 성능면에서는 주목맵만들기 위한 특징맵으로 가장 주목할 수 있는 특징들로 구성하여 처리속도가 1.6배 이상 향상됨을 확인했다.

  • An autonomous virtual character can conduct itself like a human after recognizing and interpreting the virtual environment. Artificial vision is mainly used in the recognition of the environment for a virtual character. The present artificial vision that has been developed takes all the information at once from everything that comes into view. However, this can reduce the efficiency and reality of the system by saving too much information at once, and it also causes problems because the speed slows down in the dynamic environment of the game. Therefore, to construct a vision system similar to that of humans, a visual observation system which saves only the required information is needed. For that reason, this research focuses on the descriptive artificial intelligence engine which detects the most important information visually recognized by the character in the virtual world and saves it into the memory by degrees. In addition, a visual system is constructed in accordance with an image transaction theory to make it sense and recognize human feelings. This system finds the attention area of moving objects quickly and effectively through the experiment of the virtual environment with three dynamic dimensions. Also the experiment enhanced processing speed more than 1.6 times.

  • We see many images every day, some of these images are stored in memory, and the majority are immersed in the unconscious world. Visual elements are seen by personal attention or by visual or biological attention factors. Specific and clear discovery of this visual attention has not yet been made. However, there is an interesting discussion of this visual attention in the fields of interior, design, visual perception, advertising, and psychology. Advertising photographers are expected to produce what their work will have on viewers and consumers. However, the adjustment of subject, exposure, color, or post-production, which could have a visual effect on the consumer, was determined only by the photographer's senses rather than the experimental verification. The advertisement photographs provide a specific image related to the object to be advertised and deliver a certain message. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the effect of the image in a certain visual way. According to previous studies, there are two major factors that affect the visual impression of the viewer. One is the factor depending on the type and content of the subject and the other is the factor about the density and color of the subject. The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaningful changes in the visual perception depending on the shape, content, color and tone of the subject, which can be called the main subject, And to analyze the effects of I will study some implications of visual elements through various analyzes.

Microphotographs and the Invisible Method of Specimen Preparation (현미경 사진, 그리고 감추어진 방법)

  • Studies in scientific visualization have disclosed a visual chain among many scientific visualizations, which starts from the photographs that have many details to diagrams that enable scientists to make specific claims due to their abstract characters. Located at both ends of the visual chain, photographs and diagrams are regarded as being different kinds and having different characteristics. The photographs - or microphotographs to be precise - that this paper discusses, however, had been removed of unnecessary details and were prepared with carful attention to illustrative functions that diagrams usually perform. Following microphotographic changes in a Korean laboratory, this article shows that the knowledge of specimen preparation was transmitted from an American leading group to the Korean laboratory through a direct contact, and that with this, the technique of taking microphotographs of the laboratory was much improved. The specimen preparation method is, however, a tacit knowledge that is invisible in both group's papers. This article argues that the method of specimen preparation is the driving force that made the microphotographs act like carefully prepared diagrams and acquire objectivity.

  • 최근 네트워크 및 정보통신 기술의 발달로 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 환경이 구체화되면서 미래의 정보 기술 산업을 주도할 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(Ubiquitous Sensor Network : USN)가 주목받고 있다. 이러한 USN기반의 서비스는 각종 센서들로부터 인식된 데이터를 수집하고 이를 가공하여 사용자가 이해하기 쉽게 USN 자원에 대한 정보를 전달해야 한다. 그러나 USN자원에 대한 정보를 사용자가 이해하기 쉽도록 웹 상에서 시각적으로 표현하기 위한 연구는 보이지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 USN 데이터를 크게 센싱데이터와 메타데이터로 분류하고 이를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 시각적 요소들을 제안하였다. 그리고 사용자 질의에 대한 응답을 분석하여 각 응답 유형에 따라 시각적 요소를 효과적으로 조합하여 사용자가 쉽게 인지할 수 있는 웹 페이지를 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • This paper researches the relationship between Youtube K-pop music video views and visual characteristics. K-pop music video, which is the subject of study has intrigued the world since 'Gangnam Style' became Youtube's most viewed video in 2012. This paper questions the existence of element that are related to music video views which is not externally visible and the availability of the discovering the specific element. Previous studies had difficulty in searching the inherent elements of the music video associated with views because they chose a research method that compares music videos based on one or two pieces of work and had a biased result. Therefore, this paper goals to divide nine music videos according to the number of views in three groups and analyze their visual characteristics to find out the differences between the groups and their each features. This paper will contribute to the development of music video field in Youtube market where the number of views is getting more important recently.

Change of Pre-Service Elementary Teachers' Professional Visions through Video-Based Reflection on Science Classroom (과학 수업 비디오에 기초한 반성 활동을 통한 초등 예비교사의 전문적 시각의 변화)

  • This study investigated the change of pre-service elementary teachers' professional visions through video-based reflection on science teaching with focus on their attention and pedagogical reasoning about student learning. Specifically, we compared two reflection cycles before and after pre-service elementary teachers went through the collaborative video-based reflection process in a professional learning community. The primary data were collected from eight pre-service elementary teachers and included their science lesson plans, videotaped lessons, video-reflection papers, and transcripts from the interviews. Pre-service elementary teachers' attention was categorized in five aspects: classroom management & control, teacher's instruction, students' thinking & learning, subject knowledge, and assessment. The level of their pedagogical reasoning about student thinking and learning was determined with six levels based on the number of evidence, evidence area, and evidence type. The findings revealed that 1) individual reflection is not enough - collaborative reflection is essential to change their attention toward students learning and thinking 2) pedagogical reasoning levels increase gradually throughout the individual and collaborative video-based reflection processes. The participants not only attributed student learning solely to the characteristics of students but also connected it with their own instruction or science content knowledge and used different types of evidences as they went through two reflection cycles. Implications for using video in the teacher education program were discussed.

  • Mobile device, one of typical devices in ubiquitous environment, is received attention owing to portability. In these days, technical researches on a kind of the device are focusing on applications of smart phone. For example, the techniques using geographical position and applied instances such as augmented reality techniques are gradually increasing. That makes data processing important. Mobile application services for users also require various application techniques based on moving objects. In addition, they require the techniques that processed data are needed to be shown in visualization. However, this is reality that it lacks of showing visualization works to improve the understanding of thing what it is. To reduce or solve the problems, in this paper we show the results to implement the R tree based 3 dimension index architecture in visualization. Further, we implemented and present creating objects, showing in 3D for the objects, catching spatial position on a node map through mini map function and improving the understanding of R tree by visualizing.

  • 오늘날 급변하는 환경 속에서 기업이 계속 살아남고 성장해 나가기 위해서는 경제적 측면에서의 효율성이나 경쟁력을 강화해 나가야 함과 동시에 보다 거시적이고 장기적인 시각에서 사회로부터 정상적인 기업 활동을 인정받는 사회적 정당성(social legitimacy)을 획득하기 위해 노력해야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 해당 기업에 대해서는 물론 국가 전체적으로 반(反)기업정서가 만연하게 된다. 바로 이러한 시각에서 볼 때 여기서 우리가 다루고자 하는 기업의 사회적 책임과 기업윤리 문제는 기업의 지속가능경영을 위한 거시경영분야의 연구에서도 가장 주목을 받는 부분이다.
