In various cultures and civilizations, artists are trying new ideas of reinterpreting the beauty of classic and redefining it in the ways of modern times rather than creating something new. In other words, modern cultural trend is creating a new culture by combining sensibilities of classic amid the flood of information with modern senses of artists. This study tries to combine various cultures an designs in accordance with this cultural change. Based on the features of expressing emotions of individuals and the world of impossible experiences from the short story 'When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom' of Lee Hyoseok, an incomplete area of consciousness which is at the border line of the polarized world divided by existence and absence is the area which creates a new culture by arousing readers' imagination as a potential world of thought. In addition, based on language from the short story, a researcher tries to utilize symbolic and imaginal beauties inside of that language as a material of design, and formative analysis them with the composition of proper words for visualization.

Recently in the field of information design use of multimedia Including animation has been rapidly increased. And its application is expanding in the field of design nevertheless relevant research in this field is scant. In particular research on which characteristics contribute to improvement for effect of information communication is negligible. Until now designers' interest was mainly focused on visual perfection of screen such as diversity and originality. Actually the aspect of recognition of design was mostly overlooked. But considering ultimate purpose of Information design is accurate communication of information thus there should be more endeavor for research on man's visual recognitive faculty and memory in order to Improve power of communication of information for the purpose of reducing confusion of user before its originality and diversity. For this reason this author in this treatise attempted to examine possible impact of multimedia in information design on recognition of user and communication based on theory of effectiveness of media and also attempted to identify how maximize its effect under different circumstances. Theories on effectiveness of media can be summed up as that well- advanced information of multimedia should be analysed from diverse standpoints on relevancy to tasks and recognitive relevancy rather than its simplification from the standpoint of richness of media. For optimal interface design unnecessary recognitive load should be eliminated and information should be structured by laking maximum advantage of working memory of limited quantity. Also there will be need for selection of proper media and suggestion of expressive method to enable building accurate and successful mental image. In this treatise this author attempted to contribute to designer's decision making in future through examining theories on effectiveness of media in connection with the question of which information technology should be used in order to heighten effect of information communication appropriate to information design.

Lee & Kang (2002) showed that simultaneous phonological rehearsal significantly delayed the performance of multiplication but not subtraction, whereas holding an image in the memory delayed subtraction but not multiplication. This result indicated that arithmetic function is related to working memory in a subsystem-specific manner. The aim of the current study was to examine the neural correlates of previous finding using fMRI. For this goal, dual task conditions that required suppression or no suppression were manipulated. In general, several areas were more activated in the interference conditions than in the less interference conditions, although both conditions were dual condition. More important finding is that the specific areas activated in the phonological suppression rendition were right inferior frontal gyrus, left angular, and inferior parietal lobule, while the areas activated in the other condition were mainly in the right superior temporal gyrus and anterior cingulate gyrus. Furthermore, the areas activated in the phonological or visual less suppression condition were right medial frontal gyrus, left middle frontal gyrus, and bilateral medial frontal gyri, anterior cingulate cortices, and parahippocampal gyri, respectively. These results revealed that sharing the processing code invokes interference, and its neural basis.

Previous studies show that VR images can influence consumers' attitudes and behaviors by evoking imagination. In this study, we introduce a reality-based closed-loop 3D image (hereafter Virtualgraph). Then we try to see whether such image would increase evocativeness in a mobile commerce environment and whether higher telepresence of the visual image of a product can increase the purchase intention of that product. In order to find the above, we developed a model comprised of constructs containing telepresence, perceived value price, perceived food quality, and vividness of visual imagery questionnaire (VVIQ). We used Virtualgraph application to conduct an experiment, and then conducted an interview as well as a survey. As results of the experiment, survey and interview, we found the followings. First, users evoke imagination better with Virtualgraph than with still images. Second, increased evocativeness affects purchase intention if the perceived quality of fresh food product is satif actory. Third, increased evocativeness makes users value products higher and do even much higher when the perceived quality of fresh food product is good. From the interview, we could find that the experimental group had higher purchase intentions and perceived products as more expensive ones. Also, they perceived images of products clearer and more vivid than did the control group. We also discuss the strategic implications of using Virtualgraph in mobile shopping malls.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pain recovery pattern according to the integrity and to analyze the factors affecting the progress and level of pain postoperatively. Materials and Methods: We examined 153 patients, who were treated with arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. 101 rotator cuff tears were full-thickness tear and 52 were partial tear. The mean follow up duration was 20 months (12~30 months). We evaluated the visual analogue scale, range of motion, ASES (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons), and UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) scores preoperatively and postoperatively. We analyzed the pain recovery pattern between partial and full thickness tear using Student T-test and the factors affecting the progress and level of postoperative pain using multiple regression analysis. Results: The change patterns of visual analogue scale after arthroscpoic repair were similar regardless of the tear integrity. The VAS showed a continuous decreasing pattern, but increased at first 3 weeks postoperatively and at 7 weeks postoperatively, and then, decreased thereafter. The average VAS was ${\leqq}2$ points by postoperative 3 months. The factor affecting the pain score at 3 months was related to the preoperative limitation in forward flexion ($r^2=0.377$, p=0.021). Conclusion: There was no differences of the pain recovery pattern according to the integrity, and the factor affecting the progress of postoperative pain was preoperative angle of forward elevation. So, the appropriate preoperative rehabilitation protocol that can improve motions of the shoulder joint would help to improve the level of postoperative pain and functional recovery.

This thesis at the interactivity are three ways to take advantage of the present work in the area of the author and sentimental self-image gain. First, the type of sentimental survey based on the rack at the interactivity to expand the city's area of representation, and second, through user existing types of active interaction in a variety of subjective interpretations allow us to escape, and Third, the interaction between the author and user way through the city to establish new forms of expression.

Today, it appears that the rapid advances in technology have allowed broadening both the system technology and the business opportunities in the rail industry. Owing to the developments in technology and the industry, and also due to the hearth, the latest high-speed trains and a variety of unattended operations in rail systems are being developed and are operational. In particular, this study covers the existing railway rolling stock and signaling systems that operate in an environment more complex than the concept of localized management, so the introduction of a new signaling system is needed. In addition, developments based on the existing signal system concepts for passenger railways need to minimize human injury. In this study, to participate in the development of new systems in a variety of domains and to provide an integrated common vision methodology as an engineer on the basis of efficient signal system design and safety would like to present the methodology for action. Therefore, each different linkage through the next new domain zone system design: design through to secure the integrity of safety than can secure methodology.

The purpose of this study was to investigate morphological characteristics of 153 wild grown Poa pratensis collected from various areas of Korea and to see correlation among morphological characteristics and visual rating. Morphological characteristics such as plant height, leaf length, leaf width were measured. The collected Poa pratensis plants showed various morphological differences. The plant height of Poa pratensis ranged from 4.5 to 40.0cm. Poa pratensis leaf length ranged 3.0 to 30.2cm and leaf width ranged 1.0 to 5.0mm. The mean values of Poa pratensis height, leaf length and leaf width were 18.2cm, 13.1cm and 2.7mm respectively. The Poa pratensis plots were also visually rated 1 to 9 scale throughout the growing season for their overall characteristics as turfgrass. The height, leaf length, leaf width and visual rating had significant positive correlations. Especially the height and leaf length had a highly significant positive(r=0.74) correlation.

This study aims to propose integrated management strategies based on the relationship between co-benefits and total benefits of greenhouse gases and air pollutant emissions for establishing a transport and environmental policy. The results show that the integrated management of the following policies: 'Car Free Day' and 'Early Scrapping of Decrepit Diesel Vehicle', which are used for reducing reduce gasoline and diesel, can together reduce both PM and $CO_2$ emissions and increase total benefits. In addition, the integrated management of 'Car Free Day' with environment policies and 'Congestion Charge' with environment policies simultaneously controls the three factors which influence emissions, including travel volume, travel speed and emissions factor, and was found to be effective in terms of co-benefits. This study reduces both air pollutants, which are harmful to health, and greenhouse gas emissions, which influence climate change, and improves the efficiency of policy through the integrated management of policies.

The effective method for heating root-zone during winter season was studied in the aspects of growth, yield and economics for tomato ($Solanum$ $lycopersicum$) in perlite bag culture. There were four root-zone heating treatments: two hours heating from one hour before to one hour after sunrise, four hours from two hours before to two hours after sunrise, 15 hours after sunset, and no heating. The growth characteristics of the upper parts of plants were not significantly different among the treatments, but root volume increased with longer heating of the root zone. The Plant Development Index, using stem diameter and the length between growing tip and the upper flowering truss, showed relation between yield per cluster and growth pattern. The treatment heating for four hours was the most economic in terms of growth and yield of tomato.
